$20 is around the normal price for this model…

    • Mostly I have seen it around $22.50

      • $22.50 when half price at Coles but it comes with 2 refills and flybuys

    • Often on sale at Woolworths for closer to $40 so this is a good price.

      • Often on sale at Woolworths for closer to $40

You must be shopping at the wrong store… I see them often for around $20

  • I prefer $2 tooth brushes

      So does your dentist…

      It keeps them employed.

  • Has anyone tried using Shipster free shipping with this deal ? Mine doesn't seem to be working, despite having correct email with active Shipster membership and order total abive $25.

Been using this for almost 3 years now.. not holding battery as good now so I have to keep it plugged in..such great thing though.

That's because this toothbrush in particular, is made in China, the battery starts having issues after around 2 years, every single one of them. Like you, I had to keep mine on charge, and sometimes, when removing it from the charger, it would turn on by itself.

I emailed the Shaver Shop about warranty, since it was only 2 weeks out from expiring, they ignored me so I asked office of Fair Trading, and they said my case had merits, but I didn't follow it up because they wanted me to chase up The Shaver Shop myself.

There are Oral-B electric toothbrushes that are made in Germany, but you need to look on the back.

  • I've been using these for at least 10+ years (and remember when they were closer to $100) and replaced them when battery dies out… but can't figure out what is the (real) difference between this and the newer $100-$200 models which seem to offer same thing, use same heads, etc. I saw 3D vs 2D, "programs" (how different can it be??) and nicer carrying cases for travelling but couldn't work out if it's worthwhile or not even thinking about it.

I saw other brands have more innovative chargers so you can insert it any way and it'll charge (like the Philips one) but I wouldn't be spending $100 just for that!

    • I'm quite sure it's all marketing bull, as long as your brushing regally enough.

and paying particular attention to the crowns.

        • Why crowns? Should be the same for all teeth in your mouth

  • Been using the vitality for many years now and it's time to replace it as it's not holding its charge anymore. Should I get the pro700 or better? Or stick with the vitality?

    • +1

Get the 7000 if you can, its pressure sensitive so a red light goes off if you're pushing too hard which is very useful has i had painful damage from brushing too hard that needed a filling but after using this brush for 6 months the pain completely went away.

Who is going to do that? Might as well buy a new one at $20.

        • +1

someone who wants to save $$$/clever people/aren't you an ozbargainer?

  • +1

The Woolies homebrand (compatible with oralb) one uses two AA and is just 10 bucks, most around here would have plenty of eneloops to power them.

  • Anyone had a look on eBay? I emailed the customer service if store pickup up was available and they said go on to eBay which surprising I found the pro 1000 for around 65-70 free shipping!

    • yep got PRO 1000 from ebay for $66.49 after 5% ebay code

  • Yep, mine is losing charge now.

  • +1

Lots of Oral-B stuff half price at woolies at the moment.

  • Thanks OP, bought the Pro 700 for $39.95 + $9.95 shipping!

  • +1

Anyone going for the vitality oral b just go to woolies it's on sale for 22.50.
It's extra 10 shipping if u buy it on shavershop.

    • Or use coupon new account.

  • I remember buying one of these systems and then they updated the refills to not fit the machine I had. I wonder if this is guna happen again, especially if there are "sales" going around.

  • You can get them for the same on ebay if you prefer it delivered, 10% coupon code makes it cheaper.

Or Amazon inc 10% Cashback (https://www.amazon.com.au/Oral-B-Vitality-Precision-Recharge…)

  • This is good old subscription money making model - Braun and Oral-B makes their money on consumables. Fake brushes aren’t any good - their bristles don’t do the job as well and their mechanics deteriorate sooner. Wishing for a better alternative.

  • I really dislike the vibration etc., reminds me of getting fillings.

  • Are all the heads compatible across versions? Can't remember which model I bought. Probably the 20 buck one.
