    Very cheap and unreliable brand

Has anyone been able to find the noise specs for this?
In the market for one, currently weighing up between cheap (this one @ 550 m3/hr) or a $600-$700 one that is probably quieter and moves 700-1200m3/hr.
What I am currently leaning towards is: https://www.appliancesonline.com.au/delonghi-canopy-rangehoo…
but I have never really had a range hood, so not sure if its worth the extra money.

Not only noise you need to consider but how well they suck

    • Ended up buying this one, will see how it goes.
I will be doing the installation myself, so if it fails, $88 is not a bad price to pay to know for next time :)

Most of the cheap rangehoods seem to make a lot of noise but barely suck anything.

I'm always surprised they can't make them a bit more effective like a bathroom exhaust fan.

    • My bathroom exhaust fan does nothing except make noise and use electricity.

    • 60s, 70s(?) kitchens had ceiling extractors the same as in a bathroom.

If your rangehood is not doing a lot better, even the cheapest, it is installed badly.

  • Thinking of replacing

Can anyone tell how much in labour do I have to fork out to get it installed professionally?

The Omega one is too noisy, hoping that Schweigen one is as quiet as they say.

    • Its not a profession. Not even a trade. You just need someone with basic man skills who can read the included instructions.
ie a handyman. (and drill, spirit level, …)
