Wait, what? What is this Doctor Who marathon of which you speak?

      • -1

      • It's a quote from the simpsons

Thanks OP. Tried GYG for the first time recently during the BOGOF brekkie burritos, pretty delicious!

My first time was with the mobile app & get one free burrito. Not sure if this still happening (for new member only), you can download their app & see.

      • A descent portion of meat inside the burrito, veg and rice, where's the sauce at, tho? Not bad for 5 dolla.

  • This is excellent news.

  • +1

even better its on a saturday too so i can get to local store. thanks OP love Gomez.

They will probably get my order wrong again.

    • Coffs harbour store?

      • -1

Every store. Ok, just the 4 different ones I have been to. Not my pick to go (except the first time) but still got it wrong. Twice not checking before I left. I have only been 4 times. Probably not again.

        • -1

Yeah I know the pain. Coffs store has to be the worst I've been to though. Was given $25 credit to try the store again but still won't go back there.

        • +1

@d1s34s3d: I go quite regularly and I've never had any issues

  • Can I scan my app for points?

  • "Customers can take part in the $5 promotion as many times as they like during the promotion period."

    I can imagine some massive…..

  • +1

love the burritos but considering their size this should be their standard price. one is never enough

    • +2

Maybe you need the whole enchilada, gringo?

Has anyone tried freezing a burrito for later consumption? If so, does it freeze well and how did you reheat it. Seriously.

    • I'd imagine the tortilla wouldn't freeze very well

      • I'm not sure about the entire burrito (I don't think rice freezes well) but the tortilla can survive it!

        • +1

          Cooked rice freezes well

    • +10

I've frozen them a few times - freeze it in the foil wrapper, and just chuck it in the toaster oven still frozen, cook on low for about 30 mins or until heated through. Never had a problem with them. HTH.

    • Give it a go… I guess

  • ¿están contentos, gente?

  • This promotion is ridiculous

    • Please elaborate.

Why couldn't they come up with a simpler name? Guzman why Gomez ?

    • It's actually said as "goozmani gomez"
IMO rolls off the tongue if pronounced correctly

    • Gringo!

  • I ate free burito today in MadMex.

    • tell me more tell more…
      LALALALALA

  • I ate 2 :D

    • +1

Thanks for sharing, I just about to ask whether you ate 2 burritos.

  • $5 coronas seem to be happening in qld stores too. We visited acacia ridge, it's quieter than the other stores, but is also enforcing 2 burritos per person.

  • Tried to get one today but didn't want to wait an hour. Went to a store in the outer suburb (Tullamarine) at 2PM. There was a queue of about 25 people waiting to order and it was coming out the door. :-(

    • Why didnt you order on the app then.
