Your "Product Website" link goes to the XS35GT not the specified XS35.

  • Your website links to the XS35GT, with Nvidia Ion and HDMI.
Nice unit, but are you that is the one you are selling?

Your own web page does not mention what graphics chip it has. VGA D-Sub only?

    • It has VGA only.

  • I can't really comment on whether this is a deal or not as haven't done any research into it, but be aware that the expresspcparts page has two separate links to the product website. The one under Tech Specs links to the official shuttle page for the XS35GT, where as in the right hand "Product Information" section it links to the base model XS35.

The XS35 has the "Intel GMA 3150 Graphic engine" whereas the XS35GT has "Built-in Nvidia next generation ION
    Support 1080P and Blue-ray playback".

I am expect this deal is for the XS35 base model (The product info shows model as XS35-2GB-C).

    • Thanks for the comment. There was an error in one of the links, which has now been corrected. Sorry for that.

This is the XS35 base model (XS35-2GB-C)

  • No Win7 OEM?

  • Would make a decent non gaming non HTPC PC.
Even with a ion chipset it would struggle as a HD friendly HTPC ( 2 tuners, x264 encoding and streaming)

    • My Ion 1 based dual core atom chipset handles those tasks easily (though I don't really do any x264 encoding). Without a decent graphics core this one will struggle with 1080p decoding though.

  • with NO OS not really a bargain as ud be spending extra 150$ to get it up and running. $550 would get you a i3 laptop with double ram and Win7 included.

    • You have to compare apples with apples. Laptops with laptops, PCs with PCs. I think this is a bargain because I think you can't find this shuttle PC cheaper.

you can't bolt a laptop to the back of an LCD

niche product is all it is

    • no u cant but u can connect it through a cable to get then same result.. not to mention able to use it where ever you are as well. Correct…very small niche product.

      Why not?

      • HAHA id like to see some one give it a try

          Job done haha.

You can quite easily attach a laptop to the back of an lcd, 3M does a product for building cladding that would actually tear the lining layer off before it loses the bond. You can also close the lid and run the laptop in a clamshell mode with the monitor, which is quite desirable actually.

  • Been researching low power HTPC for a bit and it's a shame this is an inbetweener. Not powerful enough for a HTPC, not cheap enough that you wouldn't choose a laptop over this if you were going to use it as a desktop. Infact, it makes more sense to use a laptop as a HTPC now because of their inherit low power profile, their form factor fits with HiFi equipments and everything is integrated.

Probably the best price for this platform, shame that I can't find a practical application for it.

  • stumble across the zbox hd-id11 on zotac yesterday running xbmc. umart is a reseller. price looks like hard drive is extra.

  • i like the fact it uses a faster dual core cpu the D510 but it kind of limits what it does, the cpu says 'lets game' but the crappy graphics says 'i give up' on almost any game less than 5 years old! what's left, audio/video encoding? hd video playback would struggle without proper h/w acceleration
