        You should be more upfront and let customers know that the handset will be handled by your technicians. I personally would like the handset box to arrive sealed. Because even if there are any problems, I can contact the retailer or manufacturer.

  I hope that people realise that most of their phones are network 'branded'. When I purchased a phone off them on eBay, it was just a prepaid handset - illegally unlocked and repackaged. They outright lied to me and said that it was opened for 'testing'.

    Hi, Yes a % of handsets are sold as network branded similar to most online Telco retailers selling Australian Stock Handsets, In most cases branded handsets can be flashed by our techs so if this is something you would prefer feel free to let us know at the time of purchase.

    Same thing happened to me when I bought off 'mobileciti' on ebay. Sure, my sim worked but the internet was locked to vodafone.. This was a few years back but just be cautious of buying 'unlocked phones' on ebay.

  I got my HTC Legend at a remarkable price. great thing was, it got unlocked for no extra fees :).
  I am running it on my optus now.
  I saw many of them flooded in ebay. People do sell phones locked earlier with some other telco and sell them.
  But I wander, if the companies like Unique mobiles are doing it. because, locked phones under cap are somewhat cheaper.
  Anyways, still if people get a cheaper price, its a bargain.
