        Thanks for the quick reply. I guess I can use whatsapp (i.e., data) to make calls. I doubt I would need more than 1GB a day? Not entirely sure. And in terms of SIM, whatever is cheaper I guess, both should be easy to use?

        Also I'll be stopping in Abu Dhabi for a day on the way, but I guess you don't have a SIM that covers both. Most important is Europe anyway.

        Edit: and note that I'd only activate mid-April next year, as mentioned.

    We used TravelKon sims for our NZ trip recently and we were generally happy with them.

    Some thing to note, the traffic was routed through Poland. This makes Google results a bit weird. Ex. Prices shown in Poland currency. If you have WAF rules setup for specific Geo locations (for accessing home servers etc), this could trip them up.

    The speeds were also a bit slower even with 5g, not sure if this was caused by the routing through Poland too.

      Yes our older NZ eSIM provider was Plus Poland (which uses One NZ) which is mentioned on the product page. We have recently changed provider to 3 Austria (although still a European provider 😅) however since they used Spark in NZ we think it would be better.

    - when I click on the link, it states 8gb, but the rest of the page states 6gb. Which one is it?
    - How are the 8 days counted, it is 8 days counting from the point of activation (ie 192 hours after you activation) Or it is 8 calendar days, eg if I activate anytime on 1st Jan 25, it will expiry at 11:59pm of 8th Jan 25?

    The Japan e/sims mention Hotspot/Tethering limits apply.
    How does that work?

    Say I have 3 devices tethering off the 15 day eSIM option.
    It says 15GB limit for tethering, what happens after the limit is reached?

    Does the limit count uploads as well?

      After the 15GB limit the tethering will stop, your main device will still work as normal.
