    There's a better deal per cartridge (6 pck): https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/AU-New-6-Pack-X-Brita-Maxtra-Wat…

    • i prefer my filters not to come from china with the risk of being fake.

Nice to know your preference, even though it's irrelevant and not applicable.

  • Isnt it cheaper if you use pronto10 code?

    • +1

it will be if order is $75 or more

    • yeah.. I saw that too but it is not Brita

      Compatible Brita

      • Also these filters will not work with the Maxtra + jugs as they have changed the designs. But they will work with the normal Maxtra jugs.

    Hi All,

Just thought I would add a little bit of an insider tip.

Filters can last 2 months, 20 ltrs per week before quality starts decreasing. Just need to reset timer on jug as the timer is now set to 4 weeks on new products.

I now use 1 filter every 2 months and can confirm no change in taste.

Shame those things work on time, not number of refills, which is what determines remaining capacity. The way activated carbon filters work, they absorb particles and basically fill up, slowing the flow of water. Depending on the quality of the water going in, they may last much longer than the approx 160 refills you're referring to. Though to my taste I find 100-120 refills about right.
