How is it different to the long running P5OZZIE ?

    • +4

      The more, the merrier!

    • +28

This is good for people that have used up all their P5OZZIE codes ;)

edit: obligatory give us 20% eBay amazon etc etc

      • +1

Thanks .. didn't knew there was a limit

    • +32

      P5OZZIE expired this morning.

      • +6

I found out the hard way this morning - spending time finding a useful small item to push it over $30 to see the code no longer worked so I bought my original item anyway. Now turns out could've done it after all …

(it's only like a $1 difference but it's the OzBargain principle damn it! >_< lol )

        • And highlights these are good deals?

      • +3

        …rest it’s soul.

  • +7

Yep, worked for me :). Glad I waited after P5OZZIE failed this morning

    • +20

Professionals always wait for a code.

      • +11

I didn't :(. Need to hand back my Ozbargain license :S

        • Revoked!

        • What did you get that you couldn't wait? Just outa curiosity.

      • +3

Lols, daughter bought a new phone, not delivered yet, so wanted a case soonish

I held off until 10am hoping for a 10, 15 or even 20% code…..disappointed I then tried to use P5OZZIE, which had expired……then started ordering a bit after 2.15 to find this OZB gem….even if it was only for a saving of $2.96 :) + Cash Rewards of course

  • +15

I always cross shop between eBay and Aliexpress these days.
Aliexpress has consistently been more competitively priced with comparable shipping times.
Even with these 5/10% off codes, I end up buying from Aliexpress anyway lol.

    • +1

Is there any particular goods you look for on Ali Express?

I have bought some clothing on there previously but unfortunately the sizing was inaccurate.

      • +1

        Random stuff really:

        • liquid soap dispenser (suction cup wall mounted)
        • custom car mats (lol)
        • car dog hammock/carrier

        always consistently cheaper.

      • Clothing is always difficult because you have to watch out for size differences between countries.

      • This - I bought shoes size 42/10US/8UK ladies and they were about half that. Sigh.

        • -3

Yeh you have to factor in the Chinese 'bound feet' sizing. Don't be fooled

          :)

  • +1

    Thanks OP!

I used up my P5OZZIE weeks ago.

  • +4

Oh yeah, another 5% off, my excitement is vanishing.. why don't u make it permanent ebay?

    • +6

They don't make it permanent because half of the buyers on there probably don't use it, so they are making a lot more money.

  • another code. oops ~~

  • +1

    I just received a unique $10 off $20 spend :D

    • +5

Quick post it as a targeted deal. You’ll be bound to get 100 up votes.

  • +2

Ah man, just bought something 10 minutes ago..

    • +10

when this deal was posted 44 minutes ago? rookie mistake

    • +16

You definitely need a checklist before buying anything online:

      1. Check Ozbargain
      2. Check if there is CR
      3. Check Pricehipster

      Saves you $$$ per year

P.s. those savings go back into the 'system' by buying silly things from Zapal and Gearbest =)

      • +1

        What is CR?

        • +5

          Cashrewards

        • +9

          Christopher Reeve

        • @Expon:

The most important CR for ozbargainers: check your credit rating

        • Carriage Return

      • +1

Also check PricePal if there's a better rate :)

      • +7

        You missed the fourth step:

        Check OzBargain one more time.

      • Whilst indirectly covered by #1, doesn't hurt to check Amex offers too.

  • +14

    Give us 10% you bums…

    • Give us 50% off bullion you bums…

    • Agree. Need 10% off site wide since we have 20% off selected sellers (dubious due to price jacking of course).

  • 15% needs to be offered for anything to be worthwhile

    • -2

In B4 20% off site wide comment.

    • +2

Yeah man, 15% off would be nice, I remembered last year they offered 15% off site wide…….erh 15% is better than nothing smh

      • +1

Well they will have 19% off this year and finally 20% off next year for their birthday

  • +9

    Can I PICK20

    • Looks like that's the wrong code. Please double-check and try again.

    • +1

      Only 3 transactions

      • +2

        Username checks out

  • +5

5%…. big whoop. Why so many votes.

    • +17

      It's better than 0%

  • +2

Damn, made a purchase earlier today and P5OZZIE didn't work. Should have waited.

How do these very regular and average deals from eBay always get so many upvotes? The average markup from any store on eBay is at least 5%

    • +5

How do these very regular and average deals from eBay always get so many upvotes?

Because you can save 5% on things you’d probably spend on otherwise, a decent saving. Even if it’s not as good as the 10% off, at least we can save something. Better than 0%.

The average markup from any store on eBay is at least 5%

Most things I see on eBay are cheaper than elsewhere because big retailers have eBay stores. Can’t see where you’re getting that 5% markup from. You said the exact same thing Here.

If a retailer jacks their price during a Sitewide sale, buy from elsewhere.

      • -7

You can literally look up any major retailer on eBay like dell, Myer or thegoodguys and find that the prices are higher than their online store. You need to declare if you are associated in any way with ebay, which I assure you many of these upvotes are.

        • +2

Dell might be slightly different, but I assure you TGG and Myer are identical, find me an example of it otherwise please unless it’s a specific TGG website promotion with a coupon, they usually update the eBay site straight away or pretty close. Every time I search on their site and then eBay, it’s exactly the same.

    • +1

These codes are site-wide. An auction I've been following for a second-hand item finished this morning, and I was able to save almost $20 just by entering this code at checkout, on top of the money already saved by buying second hand.

  • +1

I always make use of these 5% sales, average eBay purchase is $500 so always welcome

Plus helps me as a seller with people making offers for my items, if I can get them to apply a discount, I can counter-offer a slightly higher offer

    • Yes I employ this tactic too and have found buyers to respond very positively.

  • Hooked to 10% , 5% has no 'high' intoxiacation anymore….

  • +1

Thanks OP. An auction I've been following finished this morning, and this saved me almost $20 when I finally won it and checked out. Bonus!

  • I always find that you don’t actually save anything with a 5% off code for overseas EBay purchases as the final price you pay with PayPal is always dearer than what EBay quotes on the listing due to PayPal’s exchange rate.

    • +3

Professionals don't use paypals exchange rate, they use their 28 degrees credit card or similar that has no currency conversion fee & a better exchange rate.

    • +2

Pay through PayPal with a credit card like 28degrees and you'll get a better exchange rate :-) I use it for all my foreign purchases on eBay

  • Dumb ebay

  • Was expecting a 10% deal as ebay just sent me a 10% off (max $100 off but no spend minimum) for my birthday. Sort of makes up for the fact I missed the list for he last 10% targeted offer.

  • Now expired.

    • +1

      Still working for me!

      • Sorry my bad.
        I was using P5OZZIE.

        • All good :) Hope you managed to notice before ordering!

  • I am not a store nor power seller, just ordinary guy trying to sell ordinary stuff.

Will this code work for my potential buyer? If so, I want to put that in my ads, you know just to add the interest.

    • Some stores seem to do this, so it should work if you're an Australian based store. Not sure if eBay frowns upon it.
The following listings are good examples of sellers advertising this:
      https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/40-x-Studio-Acoustic-Foam-Panel-…
      https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Premium-HDMI-Cable-v2-0-v2-1-Ult…
That second one needs to update the image to match the new code.

      • Yes, but I'm not a store ..
I'm an individual seller from eBay perspective.

        • +2

Yes it will work for any potential buyer, the sitewide discount is for individuals buying items, putting it into your ad will be not a problem, I do it every time I sell to get more attention.

Worked a treat during the 18% off sale.

  • +2

Just got a 20% off site-wide voucher on one of my accounts. I'm pretty sure it's targeted, but check your account or email. Good luck!

    • Got excited, checked my inbox, was disappointed… :(

    • Hey mate.
May I ask for that 20% off code eBay offered?
      Thanks

      • Sorry mate, I've got my eye on something. Also, I'm pretty it would be tied to my account.

    • I'm looking to buy a Xbox One X, that 20% will come in super handy! But no, I'm never targeted.

      • I've had an eBay account for years, but never really been targeted much except for the usual free listing fees.

Decided to open another account in my wife's name. 2 weeks later this pops up. I had added items to the account before to buy, but never went through with any purchases. Perhaps the eBay algorithm picked this up and targeted me.

  • So it begins

  • +2

There is also another coupon which is running alongside this PAY5LESS which ends on 31 March.

If you have exhausted PICK5, use that!

  • Thank you for sharing; very much appreciated.

I purchased the Samsung Galaxy S7 this morning on OfficeWorks eBay site which advertised $599 (Good Guys and Harvey Norman $799 hmm) after signing in to Cash Rewards. Don’t know where to find these codes actually, but entered PICK5 on payment page and has worked for me. Saved $29.95 by using the code. Yay 👏. So paid only $569.05 for this new mobile!

Initially Planned to wait a tad longer for a new phone but son’s mobile decided to give up the ghost just yesterday. Usually buy a newer phone and pass on my old ones to him. Currently using an S5 which I have been very happy with, so will be interesting to see how well it compares to S7. Have read a few reviews. I never buy latest models; am always a few models behind so the release of the S9 means I was due for an “upgrade” to S7.

Thank you again; made my day … I very much needed that!

  • no Higher Value non targeted Codes ?

  • Of course an offer I submitted on eBay was accepted early this morning and the codes have expired. Fingers crossed a new one comes later today!

    • +1

I found the new coupon but it's not ready yet :( Want to post it but just waiting for confirmation, so can confirm it's coming, maybe not today though. Doesn't have a start or end date so the mods probably won't allow me to post it before it works.

I'd hazard a guess that it'll go live tomorrow.

      • Awesome! Just knowing a new one is coming is helpful. Thanks!

      • PULL5 is now live.

  • I went to pay for 4 items one was an auction at 18:00, I went to pay at 19:30 and PICK5 indicated expired, although I test ran it at 14:00 and it was ok, Damn!
I'll wait until tomorrow seeing it's a pub hol for sellers too. eBay certainly know how to ruin Easter.

    • I'm in the same boat. I think it might go by US time I think? Would have expired at some point around 5pm.

      • Next day PULL5 was available. I'm hanging out for a 10% deal.
It sucks PULL5 has 3 x use limit especially when limited to 10 items. It's annoying when buying multiple small items as 10 items is nothing, come on eBay such fickle T&C, I mean $300 limit is surely enough!
