    • Nice troll bro

I'd already mentioned it in other posts…

We are talking about an outright purchased phone here.

You can also get an iPhone x absolutely free. You just have to pay $120 monthly for the plan bit the phone itself is "free".

You just have to pay $120 monthly

Except I'm paying $15 monthly for a total cost of $320. It was much better value than the iPhone X offer they had…

        • +1

Under a contract with a minimum total cost of $1800 over 24 months (or $1440 going by the $60 you mention?). Regardless, you are making a false comparison between products, your comments are stupid and your continuous arguing is pointless.

          @ripsnorter:

a minimum total cost of $1800

          I was already on the $60 plan…

          I'm only paying $320 for the phone !!! :P

  • how can got 8 plus for $320?

      sale finished 26-Feb

      • Nice troll.

There's no way you got an outright purchased iPhone 8 Plus 64GB for $320 brand new. These go for well over $1000 brand new. We are not talking about a contract plan phone. You don't even own the phone until the contract is fulfilled any how.

Read my comment above and if previous posts…

Phone cost $15 per month over 24 months and $40 cashback.

Plan is $60 with 20Gb which I was paying anyway… so cost to me for an 8plus will be $320…

You own the phone the second you sign the contract.

          yep…

Just sour grapes from people who missed out… They think they'll feel better by making stuff up.

        • +2

So it would be sign up for 24 mths, cancel the service, pay out all the penalties, balance of phone, and then you can own the phone and can connect to whoever you want. …. more than $320 by the time that is finished.

some people just want to buy a phone and use it on their preffered carrier.

        • @jv:

Not sour grapes by me. I already own a phone which i paid outright that's good enough for me. I don't even want an iPhone to begin with as i'm into Android phones. I just didn't think you completely owned the phone on contract until the contract is either fulfilled by the full term or you've paid the early contract termination fee. I thought until then the phone still technically is owned by the phone carrier?. The contract is for you to agree to pay the monthly fee until the contract term is fulfilled. Signing a contract doesn't necessarily mean you immediately own the supplied equipment.

          no penalties…

          you were wrong then.

It’s kind of beyond the point, but you’re defintely wrong about this. You own the phone as soon as you enter the contract. If you exit the contract early, then as far is the handset is concerned, the telco will chase you for any outstanding payments on the phone, but they will not try to recover the handset from you. Because it is yours. It’s been this way for years. If that wasn’t the case, then everyone here selling their Pixel 2 XL’s from the $59 Telstra deal is selling Telstra owned property?

        • -2

you don't own until paid out either by the monthly payments, or balance if you cancel contract. In the meantime it's the property of the carrier, so if you don't pay, technically they can reposes, but that is why they take your credit card details.

No different than hire purchase of car.

        • @aja12:

You are really so wrong about that. The phone is not the property of you until the contract is fully fulfilled. It's just that it's too a hard a process for the carrier to repossess the phone if you fail to pay out the contract they don't bother and that they just send in the debt collector.

        • @hollykryten: I’m actually not wrong at all. Read the critical information summary for any current telco handset plan if you insist. It’s not the 2000’s anymore.

I also got a free house. Figured before I was paying rent, but then got a mortgage and it came with a free house. Fancy that jv

I guess you don't know the difference between buying a product and buying a service then…

  • The 96.3% positive feedback doesn't make it good.

  • vaya warranty is suck and the phone too.
Bought a s7 from them last year.Screen liquified within 3 months. Then send back for few weeks to repaired.
After 3 months no display at all. And they are asking for $300 to repair, eventhough the device still within 1 year warranty peroid. Don't want to repair?Guess what, still need pay $45 for getting the device back.

  • Work bought my iPhone and pay my service. Free free. Even paid for the two cases and smashed screen.
