"Network Lock Locked to Telstra"
Edit: https://sim-unlock.net/sim-lock/71/Unlock_by_code_all_ZTE_al…
You can also use Aldi pre-paid SIMs (and other Telstra network resellers) in these devices without the need to unlock.
Much cheaper than Telstra :-)
Are you certain? I had to call Telstra and pay to unlock my mums prepaid phone to use an Aldi SIM.
I have only used data SIMs, but this worked on two different Telstra 4G modems. One was a 4GX ADVANCED II (Netgear, AirCard 790S) the other was the previous 4G ADVANCED (not sure of the model).
But it is possible they were not network locked, as they haven't only been tested with Telstra and Aldi data SIMs.
Yes it is. You can find unlock codes on eBay for around $2.

Cheers, thanks mate!
Don't recommend for OVO/optus, as it doesn't support 3g 900mhz band.
Is it worth using this over NBN? It seems to be but what would the signal be like through the house?
The main concern about using this over NBN is that with this, you use Telstra mobile data, which isn't as lenient as Home broadband data
Cant really tell unless I've been to your house, but if your house is caravan you can park next to Telstra phone box or antenna post then it's well worth it.
How good is this? And would you guys recommend it? Currently have shit ADSL and NBN is a century away.
How's the wifi range like on this? (I'm tempted to try to use this as a modded range extender for my Parrot Bebop drone.)
Also available from Officeworks (not online) at same price. With price beat guarantee would be 5% off. I have the MF910Y version from Telstra which has a non-touch colour LCD screen.
How would you price beat the same price?
Oops, my bad. You are correct. I was thinking they guarantee a lower price, ie "price beat" not 'price match'. The devil is in the details as they say.
My Wife is with Telstra and renting Suburb in Kingston ACT. apparently, the Telstra signal is not that good. So assuming if her mobile is not good. Would it be safe to assume the modem would not be any better reception-wise?
I suspect that if your wife's phone has same 4gx spec and same bandwidth as this device, then this won't make a difference.
Hi, is it possible to unlock this and use another card in it?
Edit:
I'm using OVO, its using Optus network.
