    So what's the bargain?

    • +11

Apply code IWISHIWASA4WD HERE for a 10% discount.

      • -3

Why , most 4WD spend 99.9% of their time on the tarmac producing 20% more pollution .

        • Clearly you don't own a 4x4. They're quite fun

        • Maybe , but the Suzuki model here is 2WD

        • +2

@D3NI3D: Yeah but most people buy soft roaders and don't look like they are having any fun negotiation car park speed humps and peak hour traffic whilst simultaneously blocking visibility for everyone else.

        • @smartazz104: I agree with you to a point. I know alot of people buy 4x4 and hardly take it off road. I've got a dual cad bt-50 and it goes offroad at least once a fortnight. Living in the Top End (Darwin) there are ALOT of 4x4 up here.

Lol I hardly even feel speed humps on mine and car parks are manageable once you get used to the car.

  • Underpowered dog as an auto. Decent as a manual. This should be normal price for auto and manual should be 21990.

  • "Daytime running lights" Thats a feature ?

    • Haven't you heard about Bluetooth as a selling point feature? Been going on for more than 10 years lol. It doesn't cost them literally 10c to add the chip for Bluetooth connectivity. I mean, Bluetooth is a deal breaker when you're buying a car… Stupidity. Oh yes, alloy wheels. Please kill me now.

      • Sure bluetooth costs "next to nothing" to add . Surely "Daytime running lights" actually costs nothing to add . Actually you no longer need a switch to turn them . Thats a win .

        • +2

Actually does LEDs for daytime cost almost nothing, it's all so cheap and you can get it done yourself on your car if you're a bit of a handyman. Under $50 easily. But people are getting more dumb everyday and everything to them is premium.

Good to see you removed your invalid neg vote. Here are the Voting Guidelines so you know how to neg in the future.

    • +6

You are probably right that it's a bad deal. However, I think that valid negative votes should fall into one of these categories and the reason should be given.

      Appropriate uses of negative vote

      • Cheaper price elsewhere
      • Defective product
      • Major issue with retailer

For example, give the lower price and the link of where to get it. In this case, I believe that Suzuki controls the price so lower prices are not straightforward to come by. Cheapest I can see is $23,888 Australia-wide so basically, that's the best price listed above.

      • +2

Suzuki (who are the wholesaler) don't control the price, the dealer (retailer) ultimately chooses the price of the vehicle.

        • Good point. That would be price maintenance, which is prohibited since 2010.

      • +1

Found it cheaper as you did, so down vote appropiate?
        https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/Suzuki-Vitara-2018/…

        • It's not very much lower. $111 is nothing to sneeze at but it's 0.5% of the purchase price. I wouldn't bother downvoting, just report the deal for not having enough information.

        • @twocsies: considering this is ozb, I’d like to think $111 is a lot for some ;)

        • @Danstar: Sure, I get your point. But there is only one dealer offering one car at that price.

    • +2

Oh really? Do you often downvote when you get RickRolled?

      • +1

        I didn’t realise I down voted.

        Sorry if I’ve offended you

        • You haven't. I thought it was funny though.

It was a bargain, If it was VITARA S-TURBO at this price.

  • -2

    OfficeWorks price match available?

And I wonder how much Qantas/Virgin FF points can I get if I pay CC?

    • yes

    • Tried to do that with my current car and only allowed up to $5k on my card.

    • +1

So many uptight people, can’t take a joke

  • Any bonus Flybuys points with this deal?

    • Yes, if you pay with your coles mastercard

  • Not available in northern NSW or QLD , so basically anywhere that their more popular because of rainfall? Dirt roads?

    • +1

      Different importer.

  • +1

    normal price isn't a bargain

    plenty of dealers doing cheaper

    https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/bncis/suzuki/vitara/rt-s-ba…

    • I can only see manual and or 2017 compl.
Only one cheaper by couple hundred $. as explained by comment below…

  • -2

    Recommended for high yield investment.
    Yeah I went there..

  • Buy a Japanese built vastly superior, better backed, more powerful Mitsubishi ASX, for around the same coin, you can thank me after

  • Ozbargain has become "OZCarClassifieds"?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/365843

  • Suzuki have finally put this listing as a March Deal. Apparently the deal is "Free Auto". http://www.suzuki.com.au/latest-offers/vitara-rt-s-auto-marc…

Seems that every dealer is following the price advice of Suzuki, except for Lancaster Suzuki. Maybe they'll say that's a price error? Their website says the "Free Auto" deal but they also have a manual selling for "$22,990 Drive Away". If it's "free auto", shouldn't that mean it's the same price as the manual?

Lancaster have got the "Free Auto" deal posted on the site, but it's not the price they have listed on their site. http://www.lancastersuzuki.com.au/special/ shows the $23,999 price, but they list it as $23,888 under new cars http://www.lancastersuzuki.com.au/new-cars/
