I took a couple of mates to OW yesterday, they beat the CP price ($98) by 5% - They both walked out with $93.10 wdtv lives!
One of the main suppliers say that ETA will be first week of Jan or so.
Called up Officeworks Parra and it's instore for $98 as well, so save yourself the delivery fee and pick it up straightaway.

That's almost like 'bargain inception'! Gotta be careful going that deep in a price match…you can lose yourself in there! You'll need a totem, as small object; say a receipt; to keep track of reality! ;)

The OW around Clarence Street, Sydney will only price-match store prices. They do not accept receipts. I tried showing them the sub $80 receipts from the other thread, they did not accept it.
I tried the Ballarat store and they treated me like an idiot when I tried to get them to price match an another OW store. They said we dont have to price match other OW, because we all have the same price :( Really , really rude too

I got 2 from the ballarat store last week for $83.10ea they price matched good guys. Think I have had 4 price matches in a row and might go back to ow to see if they will refund the difference down to $72.
What was the goodguys deal you used?
Anyway to get a pricematch down here in SA, don't think they'll accept interstate ones without adding postage.

I had the same issue tonight (Victoria Park, WA) showing the receipt and mentioned it might've been from Harvey Norman/Clive Peters but after 15min of waiting it was "No deal". Shame because the first guy I talked to sounded confident when I showed him that $76 receipt and then he said "I'd better check it". Doh :(
Oh well, $98 is still a great buy and I used an xmas gift voucher too so I actually didn't pay anything :)

Got refunded $26 from the price change. If the price drops again (good chance), then I'll go in again for a refund in the difference.
Do you mean the difference between $124 and $98? I bought one at $124 a week or two ago. What are the conditions to get the difference refunded? Thanks for any help with this.
You just need the receipt - say you want a refund on the price difference and they will give it to you on the spot in cash or by EFTPOS. You might want to bring in your WDTV to play on the safe side. I bought my WDTV 2.5 weeks ago and that was alright with them.

They said that they needed to see a catalogue price in order to conduct a match. I think an officeworks receipt is better than a catalogue but there you go. But but but, according to the assistant someone had been successful with that same link before I came along!

Just wanted to say thanks as I it for $76 at Officeworks (fountain Gate VIC) yesterday using the $80 Jbhifi scan. They called up the local jbhifi, they did not have stock but confirmed the price. The officeworks guy then said im sure another jbhifi will have stock so ill give it to you for the same price!

OW in SA reject these receipts. They said have to be original receipt (WTF!) and they receive email from head office about this.

OW Chadstone and Carnegie (VIC) wouldn't price match from the receipt of other OW stores. They wanted to know where the original price match was from and they'd match that. Oh well, gave it a go…
I printed out 4 receipts from above and tried them at Watergardens OW, HN and DSE, no luck. JB just closed in time so will try tomorrow.
HN and DSE said they don't price match receipts, only catalogues. OW said they would only price match a same day receipt and only from a competitor, not another OW store as the.piemaker said.

you can also layby them. some places dont let you layby sale items but harvey norman do.
