  • Should I buy 10? ;)

  • being sold by a marketplace seller - nofrills - NOT amazon.com.au who are selling it at $299.20

    just so its clear!

  • Meh. Worth a shot.
Payment accepted. Hopefully it goes through. :)

  • According to Nikon, only compatible with the D7000 (and presumably its sequels). It's also out of inventory over there, so may be on clearance.

    • D7100 and D7200 use the MB-D15, not 11.

Nikon have decided not to release a grip for the D7500. There are 3rd party ones on Ebay that use the remote port to control the camera, but no idea how safe or reliable these are - certainly seem like a kludge.

      https://www.ebay.com/itm/Travor-Battery-Grip-for-Nikon-D7500…

      • Oh. Poo.
        Just realized that. I have a 7100.

        • +1

All you can do is try to cancel the order I suppose.

      • I've used the third-party ones for my D5100 and D5600 (also no genuine option) and they work perfectly well.

May not be a price error. It's for the D7000. Superceded by the D7100, D7200, and now D7500. 4 models ago. Could be a clearance. Still as useful as ever if you're still shooting with the 7.5 year old D7000.

  • just some quick research has come up with aftermarket ones for around the $30-$50

so might not be a price error and more like a misbranded aftermarket part

    • It's for a 7.5 year old model. May be a genuine part that they're trying to get rid of. Wouldn't be many in the market for a grip for a D7000.

Still using my D7000. Takes great photos, nice to use, last thing it needs is to be bigger and heavier.

    • Great camera. I have a 24-70 or a 70-200 on mine. Makes it very heavy but the grip balances it out a bit so not so nose heavy.

    • Holds twice as many batteries, nicer to use sideways in portrait mode — provides a side grip and shutter release button.

  • @Kurt Kobain:

Please add to title or top of description in bold that it is for D7000 only.

  • Old stock for old model. Normal price.

  • Two local firms i.e. Ryda.com and one other, have been selling the genuine article on eBay for months now for about that price.
I can't spot the Ryda one but here is the alternative
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Nikon-MB-D11-D7000-Battery-Grip-…

Even cheaper with the 10 or 20% sales that regularly come up.

I looked seriously at one but upgraded my camera body instead.

I'm giving OP a + tick anyway as the D7000 is still a good camera capable of great shots.

    • Interestingly, my grip arrived from Amazon and it was actually from Ryda.

  • does't look like price error, more like a clearance

  • am not sure though - product sold on ebay looks like battery grip and product in amazon is battery pack.

      Hi Kurt,
have a squiz at the part number and do a google search.
      Its the same product.
In fact, the battery, a Nikon EN-EL15 which most of the upper level newer bodies use, is a lot dearer than this item and in Aus. over $100.
These, like the newer versions for D7100/D7200/D7D500/ D500 etc all use that EN-EL15 battery, as do many of the FX cameras including the D800 series i.e. D800/D810/D850 albeit the latest ones have an "a" suffix at the end.
The products in both this and the supplied eBay link are the same.

Hey you've still spotted it at a great price though as they were pricy when the D7K first came out.
Always good to have more options on stuff for sale at decent prices.

      • Thanks for the info….

  • I guess this should fit older DX models such as D90, D90 as well.
Edit: Sorry, that's a different model. This would only suit D7K.

  • damn you! Ordered!!!! :)

  • Found the Ryda auction for the genuine article.

Also when questioned, Ryda said that their one included the AA battery tray.

I did ask quite a few resistings ago so suggest a re-confirmation.

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Nikon-MB-D11-Multi-Power-Battery…

Reason I've mentioned this is that not all sales include the AA tray.

    Free postage with Ryda too

This seller (No Frills) is part of Ryda group, so they should be identical.
