This'll be perfect for practicing doing mad skids in the Bunnings car park

    • maccas trays and a bunning snag.

  • How about Logitech K480. Is it better than K400 plus? It is the same price. Anyone's thought?+
    https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/logitech--k480-bluetooth-mult…

    • 480 is designed with tablets in mind.

    • Very different keyboards, for different uses.

K480 is a multi device keyboard for basic computer use (to be used with mouse) and tablet/mobile devices.

K400 is more an all-in-one keyboard for a single device - eg HTPC or media device.

So really depends what you want to use it for. If you’re going to use it with tablets/mobiles, get the K480. If you want the inbuilt trackpad for couch usage, get the K400. Otherwise, I probably wouldn’t really suggest either to be honest - get the right keyboard for your purposes.

    • K480 meant for tablets its also multi device. K400 is meant for single device and basically media pc like use case.

I use k380 and I use that with my macbook pro, mac mini and a third device which could be office laptop at times or raspberry pi programming .. mouse is mx master with same devices.

The issues; no issues with keyboard, logitech keyboards are pretty solid. Occasional interference with wifi on early days which I guess is common issue with any bluetooth devices. I now switched to 5GHz wifi and no more interferences.

Found this one at decent price..

..In the first comment of the original deal

  • +1

very good price for that g920

  • I didn't even need the G920.. But it's cheap…

    • I thought the same but I'm not going to. No room for that and needs to be clipped to a table for gameplay etc. I'll resist and pretend I didn't see it. Heh.

      • can’t you just unclip after you are done with it?

  • Do you guys think $75 dollars for the g413 keyboard is worth it?

    Tempted to upgrade.

    • Original listed price is way to high since most places sell for about 120 but the discounted price certainly is cheap

  • What’s the G920 like when used with a PC?

    • +1

Works like any other wheel. Plug and play.

      • Does this work with Mario Kart on the Wii emulator and Wii U emulator?

    • It's great. I play F1 2017 (pc) and Forza 7 (xbone) with it. The brake pedal is very stiff though (but feels more realistic), so you might need to do some adjustments (brake sensitivity and saturation) in the game settings as some games don't take it into account properly (i did).

      • +2

You can actually take the rubber bumper out of the pedals. It softens it up and allows a full range of motion. Few videos online describing how to do it.

        • Yeah I have seen those, but I actually like the feel of the pedal.

    • +2

It's awesome on the PC, plugs into USB and has a separate power supply. Make sure you install the Logitech Gaming Software or your experience will be underwhelming. http://support.logitech.com/en_au/product/g920-driving-force…

Currently playing Project Cars 2 on the PC with this wheel and the experience is brilliant. The developers of this game have done wonders with the feedback through the wheel and the feel is so realistic. You feel it load up through corners, vibrate over irregular surfaces, snap loose on oversteer / understeer. You can really drive the cars on the edge. https://www.cdkeys.com/pc/games/project-cars-2-deluxe-editio… ($62.59 AU -5% Facebook Discount Code)

Also played through Forza Horizon 3, which I thought was good with the wheel, but Project Cars 2 takes it to the next level and more.

I got the JB package at Xmas for $349 with the optional 6 speed gate shifter, but to be honest haven't used the shifter at all as I had nowhere to mount it and the sequential paddles work just fine.

** Edit : Agree with above poster. The brake pedal is very stiff at the bottom of it's travel, my chair is on casters and I couldn't get enough brake force to get full braking. There's a simple reversible physical mod that can be done to remove a rubber stopper at the bottom of the pedal's travel. (I can't avocate doing that is it's likely to affect warranty, but…… just search google for g920 brake pedal mod if you want to know what it's about)

harmony elite remote is listed as $549 which is $100 above the rrp sold by logitech and $250 above most of the smaller tech shops. Shame on you "good" guys!

  • Can anyone recommend a wireless full size keyboard? I'm doing a lot of number crunching work. THanks.

    • Logitech MK850 ($79.50 through this TGG sale)

  • Friend told me to buy Thrustmaster T300 RS, don't even bother with Logitech wheels. Can anyone who has used both provide some insights?

    • -1

      Google maybe ?

    • +2

I own the older Logitech one and tried the thrustmaster. The T300 is definitly smoother and better quality, hence more expensive. The thurstmaster shifter is expensive as well. It all depends on your budget. logitech is your entry level sim racing gear.

    • +3

As OzBargain's comment said, G920 is more or less entry level in the world of sim racing. But if you just want a wheel to play around and have fun, G29/G920 is cheap, reliable and working fine. The shifter from thrustmaster is much more expensive, but when you compare to logitech's shifter (which is just a plastic toy that pretend to be shifter), the quality is night and day.

If you have enough money, go for T300 RS/TX, depends on you have PS4 or Xbox (if you only race on PC, then doesn't matter); if you want to add a bit more money, go for the versions (for example, the Gran Tursimo version) that come with T3PA pedal - a lot better than the default one; if you just want to try it, G920 or G29, depends on you have Xbox or PS4 (if you only race on PC, then doesn't matter).

    • +1

The Thrustmaster feels like a real wheel because it uses magnets for resistance whereas the Logitech uses cogs that impart a bumpy feeling when you move the wheel.

I often think that the Logitech is a great controller rather than a great steering wheel. You will have very good control but it won't feel like a car when you're using it. The Thrustmaster will feel like a car and may have slightly better control.

  • Anyone used the K830? Wonder if its worth 2x the price of the K400.

    • According to reviews, it's more solidly built and has a built-in battery:
      https://www.anandtech.com/show/9220/interacting-with-htpcs-l…

If you're using a HTPC for web browsing every day, I'd say it's probably worthwhile. The K400 trackpad especially is a bit cheap feeling.

But personally, I just use a HTPC keyboard to either launch movies or fire up Steam. So I really couldn't justify anything fancier than the K400. It feels cheaply-made, but it works just fine.

      • Thanks mate. Given its half price ill prob go the K830 but I agree its probably not worth 2x the price from the reviews ive just watched.

  • ANyway to make this work with ps4?

    • -1

rename your PC or Xbox One 'PS4"

    • +1

      No

The G29 is the Playstation version of this device. Unfortunately doesn't seem to be listed on the store.

    • +1

You can buy little boxes that translate between PC/Xbox/PS4/yada yada controllers, maybe there's something for this?

However the PS4 has it's own version of the G920 known as the G29 which has PS4 exclusive rev lights on it.

GIMX will let you use other Logitech wheels on other systems. It is a bit hacky though.

      So you should be able use a G920 as a G29 on a PS4.

      • Thanks for the info guys.

I had a bit of a look and it makes more sense to get a PS4/PC version and try to make it work for my rarely used xbox rather than the other way around.

Hopefully a deal pops up for that version

    • Drivehub is the best option - full 1:1 mapping of steering, feedback and other features.

  • Oh man, Logitech G502 is not available. Best gaming mouse imho. Great find OP!

Logitech G240 is great too, from 29.95 -> 14.97 for C&C. They are great for gaming mouse

Can anyone recommend me some speakers? I had the Logitech Z4 speakers before which were amazing but I had to leave it overseas. Looking for similar quality or better.

  • no Click & Collect that I could see.

  • Im not seeing anywhere to enter the promo code during the checkout process. I chose pickup if that makes any difference…

    • thanks, will try and see what it reveals when going through process.

    • Same here. tried both delivery and C&C but no place to enter code. Where am I missing it?

Ignore me I just need to get my eyes checked again. found it

    • Found the promo code box, its much earlier in the process than other sites. BUT now im getting this error. Your payment has not been successful. Please try again or another payment method. Whatever, im over it. LOL.

  • The payment information for order "{0}" is missing from table "{1}".

getting this error when trying to pay?

  • hey. seriously considering g920 for pc. Don’t really have space so can I just put thiis wheel where my keybord is and easily unmount it when I’m done? Thanks

    • Yes it mounts/unmount very easily.

    • Yep! Only annoying thing is routing the cables to the pedals depending on how pedantic you are. The Logitech steering wheel series has a fantastic yet annoying cable management system which means it looks extra neat installed (you can manage how much excess cable there is so it's great for fixed installs), but is a bit of a pain to unplug.

So if you want to have the pedal cable running behind your table (so the cable isn't dangling at your knees) then this can be an issue. I've resorted to storing my steering wheel basically next to my monitors when I'm done since it's the only way I can keep from disconnecting the cables each time but still have the cables routed the way I want. Check out these diagrams to give you a better idea:

      http://support.logitech.com/en_us/article/Mount-and-secure-t…

      • Yeah I can probably store the wheel next to the computer. Hopefully the cables are long enough.

        • Cables are plenty long :)

        • @androo: Kinda annoyed this sold out but I’ll definitely keep an yeye out for future g920 deals. :)

  • Wow so cheap. Just bought it, can't believe it's even cheaper than the normal g29.

  • +1

I think the Logitech G920 Driving Force Racing Wheel is now sold out.

    • Yes. It looks like it was sold out long ago. I got a call from them earlier asking if i wanted to cancel my order or wait for the stock to arrive.

      • I'm happy waiting for stock to arrive but they didn't need to remove it from the site

        • Yes. I remember when they were running similar decent deal on Canon EOS 80D, they had it available on the site as "Back Order". Seems like Logitech themselves are running out of stock too.

  • logitech g920 not appearing anymore…

  • I picked up a mechanical keyboard and a bluetooth dongle, thanks op

  • No g903 available :-(

  • getting this:

The promotion code you have entered is invalid. Please verify the code and try again.

  • Has anyone received their G920 yet? I'm still on backorder but they said the ETA was 28 Feb.

Is there any way to still access this price through price matching at places like JB Hi-Fi?
