Seems like a decent price drop, currently the black version is selling for $439 @ JBHifi

  I heard these are some of the most neutral-sounding headphones that come with Dolby Atmos support, but is it worth buying for gaming in places with low sound insulation (i.e., thin walls) compared to something like the Studio Pros that have noise cancellation and Dolby Atmos but slightly less neutral sound?

  I have this when it first came out, you’ll get the most out of it playing games with footsteps such as CS2. You’ll just have to download the community profile at logitech for fps game. 10/10 headset.

  Just as an FYI, these are 439 at JB HI-FI
  I think OP was looking at the Astro A50 X's which are almost identical except for the HDMI passthrough.
  If you're console gaming then the X's are the better pick.
  Otherwise these are fine for PC.

    I'm using the A50x with console but not using the HDMI Passthrough because sometimes I wanna play the PS5 through the TV sound while the headphones are connected to PC and I'm not clever enough to figure out a workaround (the headset switches the HDMI input when switching between PS5/Xbox/PC) Sound still sounds pretty decent with plugged into the consoles via USB.

    Buyer beware about the white version, after 6 months mine is starting to show some yellowing in some parts. Been trying to get it cleaned off but nothing working. Non smoking home, generally pretty clean, no Doritos while gaming :D

  I have the Gen 3 Astro A50. Best thing ever. I wish I can get the new gen 5 but just like the Gen 5, the ear pieces are smaller and not as comfy for me. It this fits you then its worth every cent. Mine is about 8y old now and only replace the ear parts every 3 or 4 years.
