Is there a English overlay for the Chinese writing

    • What's not to like?

"the ringlike flow will clean the nozzle…"

That works the same in every culture! Nothing abnormal in the translation there

    • Think of it as a crash course in learning how to read Chinese. :D

So… It sprays water all over your arse. Then what? Am I supposed to towel dry my butt afterwards like a savage?

What a shitty deal. I refuse to piss away any money on this.

    • +8

      It is a shitty deal.

You've probably never been to Japan. Jetstar currently has a sale.

    • +2

You need to try one. It'll change your life. I'd get one if I didn't need to install a power point.

      • I take my toilet seats like I take my men - not spraying all over my bottom.

  • +1

Can you program it to do just a rinse and a blow wave?

  • +6

I want this so much, but the girlfriend would never understand. She's all like "we're saving to buy a house!".

Women don't understand that a man's toilet is his throne; his quiet place of personal reflection. A man's alone time on the toilet can often be the only thing keeping a relationship together.

Sigh.. perfect birthday gift for me, but no one would buy it because it seems an inappropriate gift.

I watched a lot of Oprah when I was at Uni:

    https://www.womenshealth.gov/a-z-topics/douching

Most doctors recommend that women do not douche. Douching can change the necessary balance of vaginal flora (bacteria that live in the vagina) and natural acidity in a healthy vagina. … The acidic environment protects the vagina from infections or irritation. Douching can cause an overgrowth of harmful bacteria.

    • Vulva and Vagina are different

Vulva is the outside. Vagina is inside.

      • +1

OK, I see I didn't know that. So what you saying is the selling point is that the Xiaomi Mijia Smart Toilet Seat w/ Waterproof Electric Bidet can selectively wash a vulva without douching out the complete C*n+.

  • Shipping time

LITB shipping is slower as gearbest

Express shipping - 3 to 6 business days from China

The product keep moving for weeks in China post-offices before departing.
For me LITB is slowest in deliveries so far. Two order cancelled and lost $12 in currency conversion on refunds (after 2 months).

"Okay it's not Ozbargain level discount I know but the deal here is Express shipping"

Am I getting this right? We pre-buy and wait (at a normal price), but should be happy as we get fast shipping, so should be happy with the deal here?

How does that stack up to a deal, or am I missing the point of this dump altogether?

AND… there are cheaper ones on eBay, like a Korean Novita with air dry… this deal smells rather bad to me, worthy of a down vote perhaps?

      • +1

You are welcome to post a comparable product that you think is a good deal, but whether it is a true bargain or not will be determined by the community.

This is a deal for people who are in the market for this product. It is offered at a discount with expedited shipping from overseas. Try to beat that.

        • +1

I don't know enough about these things, so am not keen to post a deal.

But my first search came up with these, do they not compete?

          This one dries for $298
          http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NOVITA-Compact-Bidet-BD-N330AS-So…

          Even cheaper, with dryer:
          https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Auto-Electric-Toilet-Bidet-Seat-…
          https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Auto-Electric-Toilet-Bidet-S…

And there are many far cheaper ones, if you don't want a dryer. How is this deal of yours good exactly?

BTW: The geekbuying post you answered with this post was not cheap either, it turned out to be $20 cheaper on eBay- making that one cheaper than your deal too ;-)

        • +2

@zerovelocity: Xiaomi products have been known as good value for the money. This is why the community voted for Xiaomi purifier, robot vacuum, down to $1 items like USB-powered LED light, fan etc.

Quoting random products in a similar price range does not make this product not a bargain. They serve the same purpose but how can you reliably measure how well they perform, the ease of use etc.

Would you choose a Hyundai i30 over a BMW 3-series if they were for sale at similar prices?

        • +1

@sky blu: OK, not a good response.

Huh? BMW have been making vehicles since before WWII, and have lead the auto industry globally for 50 years.

Xiomi is not the BMW of electronics. It is not even a premium brand Internationally. Locally perhaps, ie in China only, and as a generalist brand.

Novita on the other hand was ISO 9001 certified in 1996, specialises in bidets. It's been making SS nozzle bidets for >10 years, exports them to Japan. Better than Samsung. Makes millions of bidets each year. Founded 1984, so big it bought Kohler last year!

          https://novita.co.kr/en/company/history

          And you neg me!

Mate, this deal's a scam! You're trying to sell a Hyundai as a BMW

        • +1

@zerovelocity: lol I didn't neg you. As I've said, Xiaomi products offer good value for the asking price. This is Ozbargain, not OzPremium. Dyson owners may not consider cheaper alternatives.

This is a deal because normally it isn't offered at this price + expedited shipping service. It beat the pre-order price from Geekbuying. If you could quickly search and find the Novita brand, I'm sure that the people who are in market for this type of product would have done their research and weighed upon prices vs values.

Here is the "Top of the Line" Novita Bidet on Amazon with a comparision of other bidets Amazon sells with the number 1 being a Toto model.

LightInTheBox are selling this product. OP is not Associated with the vendor and kindly posted this deal for us, just like you posted your deal the year before last. Member sky blu certainly does not have a reputation for scamming or deception.

        • @marcozmitch: Yep all the usual suspects. The Totos are most popular bidet in Japan.

        • +1

@sky blu: Yep. def worth doing the research.

Cannot see how the Xiaomi model rates when it costs more than an established brand with more features. Perhaps I took your comment about quality the wrong way, but I've spent enough time in China to be familiar with Xioami products and know only too well they are only one of many Hyundai's in the white goods and cloned electronics space.

        • +1

@PJC: Sorry to sound negative. Perhaps I took the comment about quality the wrong way, but yea, maybe I should just post the one's I think are better and not jack sky blu's deal.

        • +1

@zerovelocity: Fair enough. If you decide to revoke your neg, I think that is achievable by clicking 'votes' near the top of the page and then selecting your vote.

        • +1

@PJC: Thank you. I can't see how it is good value for money, there needs to be someone saying so.

There are 57 plus-votes. Have you found this item cheaper elsewhere?

  • +5

I prefer my bum gun, which is far cheaper.

It also has the added benefit of causing flooding in the downstairs apartment while I sleep.

  • Serious question, it says you dont need to wipe. but surely your going to be left with a wet ass and probably some leftovers? you do still need toilet paper right?

and someone has answered the cost of a powerpoint installation, how about fresh water plumbing? i got a feeling my house might use that greywater for toilet but idk. im kinda serious in wanting this!

    • I'm no plumber, but if you turn off your mains and your flush doesn't work, I take it that means your toilet uses fresh water, right? I don't know how grey water gets into a house, but it surely can't be from the mains if that's where your drinking water comes from.

And yes, you do need to wipe. Just makes cleaning your butt a little easier.

    • +1

Don't some of them have air dryer? Glad Dyson don't make the drying component otherwise you'd have a Dyson Arseblade sending poop to the ceiling

    • +1

This doesn’t have drying function, but even in mine that does, it suggests to wipe before using the air drier.

IMO, wiping is still necessary, but it’s considerably less than without bidet. Think of using just one or two wipes instead of 5+ to get a clean bum.

      • yup same here, before using a bidet I would use 3x more tp. You can adjust the spray pressure onto your anus, the harder the spray the more thorough the clean, so when i wipe down with tp I barely see any poop left and you're just mainly using the tp to dry off not clean off poop.

  • +1

As you sit down, the inserted sensor senses the user

    Ouch! Be gentle please.

  • Cool!

  • I've said it before and I'll say it again. No need to spend so much $$ on a bidet. My $35 bidet does the job. Pics available on request.

  • Quite certain I heard you unlock a special Pokemon when you sit on this seat, fiddle with your Xiaomi phone and do a number 2

  • Any reason why people want to pay 280 bucks more than a basic bum gun setup?

    • I reckon the fact that the water is warm, the setup is more hygenic, (as a perception, not from experience), that the system operates in a percise manner, that it operates from instantly pressing a button and is unlikely to leak, (unless installed poorly).
A Bum Gun does sound fairly basic.
A squeeze bottle for the backside might sound more inviting. I have seen people who have hoses connected to an existing tap, but that does seem basic.

      • And also I believe having heated seat during winter is an important feature.

        • Not in most of Australia

Those whom have been to Japan know the pleasure…

Issue is having a power supply behind or near your toilet, we just don't do it in Aus.

    • An ellipsis at the end of the word "pleasure" can mean other things…

      • +1

        As intended… :)

  • someone, or something spraying water directly at your butt is one of lifes great hidden treasures. it should be on everyones bucket list.

    • It's just a butt washer. Calm down.

      • There is no down. Only calm.

  • Any returns on this?

    • +1

      Can't tell if trolling..

    • +2

      No. Plenty of deposits, though.

  • Could we power this with eneloops?

  • Why spend so much on this one? Instead, use this one. It is a DIY installation too - Use a splitter at the flushing cistern connection point and you are good to go.

    • +1

Not the same at all. You need to use your hand that gets splashed with shitty water.

  • Serious question….Just been back from Japan.
Use this all the time, but i use more toilet paper to dry off my arse …
Is this the case with everyone?

Without this bidet…I can clean my crap with say 9 to 12 sheets…

With this, prob as much or little more. Coz I still wipe my arse as usual to make sure it's all clean.

Just can't trust it has washed all the shoot off

    • +1

If you've OCD you'd probably use half a roll every time. Cleanliness is relative.

Maybe it was public toilets in Japan/ you're on holidays so you haven't been frugal with the amount of paper needed to dry it off.

Or, you have trust issues like you said in the last sentence. In that case, please check with your partner.

    • The really good ones have a drying function!

  • "With one nozzle on the side rim for cleaning the anus and genital areas, helping female to clean their vulva easily and keep healthy even in the menstruation period"

i think this is the greatest paragraph ive ever read in my life…

  • Do these have 'backflow protection' already included in the product? Could be interesting for your water supply if something goes wrong.

    • It's a toilet seat with a bidet. What you said is invalid.

  • +1

Has anyone bought one of these? Do you need to dry yourself after you have used it?

    • +2

Yes you do. Don't be that lazy!

    • +2

That would be quicker than awaiting evaporation.

    • Some bidets have a dryer included.

    • Could always eat some beans instead.

  • This is not a bargain
It only cost $200 from Xiaomi offical website China

    • +1

      Link please.

        • +1

problem is getting it delivered is going to be a hassle unless you are familiar with how the Taobao system works.
it has to go through a third party for delivery by Air or Sea. i am guessing the cost would be around 50~$100 for the weight and box size.

and warranty may be an issue too

        • +1

@lovepub: postage is around $20. But not sure how long it takes and still do not feel confident buying from taobao. They use Alipay and there is no option for Papal.

        • +1

Lovepub's comment is spot on. Simply finding the best price is not enough, you have to factor in feasibility - it is not easy to purchase from that site.

This deal still stands as a bargain.

  • Is this expired? I can't get free shipping.

  • Received it today. But the installation manual is in chinese. Couldn’t find the english manual online.
