I need a dual USB-C one…all USB-A ports in my chargers have been seldom used

    • Interesting because I actually prefer USB A on the charger side. I find C too flimsy.

USB-A don't support higher PD charging rate

        • +1

It does if this is a Xiaomi device and you have supporting it cable.

          • @Ozzster: It does max out at 22.5 W for the USB A, bit more than Qc3 which is 18 W max.

@ozhunter68: Xiaomi supplies their phones with a very similar charger, however, having one port. It outputs 120W Turbo charge over USB-A. But if you use it with non-Xiaomi device or cable, it gives only 67 watts. I can't be sure that this is exact same charger, but USB-A is definitely capable to do so because Xiaomi added an extra pin for it.

              • @Ozzster: Sure, I have a good grasp and understand most of the varying charging protocols

and different hardware and software tech to support it.

                I have a USB A charger And matching cable that is capable of 100 W +- .

I was referring to this one from the post so people don't mistake or mix up, easily done

as there are so many variations and most people don't get that all 3 (device, cable, charger)

must be same tech and compatible for one to obtain max charging, even then it is capacity,

                time and temperature dependent.

                • @ozhunter68: Yeah, this one is most likely capable of more than 67 with native hardware. Even for just 67 its a very good one awarded by all reviewers.

                  • @Ozzster: If you get the chance to test that out, please let us know here. Would be interesting to know.

                    • @ozhunter68: I think the main question is is it original genuine Xiaomi or not. The item MDY-16-ET should have one port. But if it is still original Xiaomi it must be good.

  • should have waited. this looks like proper Xiaomi, unlike the other big one which comments said has chinese plugs.

bought Anker 65W GaN Nano instead for $39 and used $10 App purchase code so I can’t use it again because single use only. ☹️ https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/875303

Anker has extra USB-C but I didn’t need it, only need one USB-C + USB-A. and Xiaomi does 67W.

  • SimpleCom dual port one that sells for $25 on promotion is fantastic.

    • Looks like rebrand HEYMIX

High wattage charging, heavy use, warm days, 100% charging, large discharge, higher voltage, bells & whistles, etc…kill batteries even with 5000mAh.

Android14, Apps, faster processor are more power hungry than ever.

Warm battery is the trigger for you to investigate ? Starting point, https://batteryuniversity.com/article/bu-808-how-to-prolong-…

ok one reason I am happier about getting the Anker nano GaN.

it’s longer but narrower so it doesn’t block the socket next to it. while the Xiaomi does look shorter but pretty wide it might block the nearby socket. I plan to use it in a power board no problem with it drooping because it’s longer.

67W would be nice it probably means less heat at the same watts but 65W is close enough I guess.

    • I plan to use it in a power board no problem with it drooping because it’s longer.

      should have said:

I plan to use the Anker vertically in a powerboard so no problem with it drooping because it's longer.

also deal expired it's $38 now.

      • third reply to myself but my Anker 65W Nano arrived.

pleasantly surprised it's very premium in plastic and appearance. from the photo that Anker uses on amazon I thought it was going to be a lot more cheapy feeling.

also like that on the box it's called "Powerport III" which I have a single USB-C output version of which was well reviewed by Cactus (when they were around they tested chargers for ozbers). so I have a feeling of confidence using it.

also read some negative comments on a previous deal for the Nano, which said they plugged it in and there was a spark where the plugs are and the charger died? well mine had a spark too when plugging into the powerboard but it works 100% fine.
