Or get it for effectively $15.99* if you purchase 2 other tv shows as part of their "Buy 2 TV shows get 1 free" https://www.jbhifi.com.au/movies-tv-shows/movies-tv-shows-on…

    • 2 other shows will also need to be the same value as this title ($29.98) for maximum saving.
    • +1

Sweet.. I will add this as well in description

    • +1

But the coupon only applies to ONE bluray

      • add another one to get 2 bluray ;)

      • So add 2 more. It works.

        • You can buy 2 and get 1 free.
But the STACK 20% discount only applies to ONE item, not both.

        • @congngo:
Correct. Hence why if you add 2 more Stack coupons, it will cover all 3 items.

        • @theguyrules: Thanks. Didn't realise you could stack the STACK codes.

This seems to be a dupe of https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/354784
although not sure why the other one is currently marked as expired.

BTW, JB also have the 2 for $40 UHD movies with some nice picks at:
    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/movies-tv-shows/movies-tv-shows-on…
Interestingly, if you put two movies in the shopping cart, the price is further reduced to $16 per movie. Then, if you apply two STACK Magazine Signup vouchers, the price will go down to $12.80 per movie. Not bad for some of those $32 movies.

This is one of many regular 20% off sales that have come and gone.

    • I saw that too. it was expired long back on 12 Jan.. I guess offer ended by that time..
This offer came recently on 23rd again https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/357176 . I posted it so everyone will be notified to get one if anyone missed out previous deal.

      • Fair enough.

  • I missed the Stack sign up post.

Going to get the Blade Runner 2049 4K under $24, current 20% bluray deal is $29.58 ends tomorrow, $36.98

    Thank you.

  • who the faq has a UHD player?… i dont understand why they sont release things on SD cards. or USBs

    • +2

I agree, but I guess there may be some HDCP protecting the content.

    • +1

This probably has about 60GB worth of content, so it might be more economical to use disks instead of flash memory.

      • Can we play the files (from the disk) on a computer? What sort of file format is used for UHD?

        • +1

You can play it on a computer but you need a new-ish processor that supports the new type of drm on these disks. You also need an ultra hd bluray drive on your pc as well as software to play the files. I believe the format is proprietary but it's encoded in HEVC.

      • Closer to 100gb but yes exactly.

I have a UHD player. It’s cslled an Xbox One S

      • +1

Or an Xbox One X :)

    • +1

who the faq has a UHD player?

Anyone with an Xbox One S. ;)

    • Is Xbox Box One S has any restriction on region of the disc? I heard that UHD Blurays are region free. But for the normal Blu rays will the Xbox One S only capablel of playing region specific discs?

      • +1

Yep. There are THREE blu ray regions, and where you get your Xbox from will differentiate which region you can access.
4K UHD BDs have no region

    • rofl… cost of 64GB USB stick or card vs. cost of 1 disc. It would cost more than the full retail price of the product.

      • -1

ahhh.. yeah… they would be buying millions in bulk. and alot of the companies that release the s#%ts also make usb sticks anyway. and they would sell millions more if they were on usb sticks/sd cards, so more profit………………………… rofl

        • +1

Buying millions in bulk wouldn't make that much of a difference, as the price of memory is fixed. It costs a certain amount of money to make 64GB of memory, and no amount of bulk buying can reduce that cost. Also, I don't think offering it on that medium would do much to increase sales, since it would cost a lot more than the equivalent disc version.

  • Damn, I just bought this from JB Hifi with the 20% off sale but without stacking for further coupon :(

    • +2

      3 Options I can think of - :)

      1) Buy this one and return previous one if not opened OR
      2) Buy and Return this new one with previous receipt.. OR
      3) Talk to JB Hi-Fi store representative to get this sorted.hope they may be able to suggest.

      • Tempted to do something but then in hindsight the difference over $4 seems not worth the effort.

  • Is there a 1080p version included with this 4K version by any chance?

    • +1

      No, only the UHD.

    • +1

I just checked my case, no there isn't.

  • Bought. I now need to shop for xbox one s :(

  • Bought it during the boxing day 20% off along with my stack code

we have watched the first 3 ep's and it looks fantastic

Waiting for blu planet to drop down in price (I can wait)
