    PRAWNS

    Ha!

    • +6

looks like a crap deal with you look at it, but when you open it, its nice.

      • +8

That's why they use Prawns instead of Crabs…

    • +49

Sorry, don't mean to hijack, but so that everyone can see as this thread is 2 pages long now:

Working Search Link. One of the more painful ones to go through, well over 30 min. So many missing store names on top of 104 id's to go through

      • +14

        Already posted here

        Was painful to go through

        • +10

Sorry my bad, I must've started just as you posted yours as I didn't see it at the time. Good job, I can imagine how tedious it was.

Just one thing tho, with Lifespan Australia I ended up doing this store whereas you decided on this one. I guess we won't really know until the sale starts. EDIT: Actually the store I chose has very few listings, it must be the one you chose.

    • Limit of 3 purchases

  • +5

Never seen eBay deals overlap like this with the same sellers, first choice is back!

    • +16

I've been to the hairdresser twice this week…

      • +2
      • +8

The first time the barber cut my hair too short so the second time ask him to cut it long.

        • +5

I hate it when people say did you get a haircut then I say nuuuh it grew shorter

    • +32

So price jacking within a price jack? #InceptionJacking

      • +24

Should use PRICEJACK as the coupon code to really blow our minds.

        • +4

And then not have any prices jacked up. Woah.

    • Makes you wonder why they don’t just have a site wide sale.

      • +13

        Cause Amazon did not deliver

        • +3

          I think you’re right.

        • +3

          @sillywalks:

Ebay still have the upper hand

They are literally giving Amazon the middle finger

This is a slap to Amazon's face

EBay just kicked Amazon out of the market

          Hash tag familyguy

        • +2

They shoulda brought exec team from US instead of hiring here. I've seen more organization at maccas during work experience week… After a few years, then hand off and start promoting performing locals… shame, super missed op

        • +3

@easternculture: That or amazon is cooking something up and feeBay caught wind of it… That being said, I've never really found Amazon particularly cheap, they have deals but you can usually get them same price elsewhere. They're just a little more convenient, prompt and great customer service especially for orders fulfilled by Amazon.

Ebay is a little different as your experience can vary from seller to seller, some are great and some are just atrocious.

        • @easternculture:

True for now. It’ll be interesting to see in a years time.

      • +4

Because the discount for these sales is shared or largely paid by the sellers involved, whereas site wide are paid for by eBay.

    • +15

Sorry, nobody body share no good deal.

    • +4

I've got a good deal. It's free too. The damn search button.

  • +19

Do we have search link for this pretty please?

    • +22

I was going to say "make your own, you lazy sod" but then remembered time is money and money is money and this is OzBargain.

      Anyone got a search link?

  • -1

    I need Gaming Laptop deal!

    • +83

      Thanks for letting us know.

      • +1

        Such a well used comment

    • +5

If someone creates a global search link you'll be able to search that.

      • -1

Yeah, hoping some legend can create one. And what was so wrong about my comment?

        • +10

That's OzBargain for ya. People get upset when you ask to find a deal rather than searching yourself.

        • +20

@Clear: To be fair, he didn't ask for anything. It was more of an announcement.

        • @sharky_k: That's true. They love to jump the gun.

        • @sharky_k: Exactly. I shouldnt have said anything.

        • +9

          @reservin:
          You live, you learn.

    • +15

And here is your search link

      • Is this for all products on this sale ?

        • Yeah all the products from all the stores. Coupon should work on all.

        • @Clear: oh wow, I see XBox One X in my search results even though MS is not listed as a participating seller !!

    • +3

after fantastic AU Dell's deal (20% off but they've increased the price) I decided to order Dell 7000 gaming laptop from a US seller. It is cheaper for $300, delivery is faster, plus the Dell has a worldwide warranty

      • That sounds like a good way to go especially if the warranty is worldwide. Does that mean you could return to a local dell AU shop for warranty instead of posting? Do you mind if I ask where you purchased it? Thanks

        • your could apply for a warranty to dell au, doesn't meter where it was purchased

unfortunately, the seller already sold all his stocks
          http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/DELL-INSPIRON-7567-GAMING-LAPTOP-…
          try to contact him

ps just keep in mind that an order should be less than 1k aud in total, otherwise you will have to pay some additional customs fees and tax

  • +2

    I love prawns.

  • +3

Remember someone posting PRAWNS about a month ago - took there time getting it going

  • +4

I came here just for the price jacking comments :O

    • +4

i came here for the "amazon something something" comments

    • +1

I came here for the comments about the price jacking comments.

And the Amazon was a flop comments..

  • +3

I know it's a meme now but expect price hikes. The last 20% sale suffered pretty shamelessly from it.

    • +6

They overlap the sales to save them having to price jack again.

Petbarn had 30% off on their website this week

  • +6

    May the price jacking begin

    Amen

  • +3

    PRAWNS is better than CRABS

    • LOBSTER should attract a higher discount

      • +5

LOBSTER is advanced CRAB so may require stronger medication

  • More price jacking.

  • +10

    RIP Computer Alliance

    • What makes you say that? Have their prices increased or are you guessing they’ll have a lot of orders to fulfil (due to bargains)?

      • +12

They aren't on this list for the eBay sale, they have fast quick delivery and hardly price jack. The reason why I and others like them.

        • -6

Yeah, bought some WD Reds from them. Austin Computers are also good in terms of prices and not price jacking. Compared to something like a Futu, which basically has shit prices and price jacking.

        • +1

@no not me: I bought from Austin in a previous sale, but the items I looked at for this one they jacked by ~20%.

        • +1

          [@no not me](/comment/5544161/re the dir):

I feel the other way, if a company can afford the cut in margin to support this sort of deal then maybe you're paying too much anyway. Perhaps some of these companies raise their prices because they already operate on smaller margins and can't afford the loss? It's merely an assumption without the supporting figures to suggest that they are taking advantage of the sale and raising their prices.

        • +1

@no not me: Austin jacked on current 20% off sale.

        • +1

@no not me: Austin definitely jacked this last sale.

        • +3

          @tromboc:

If they can't afford it, then why join the list of sellers?

        • +2

Computer Alliance commented on the previous deal why they were sitting these out https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/5522384/redir

        • +1

          @djkelly69:
Austin is dodgy. They price jack like crazy.

        • @tromboc: I thought eBay also loses a part of their cut? Whichever way, many stores often raise prices by more than 20%. If we imagine that eBay loses a 5% portion, this is even worse.

    • +8

First company I checked was Computer Alliance as well..

    • +1

Been eyeing this laptop and without discount they are the cheapest.

All the other stores that have included have jacked their prices up :(

Would be great if Computer Alliance is included and without the price jack…..

  • +34

Please don't post deals too early. #hashtag price-jack, fake deals etc.

Wait until after midnight (of the day of deal going live) if you want to post, as that lessens the chances of the deal becoming "unobtainable" when the seller suddenly removes the inventory or updates the pricing tomorrow.

edit: We (mods) also coming up with new guidelines for future ebay posts (for deals that begin in the future), this should prevent some disappointment associated with people wasting time checking in for deals that they cannot obtain.

    • +22

Also it tips sellers off to the true bargains

      • +14

It's voluntary, no one is forcing companies with razor thin margins to participate in this sale…

        • -5

          That is literally my point.

Edit for clarity: people are bitching about businesses opting out by removing items from sale or increasing prices. They are entirely entitled to do this.
