LG G6 (H870DS, Dual Sim Model, 64GB/4GB) Australian Stock $571.19 Free Shipping @ Allphones Online eBay

110
PCTECH

After looking at the original PCTECH 20% off deal and looking for a phone myself, I saw the H870K (32GB single SIM version) on sale, but there were a few comments on this deal from people looking for the 64GB version.

And then I found a deal for the 64GB version, and due to the timing, can confirm the price hasn't risen after the coupon became active.
The sale also states it's Australian stock complete with 24 month warranty. Booyah.

Without doing a lot of research, there probably aren't many current flagship phones around with external storage and a proper headphone port.

Personally I am leaning towards the 32GB as I don't need dual SIM and with the ability to pop in an external SD card, I don't need the extra space, but some people might like this.

AHHH I CANNOT DECIDE WHAT PHONE TO BUY

    • AHHHHHH Me too! God Damn it! I think I'm leaning towards neither and waiting till the DS model drops closer to $500

Its the DAC that sways me towards this one. I listen to music every day on the phone, and apparently its quite a good feature.

      • I don't think that prices will drop below 550 before LG launches the G7. it has been around 550+ from a long time and might remain the same.

The one imported from HK had gone down to $480ish before if you dont mind imported stock.

          @hpkv:

I am using an imported 6S currently and suffering big time as the parts used are not original as confirmed by Apple after recent updates:(

        • @csrnomercy: Really? So your saying that Apple use non-genuine parts in other markets? I fund this hard to believe.

@hpkv: I would definitely buy if that deal came around again.

        • @datzed:

I was surprised too. Apple 6 series and older phones started having issues like lag/crash/battery drain etc. Apple released a statement saying that if your phone is having crash issues then your phone does not have original apple parts.

    • better hurry or they'll all be gone!

I decided the LG g6 32GB. It's cheap, can use the money for something else. Plus the shipping is faster than the ones from Asia. Also it has a better screen:body ratio than the Nokia 8 or the Pixel. I wanted a Pixel (1) 32gb but no express shipping. The Pixel 2 just really doesn't do it for me with massive bezels, no headphone jack and not that great battery, just doesn't justify the extra money. The Nokia 8 looks good but it's bigger. And The Samsung S8 is probably the best size & features but I really don't like the wrapping glass that leads to accidental presses. Good luck!

    • depends on budget and importance of features , if it’s getting oreo as an OS you need newest model as grey get u
graded first. if it’s used outside in the sun a lot, screen technology might be a driver so screen is easier to read.

i never worry about CPU, as they all seem fast in real life.

i have an LG v20 and my son is about to get the zte axon 7 we got at office works …….

  • I bought this H870DS version 5 mins back :) I was confused between the 32 n 64 variants but I went with 64 becz if I plan to resell in future then I should attract more buyers.

No Root on this either :(

    • What does this mean though?

You cannot unlock phones full potential and flash custom roms amongst other things..

        • So only really relevant for developers?

          @datzed: Not at all.

Is this the Quad DAC model?

    • H870DS is Quad DAC model (64gb)
H870K does not have Quad DAC (32gb)

  • Could also get an imported LG G6 H870DS from Amaysim ebay here: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LG-G6-in-Black-Gold-Platinum-Whi… for $524. Comes with a 2 year locally serviced Australian warranty.

    • Can you or anyone elaborate on local warranty for an imported phone? Is the warranty via Amaysim and not LG?

Because the H870DS at $524 is the best deal so far.

      • Wonder if LG would honor the warranty if you buy it from Amaysim or you go through Amaysim to fix it?

      • +1

you have to contact Amaysim for warranty issues. Read the fine print carefully when it comes to warranty terms like under:

"You may return or exchange items that are less than 30 days old for a partial refund of the item value. The items must be in good condition (condition to be determined at the sole discretion of amaysim) and the exchange will incur a minimum 20% restocking fee per item. You are required to obtain an RMA code from the amaysim customer service team prior to returning the item. Refund and exchange values will be processed and credited once the item has been received and assessed by an amaysim representative. All open box items are assessed based on the following guidelines. Please note that the values described are offered as a minimum diminished value and will be affected by the condition of the item and its packaging:

The value of the item is assessed as being the complete value with the following values subtracted if they have occurred:

20% restocking fee is subtracted from the purchase value in all cases. The original shipping costs are not included in the purchase value of the item and are not refundable.
5% of the value is deducted if the manufacturers screen guard has been removed. This is a plastic film that is adhered to the screen for shipping damage protection.
10% of the value is deducted if the battery or accessories have been opened and removed from the individual original packaging and ties"

    • Hm the amaysim ebay listing says it/s 4g/3g + 2g only as opposed to the allphones dual 4g/3g?

What about the LG G6 Plus? Does it come with the DAC?

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LG-G6-Plus-in-Black-Marine-Blue-…

(Don't really care about Dual Sim)

  • LG G6 H870DS comes with Duel sims slots?

  • I can claim TRS on this right? Going overseas in about 3 months.

    • Yes you can claim TRS on this

  • The Specs are better on the dual sim version. But the single sims get the updates a lot faster than the dual sims. I had the H870DS and was months behind in security updates of the single sims. It may have gotten better, but it was pretty ordinary when i had it. Phone itself was great. But security updates mean more to me.

  • mobileciti has the LG G6 H870DS at AU$655.80 but allphones_online have it at AU$713.99 and these two are pretty much the same company?

I guess I wait further until a good deal comes on this phone :(
