SPAM. Waste of a post. Not that cheap. No original price or evidence of that. Is the suggestion this cruise originally cost $10k for 12 days?

You get a tv and toiletries

      • You would want to be bathing in Chanel No 5 each night.

    • Booking cruises are kind of like buying cookware, RRPs are always overpriced and no one ever pays that, 50% to 80% discount is usually the 'normal price'. Basically I go by the rule of $120 or under per day per person for a balcony cabin for what I consider to be a real deal (obviously this depends on the cruise line and where it sails to as well).

Holland America cruises are usually $200 a night even for interior. So for a Holland America cruise it is a deal, but you can get a much better deal on other cruiselines.

  • Never been on a Holland America ship, how does it compare to Royal Caribbean?

      • Holland America is one of the higher quality megaship cruiselines, but one of the most expensive as well. The service and food (even in the buffet) is great, however it resembles a floating nursing home due to the age of the cruisers (the Holland America cruise I went on the average age was 67). At least the disco is almost empty by 9pm, except on 'grab a granny night (my term, not theirs)', and you can always beat the infirmed with their walker wheelies to the buffet.

Please post some Royal caribbean deals! 😀

  • Cheaper on cruise1st website ($1554.40)

Booked my first cruise last year with the above company. If you call them when you book and enquire about onboard credit you might get some. I got $100USD to spend onboard per room and we had 3 rooms so got $300

Edit *lost $300 (in the casino ;)
