Soon to be half of the complete saga! :D

    • +2

Well 2/3. Rian's trilogy is unrelated.

      • Touché

  • Hmmm… I wonder who profits from this, Rupert or Walt?

  • +4

I hear there are micro transactions involved to unlock all video content.

    • +3

You have to watch the movies over and over for 40 hours to unlock the Darth Vader scenes. But it gives you a sense of satisfaction. That's what counts.

      • What if I spin in my chair for 40hours doing something else?
I should be able to collect the same reward as the people watching it yes?

        • +1

You'll get the reward, but not the satisfaction. Also spinning chair is only available via loot box.

Same price at JB Hifi (was even cheaper a week ago with the 20% off)

So much for amazon being cheaper than existing stores.

      • +1

I don't think movies, tv shows etc will ever be much cheaper thanks to the distributors and production house region licencing agreements. It'll be a cold day in hell before those will ever change.

      • That's the old release of the complete saga . I have it here which i bought years ago.

    • +2

it's back to 20% off at JB Hifi :D price is down to $63.98

      • +1

60.78 if you sign up for instant deals emails and get the additional 5% off code

  • Disappointed. Amazon is disappointing

  • plus extra features.

    The Christmas Special?

    And who shoots first?

  • +2

For those interested, someone has gone through the process of despecialising the original trilogy to match the original release as close as possible.

    • Here’s hoping

      • What do you mean? Go have a look they're a few years old now.

        • I know there’s fan made versions. I’m waiting for an official release

  • I know it's because it's Star Wars and it's 6 movies but still really feels overpriced at $80.

  • +1

I didn't mind when I paid like 50 odd for the big box way back when Disney didn't even own Lucasfilm, but it's honestly quite a (profanity) off that they re-released it and still labelled it "The Complete Saga" like no dude, y'all had already announced Ep 7 when this revision came out. Same discs and everything, but you made a brand new case with a lie on it. Why not just call it "The Story So Far" or something, I don't know, I don't work in marketing, point is, "The Complete Saga" is a lie and a stupid one at that.

  • $80 for three terrible movies, and three butchered ones? No thank you. I'll wait until The Mouse buys out Uncle Rupert and releases the only three Star Wars films ever made in their original, unaltered form.

  • +1

Do they contain the original cuts and special edition cuts? Before George Lucas put Hayden Christensen in ROTJ in the DVD, and then screwed with the color palette in the blu-ray.

Some of the changes he made were cringeworthy.

  • The people who may have ordered this from Amazon AU the other day for $80 unfortunately got ripped off. This is $63.98 delivered today from Amazon AU. They obviously matched the JB Hi-Fi price.

Sorry to say OP. You paid a bit much.
