As expected, Officeworks have dropped prices to match with Harvey Norman and Big W iPad sales.
IMO, great upgrade if you have anything older than an iPad Air

The screen isn't the greatest not being laminated but at this entry level $400 price point, it's easily the best time to upgrade or even get your first iPad. It's fast, well built, has old iPad Air shape and dimensions means it fits old cases too and Touch ID is solid. I thought it could be a waste of money to upgrade my Air to this model but it was well worth it.
these were made for kids who youtube all day with no worry about screen
you having a go at my Ipad2's ?
Better if the storage capacity is included in the title
Oops. Updated. Thanks
i have ipad air, so maybe i will wait for 2018 2019 model. lol. very hard to find enough reasons to upgrade.
Maybe, I don't believe tablets are doing that well, hence why Apple offer this model now. Maybe by 2018-2019 they won't just bother? I guess Apple will still be around, but it seems Android offerings have turned to chromebooks.
if you have the ipad air 2 model, I'd keep until they Apple starts using OLED by Samsung
I have the first gen iPad from years ago…will this be much of an improvement if i only use it for browsing and simple games ocassionally?
The screen resolution alone would make the upgrade worthwhile imo. I recently picked up a first-gen iPad to test something in my office and it was borderline unusable compared to current technology.
That said, if you're content now then there's no reason to burn money.
It still works fine, just noticed that loading pages is getting slower and slower in both Safari and Chrome.
Yeah it gets worse and worse over time. You'll likely find (if you haven't already) that apps will no longer update for you since you're restricted by which version of iOS you can run. The 2017 iPad is drastically better, just hard to say how much you'll get out of it if you don't use it a lot :)
Do you think that Myer will reduce their price soon?
I just traveled to the future, and Myer does reduce their price. Unfortunately, due to the risk of creating a tear in the space/time continuum, I did not take a screenshot and am therefore unable to post the deal on ozbargain, but rest assured it will be at least $396.
Try harder next time mate~ Ozbargainers are not that easy to be amused by the story :)
I askyl that question because right now Woolworths is selling Myer cards with approx 20% discount
You could try their competitive pricing policy to price match - https://www.myer.com.au/p/customer-service/competitive-priciā¦ and then use the cards to pay.
Not a bad price but these are by far the worst quality Apple device I've ever used, the screen feels like something made by ZTE in 2008
