hahahaha… I was just going to ask the same question.
Can't believe there's any carbon fibre in these things
Not for that price.
Although my mousepad and coffee coaster is carbon fibre lol
@airzone: Pay a lot for those or do you just work in a place that deals in CF stuff and have off-cuts? I thought that stuff was exxy as hell.
very misleading
@0blivion: Second. The mouse pad, including processing, is probably $1k in cost. But it could hold my weight, and weighs about the same as my Performance MX mouse. Any genuine CF that serves only a cosmetic role will be the cheapest material, and only a single ply on plastic backing (like the coffee coaster - we made a few hundred for promo handouts).
@airzone: I now have a very irrational desire for a CF mouse pad….. (is it even a good material for that? in terms of grip, tracking, smoothness etc?)
@0blivion: It's the best I have ever used… And I've used glass, polished wood, various cloth / foam things, trouser legs, etc.
The mouse glides nicely. I actually use the "rough side" (i.e. textured from the venting material between the CF and the vacuum bag), but other colleagues prefer the "tool side" (i.e. against the mould). Ball mice probably wouldn't go that well, but optical mice work just fine.
That said, it's an off-cut from product we make.. If you found a mob making CF mouse pads, it's very unlikely they'd be using the material and processes we use, so the result will probably be quite different.
any idea on its weight, or customer reviews?
It has to be weather light if it is Carbon Fibre :P
Its as much lighter from the carbon fibre as red flames make your Ferrari go faster.
I got one from their last sale, probably the lightest case you will find. Quality is great as well, I would recommend
Bought one for my iPhone 7 cause i need a new case, but mostly out of curiosity. Seller accepts Paypal so it was worth a try.
If anyone is interested in these, I'm actually pretty happy with it. For < $4 its a bargain.
It's just a standard TPU case with a carbon fibre texture on the back for grip. No surprises there. But it's quite stiff rubber, so not like the super bendy cheap TPU cases, but still flexible enough and snug enough to fit the phone well.
Would definitely buy again.
you sure it's not CF pattern skinned TPU case ?
