Not always. Few years back I got twin lens olympus omd camera from teds during this same 13th promo. I checked every where and they were the cheapest before discount. Yes I compared with grey importer too (plus shipping fee when applicable)
Then I went overseas and get further gst back.And anyone remember the pentax q deal from teds? That time it was the cheapest in the world, cheaper than in Japan, Amazon, ebay, hongkong stores etc.

Agreed. I think the OP needs to change this posting - it is only Nikon camera gear and some accessories, with some exclusions. No Canon, Sony, Fuji or any other camera brand as far as I can tell. Previous Friday 13th Teds deals have been storewide, but not this one.
How is Ted's with price matching, and anyone reckon they would stack this discount along with the price match?

Nikon Broadway have it for 5199 so asked Ted's for a price match as their website shows in stock.Got an all back saying they can't match it.

Basically any special orders, backorders special items they won't price match on. Plus they don't have the 850 in stock.Run of the mill stuff or something that's readily available they will.

They don't always price match - only if their price is already quite close.
In May I called them about matching a 10% off sale on a Canon 100-400L ii ($2420) plus Canon M5 + 18-150EFM ($1790) at DigiDirect, and they said that could not match either price, and in fact, the "price match" they gave for the big zoom was only $4 less than the advertised price on the Canon website at the time ($2695) which was only $100 less than their full price RRP at Teds, so pretty poor really.
I also asked them last year to match a TGG price on a Lenspen, so only asking for 4% off their Teds price, and the refused.
Ted's so called "price matching" is a joke. Even if you're trying to match another aus stock product. Don't even bother.
idk. When the GH5 came out, a VIC store price-matched a QLD independant camera store for the GH5 camera body.
Was looking for ex-display or used Leica M240, hope they can do 13% off. Anyone knows?
Unfortunately with Ted's pricing you'd need a 30% off sale to find a potential 'bargain'.
