I think landlord insurance would be the better option…
Securing it from what? You should only care about the building, the contents are theirs. Unless El Gato can provide hurricane protection, I suggest you mind your own business.
they can easily un-mount the small piece from the door/window and keep it attached to the main unit even with the door/window open
Inaccurate according reviews.
Nearly purchased however after looking at my 'smart' products and figuring that I've been an early adopter (lifx gen1, xiaomi bulbs/led strip, logitech harmony remote) - none are apple homekit enabled and thus have no functionality with this sensor :(
Openhab is your friend
Install homebridge and turn all those non-HomeKit things into HomeKit things.

Yup. Especially when it’s the kids opening n closing the garage . Yea I have Apple tv
Works well as a HomeKit trigger. Open door and HomeKit turns on the lights, that kind of thing.
Could these be installed on an investment property just to make sure tenants are securing the property?
