I'm going to one up this shop and offer a 90% discount instead.

But I won't say how much my actual prices are :P

    contact me on 1800 STINGY (1800 784 649)

Talk about competition aye. I will fix your comp for free and give you $20 back. Please call 13 STUPID to receive this offer. Extra parts such as me screwing up your motherboard and then replacing it additional.

  • So you're linking to a voucher for 20% discount on services …
You're only providing here a code for 10% discount only

and, the bit that goes against the nature of this community, you want people to click through that link, to another link to find where the services are and try to workout which of your service packages they want …

(I found the service package listing counter intuitive. I understand listing by Office/Home, Onsite/Offsite but then listing by price rather than service required …? )

    • I am going to vote negative. As foundit has said, the voucher linked is actually 20% off. Also, I expect more info from reps.

      • -1

        Hi there,

You haven't used our services, and no one has refused the voucher, how can you justify the negative vote? Link is actually 10% updated yesterday, originally it was 20% but has been updated to reflect new price changes.

        • +2

So when it was 20% off, you didn't post it here. And now that's 10% off, you post it. ???!?!. Why has the discount been lowered?

  • -1

Above comments are quite negative. You are really going to receive 10% off of normal service charges. Standard Service fees are on the website and not made up. Here is a copy paste:

Format your price list properly! It's just 1 long list and it's confusing! And the prices don't look competitive at all.

    • Wow you charge $44 dollars to plug cables in? That's bloody daylight robbery! I really don't see how someone could charge that amount that probably takes 2 minutes!
Virus or spyware removal - get a second HDD + install windows on that, buy antivirus and antispyware, get an enclosure and salvage the data you need. Seriously, you also get to use your old hard drive as an external HDD.
      Daylight robbery!
10% off daylight robbery = still daylight robbery!
Just incase you didn't notice, O.P. Most of us aren't IT illiterate, most users here also use Whirlpool.

Yes, I am voting this a neg, as the post is SPAM-style. Or is it really just a SPAM? (i.e. Ads without actual bargain)

Like others have said above, without actual price, discount % means nothing, zilch, zero.
Plus, link directly to your bloody website! Don't over-complicate things.

    EDIT:
Like the mods said, provide one or two example of your most competitive price in the post (and title). Then let the community judge.

Oh, and BTW, read the posting guidelines, will you?!! (especially considering you've been here for a couple of month)

    Voting Negative.

I don't see this as a bargain, and it is definitely not one tailored towards most of the people on this website.
You're essentially charging $100 for things that people here know how to do and do most of the time.

Put that pricing info in the description too.

  • Thanks everyone for your feedbacks.

First post of coupon and it went terribly wrong.

Expect a new coupon on Monday that is really a true bargain.

Thanks and sorry about this mess.

    Regards,
    Serkan

Now that you have finally posted your prices they seem quite expensive.

I charge $60 an hour and the going rate in my area is around $80 an hour.

You charge $110 for 1 hour of work.

If you come back with a 50% off voucher I will positive vote.

Horrible prices for services. I get paid $20/hour to do all that at work.

    • -1

Why are you under selling your services? I'm sure customers will pay for higher price when they are receiving high quality work and labour. My customers don't have problem for such fees. It helps reduce unnecessary stress and keeps you motivated.

      • +1

There are always people paying higher prices. Because they don't do their research and end up getting ripped off!

      • +2

        "underselling your services"

R u kidding me. You are charging like $125/hour and you call that undercharging. My doctore charges me $37 through medicare for a 15 min consultion.

        What r u a doctor?

1800computers: I understand that you're trying to promote your business, and thinking it might be a good idea to dabble in "social media", but you have to understand that antagonising your audience by disagreeing with them is not going to win you any friends - especially not around here, where the bargain hunters can be quite savage.

I strongly suggest that you take onboard the comments here with grace, ignore the ones that you disagree with, and look at your site metrics to see whether your actions here have actually delivered a net benefit to your business.

    Best of luck.

  • -> zzyss and rack

I think 1800 is suggesting ronnknee could make more money doing the same job elsewhere or direct

If ronnknee can get the client base, handle marketing etc

    • Sorry mod but i think he is referring to samfisher5986 asking him to charge more for his services becuase he only charges $60/hr

      • Ah yeah, sorry, it isn't clear.
