      After DJ cancelled my order (only after Shaver Shop sold out), I've now ordered from Amazon.de for ~$172.
      My previous experience has been lightning fast delivery (faster than getting things send from Sydney ;), so I'm not too upset. Stuff you DJ!!!!!!!!

    How does this compare the Philips Sonicare DiamondClean? Does this vibrate or does it spin? I find the Philips awesome, and the vibrate seems like a better way to go compared to the spinning one I had as a child. This would make a good present if it's comparable to the Philips.

    So how does this stack against the rest of the Oral B line? I'm guess this is meant to be their second best offering after the 9000 series?

      Correct. The sticks are identical on both models. The difference is the 9000 comes with a "smart travel case" (allows charging via USB) whereas the 8000 comes with a "premium travel case" (basically just a plastic case). It's a good toothbrush but as many people have said a lot of the extra features are completely unnecessary.

      I ordered 21:15 last night before going to bed. This morning, I found e-mail sent @ 00:28 AM with Order Confirmation and Tax Invoice.
      I used PayPal and chose C&C. Still waiting for ready to pickup e-mail or call from store.

      Hoping they don't stuff me around as I wouldn't mind buying from Shaver Shop eBay deal while it's still in stock. Last thing I would want is to be told late by DJ that they have none left and Shave Shop sells out by that time.
