How do u know it's A380, it doesn't say anything it the website? And only Sydney - Auckland? No Melbourne - Auckland?

Emirates knows you guys are suckers for the A380, so they even tell you when they are scheduled. And then charge you more. ;)
All SYD-AKL flights are A380s. And its all about demand, SYD-AKL route is a way busier route than the other ones, just see how many Qantas MEL-AKL flights compared to SYD-AKL flights.

The rest from MEL/BNE or flights to CHC are on a 777-300 with a 3-4-3 seat configuration (the standard is 3-3-3 or 2-5-2, so you do the math)

Recently through JetStar, i was able to get return flights from Sydney - Christchurch for $249pp. Just to give you a comparison. I understand that emirates have: a) included entertainment; b) meals; c) flights that leave on time and dont get cancelled; d) much more room…. but if you can deal with all that, then maybe Jetstar is a better option for the money concious…

Give this a big thumbs up for timing. Have to go to Auckland for a conference in November. Flying out of Melbourne with the family. Couldn't find anything much cheaper (maybe $100 or so for for 4 tickets) but that is for budget flights.
