  • Not sure why anybody would want 2 copies of newspaper on the same day, even if they're different.

"Weirdest offer yet from Flybuys. This could be targeted."

Yep who reads actual newspapers these days?

    • I subscribed to Time Magazine at the beginning of the year as I had a bunch of Thai Airways miles that we're going to expire and it's about the only thing you can from outside Thailand. I now have a pile of Time magazines in the plastic sitting on my desk. The only copy opened was a Game of Thrones issue opened by my wife.

I used to read it when flying… but these days it's redundant - I get all the "news" I can handle online.

Even when I have the chance to read a daily newspaper I rarely do… much rather read news online from variety of sources.

Err..me. Have them home delivered on weekends only now as cancelled weekly delivery a few years ago with all the news apps, there is no need but if your not aware of the joy of the weekend papers then try it. You'll be surprised at what a relaxing pleasure it is to sip your fresh espresso with toast and vegemite on a Sat morning with the SMH/Age/The Australian spread across the table.

Edt: The Australian you might question but it has a consistently excellent magazine and arts&literature&food/wine section and of course you need to know what the right side of politics is doing and thinking if your going to hold any sensible argument. Know thy enemy it's called I think.

The biggest problem here is not that you have to buy two newspapers, but that they're News Corp.

Reading the offer wording, I can't see where it days you have to buy them at the same time. It would make sense if you bought two papers during the offer period.

    • In order to be certain, you could purchase 2 of the same at the same time, swipe your card, then return 1 copy at the counter for a cash refund!

      • Wow… I don't think I can bring myself to do that. Would I need to hand over my OzB badge?

        • Start with you balls? I don't see what the problem is with changing your mind…and I can hardly see the droids who work the counter at Coles really caring, not that you should GAF about what they think.
