Even thought they are bit expensive than budget airlines. I love their service . So it’s a good deal

    • We considered using budget airlines, but the choice of destinations was too limited (i.e. only London on AirAsiaX).

A cheaper option than this sale price is to fly a budget airline to Singapore (i.e. Tiger for about $300 return) and then continue on with Emirates to Europe for about $1100 return. That would have been a $400 saving, but it would have:
      * doubled the time in transit with something like 20+ hours in Singapore each way and a second stop in Dubai
      * two red-eye flights each way (and I don't sleep much on planes)
      * the risk if one airline changes/cancels/delays you are stuck to pay the other guys to change their bit too

My only worry is that Emirates will beat the offer and come out with an even better deal ex Australia in a few days…

I would never book Tiger before a long haul flight!

it's a great deal and Singapore Airlines is by far the best in economy. we booked Melbourne to Paris this morning for Aug 11. By comparison, Qantas is sitting at $2700k return.

      Eek, Qantas is charging $2 700 000 ? ;)

      • ha ha , you probably can do several trips on Virgin Galatic spacecraft with that money !!

      • I just don't understand why, oh why do we put up with raw deals from the home-grown companies like Qantas and Telstra when other nations don't?

  • i love their hostesses in business class.

    Very attractive, very attentive….

Qantas has 30-50 year olds, half men

Singapore has 23-30 year olds, all women, all 8+….

i can see where you standard lays…

    • With wife and 2 kids … who is flying business ??

  • OMG just what we needed thanks so much guys :)

  • Do you think I can book a First class Suite, and fit the whole family in. I am sure it still would be more comfortable the cattle-class.

  • I think they are trying to cash in on the high A$!!!

  • Wheres the link to earlybird flights to Japan, as refered to in OP?
