FREE436

Rent any DVD free with this code, any day of the week. I have a couple of Oovie accounts, and got emailed the same codes twice so you should be able to use these on any account.

Also available is 2 for 1 (R1G1337) and $1 off any movie (BUCK561).

I just checked and I was sent these same codes too.

Mind you, I have never paid for an Ooovie DVD Rental. Your first rental is free with promo code "FREE123" or something similar. I have 7 credit/debit cards and 4 Oovie machines within walking distance from my house, therefore that's up to 28 movies I can rent for free as long as I return them the following day!

    • The offer is only valid until the 24th September! You'd have to watch four movies per day!!! :P

Edit: unless you were to violate copyright and rip them!

      • The promo code "free123" has no expiry - it is printed on the machine. That is separate to these coupons.

The code is "DVD123" , not free123 (if i am correct)

          • @amkssg: Ahh that's it, you're right!

@powerhammer: I am pretty sure the code is no longer valid. Tried it out today and it said expired/invalid

              • @amkssg: Yes, I tried both dvd123 & free123, didn't work. I just forgot to use the code posted by OP… lol

MUST HAVE A CREDIT CARD TO USE!

Oovie needs a credit card to actually issue a DVD to you.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say: dah…
Sure, we'll give you a $30 DVD for nothing, no collateral needed…

      • Correct.

Not everyone has a MC/VS card.

    • nope, MasterCard or Visa Debit cards will do.

I mean, most ATM card issued are MasterCard or Visa Debit cards anyway.

        Debit cards anyway.

        No, they're not.

Most are simple EFTPOS cards only.

St George is the only one that issues MC/VS Debit Cards, by default, for all accounts.

All the others require a special account to be opened.

nah bro is it orright if i leave my library card as collateral n dat aye. faaaaaaaaaaark

  • Why they have "Rent $1.00 off" offer as long as they have "Free" one???

    • The terms mention one per customer so i imagine they can only be used once unless you have more credit cards.

  • Do OOVIE stock bluray movies>

    • Haven't seen any in the machines.

    My thoughts about Oovie:

    1. I seriously wonder how they make money. I keep taking a free DVD rental from their machine every Wednesday. But they are backed by Hoyts.

    2. It does reflect how little rental DVDs are worth these days. I love DVD, but I have to watch “big movies” on Blu-Ray now. On non-Wednesdays, Oovie does DVD rentals for $2 overnight. Redroomdvd has $3 for 6 hour rentals, and $5 (?) for overnight rentals—just doesn’t cut it. Both charge the same for new release & weeklies.

Caveat: only for people who live close to one of these machines.

  • I'm a member of Oovie and haven't received this email as yet, thanks for sharing!

    • Yeah i did not receive the email either!

  • I just went to one and can't work out where to put the promo code, as soon as you pick a movie it asks you to swipe your card?

    • +2

after you pick your movie, it will ask you to swipe your card.
      DO NOT SWIPE YOUR CARD.
on the same screen, below the total amount due, there is a button labeled "Promo Code". Click it, and it's self explanatory.

  • thanks man. free movie code worked beautifully.

  • Hi all
I hav checked oOvie site but there is no button to sign in or become a member. Pls can any one let me know how to be a member on movie site.
    Thanks

    • Way this works:
you can't become a member online.
Go to a oovie machine and borrow a movie.

      Then to log-in online,
User Name: the email address you keyed into the oovie machine
Password: the last 4 digits of the credit card you used.

  • Thanks bsmksg
