The breast can be dry, however is a good feed. The leg is usually moist but smaller portion.
If you get them while they are busy, the chicken is rarely dry, come in just after the rush and oh well.
ew, hate dry chicken breast. Might as well get ones from coles. I dont see why red rooster wouldnt up their game. Probably coz its made in australia.
You don't get chips with Coles, but the bag helps keep the juices in.
But just like red rooster they can also be occasionally dry.
Always need to check the time on the bag as they can hang around for hours.
This used to be $2 at my primary school when I was in year 3 (about 25 years ago)
but what's shocking is that is a meal when I was a kid so don't know how they expect adults to be full by it or even semi full.

Not if you worked for the company and had to put up with people who bought nothing else but a few dozen $2 chicken and chips on Monday and Tuesday and wanted all of them to be the breast part.
Freaking hated working Monday and Tuesday because of that promo, and it ran for years.

i remember when i first tried rr is when the price was $3.45 for qtr chick and chips. You had to wait for about 10 to 15min as it was done fresh. Chkn was so juicy and tender. I had one just recently bcos of a $5 sign up vouncher. The chkn must have been sitting there for too long as it was so dry even as a diehard ozbargainer i couldnt continue eating it. so unless free feed, iwouldnt waste my money there.

Used to have a Red Rooster near my place several years ago but it closed. Now the nearest stores are just over an hour and 41km from here in Sydney. Don't know if the taste is still the same?
