id much rather my sony vaio, it only does "everything"

    • +1

Me too. For 395 a vaio would be sweet

    • infernal wrote>id much rather my sony vaio
WOW… where can my mother buy me a new Vaio for $395?

This is a good deal for the money. Ideal for someone wanting to buy a notebook for basic purposes.

If your going to copy my words, please don't state the obvious and associate myself with your loaded comment, I don't have the patience that I'm sure your mother has for you and your shortcomings :)

  • Oh well at least it computes I guess.

  • You need to mention shipping in the title. You say "FREE DELIVERY ANYWHERE IN AUSTRALIA IF THIS ITEM IS BOUGHT OUT" but as this part of the deal is not active, you need to include the shipping costs

  • Ebay?
30 Day Warranty then manufacturers Warranty
Will the Warranty be honoured if bought through an online auction ??

    • Don't know, but that would be my concern. As it is a buy it now and not an auction you should have statutory rights.

Unless they are a registered business and provide you with a receipt with their ABN I would not be convinced about the manufacturers warranty being valid, and even if they do provide it I would have my fingers crossed.

      • " As it is a buy it now and not an auction you should have statutory rights"

Not sure about this - I think the law sees ebay transactions more as a trading post type transaction, ie. consumer to consumer transactions, to which the trade practices act does not apply. You're right about the part where if they're a business, the law does apply though.

        • You could be right, not to sure. According to the NSW Fair trading buy it now is not an auction. You would assume if they are a registered business authorised to sell goods you would have some/all statutory rights - just like buying online.

However what your rights are (confusing enough) and enforcing these rights (could be very difficult) - means no ebay for me for certain goods.

  • 'Microsoft Windows Home Premium COA License with Media' and '•No Recovery disks included (Recovery is built-in'

How can it come with Media, but no recovery disks? Contradict much? :)

What OS does this come with?? Is it Vista, or 7. Either way its going to suck with 1GB RAM. No camera is a - for this too.

    • comes with a partition on the hdd that has all the stuff needed to reformat and reinstall. so you lose about 10gig of hdd space

      • Im using one of these machine as I type this and they do come with recovery discs, so unsure why these dont. Same model so makes you wonder. Either way they are agreat macghine for the price, I paid nothing for mine its a work machine but they paid 4 times that price

    • It might be the old "hidden in a secret partition" trick

  • So does this mean we now list all the bargains we find on ebay?
The Laptop/notebook an old model (almost 2 years I believe)
slow old Athlon2x processor, DDR2 ram.

not sure why you'd bother, unless you want a tech paperweight

  • dont think this should be on ozbargain…

  • Well its a buy now not an auction so I will give it the ok. As for warranty. If its from a registered business then you have the right to get an official tax receipt. This should be ok to cover warranty. Although these days the specs of this notebook aren't thar great. Also the web site for this business listing is not working.

  • ATI Radeon™ HD 3200 Graphic-never heard of this gpu, any good? how old does the game need to be to get ok fps?

    • It's the motherboard version of the HD2400/HD3400 series.

  • great notebooks and awesome for the price, my work gave me one as a work machine and its been great, no issues from day one, our entire fleet are these machines and in the past 18 months I havent had one fail, I have the 6730 and 6735 model and they are solid. Ours all came with recovery discs, even the most recent bought about 2 months ago. They run with Windows 7 64 bit as mine is, just instaleld Windows on it and no drivers required and its running rock solid for months. I can Skype, surf and use office etc all without an issue. I have run Photoshop on it before and it was pretty decent.

    Hope that helps
