  • pretty good deal i think, basically extra $100 freedom spend credit for joining member.

  • Anyone know how long it takes for the $100 credit to be added to your account? Is weekend shopping a possibility?

  • Thanks OP, I missed out of this offer last time. Can get membership in time for EOFY sale.

  • Limited to first 1,000 Card Members to join myfreedom.

How does one know if they are among the first 1000?

    • If you can enrol, you are in the first 1000, if the offer not present then you are 1000+.

    • If the offer has been fully redeemed (capped out), the promo code will no longer be valid and the following message will display at checkout: Please enter a valid promo code

  • Not so sure if targeted or if I'm >1000 as I can't get the offer…

  • +1

    I think targeted

  • +2

Upon successful redemption of promo code, $0.01 will be deducted from your basket at checkout.
If offer has been fully redeemed (capped out), the promo code will no longer be valid and the following message will display at checkout: Please enter a valid promo code

Good deal but only if you are planning on spending money at freedom in the next couple of years and are patient for your birthday to come around.

  • Get this offer just redirects to my offers. And I don't see this one in there. Probably is indeed targeted.

    • I checked the amex app and it was there. Wasnt on my edge though.

  • Yep, good deal if you're buying items there on sale.

  • I bet the coupon is AMEX or something generic since it says first 1000 uses..

    • +1

No coupon is like a bunch of numbers. I used it and at checkout it took $0.01 off my cart.

      • Where do you get it?

When I select Get Offer it shows me the offers for my card but this one is not in it.

        • +1

          In the AMEX app

        • It's not available for Amex Explorer or it's exhausted then :/

        • @exa:

Login to Amex connect online and try there, not the app

        • +1

          @gadgetguy:

I did both the app and website and it wasn't showing I tried using the apparently generic code 23840898 but their website loaded a page in the coupon form…

  • Thanks, have just signed up

  • $99 membership fee? You gotta be kidding me.

  • When you sign in to your Amex Connect if gives you a unique code then it takes $0.01 off the cart.

Hope they actually honour the deal since it discounts it to $98.99 and not $99 as per the deal lol…

I bought 2x$200 gift cards last time when they had $80 cash back for spending $200. Man, I struggled to spend that money in their store. They hardly had anything of my liking and I ended up buying overpriced Bath Mats, Toilet brush, Pillows etc and still got $190 left to spend…

    • Yeah i signed up when i bought a couch to get free delivery and the birthday vouchers, and really struggled to spend that birthday credit.

    • Basically they are now just a glorified version of ikea, except with much much much more expensive prices.

  • +1

So its actually $99.99 and they remove 1 cent with the promo code.

You get 2 years of membership and 2 x $50 birthday credits for use within 3 months (obviously on or around your birthday).

The checkout site is awful - didn't work at all with Firefox (locked up). Tried again with Chrome and it took ages then said "ooops, technical error" during payment processing. But looking at my account it does in fact appear to have gone through though I got no confirmation email. Also there is no credit in my account yet but it shows an order in progress "Amex MyFreedom Offer *". Hoping this goes through okay.

Editing the addresses in my account was painful too. They seriously need to work on their website. Will still upvote the deal though.

  • signed up. thanks

  • So is the $100 credit on the myfreedom card or on a separate gc anyone know?

  • So you have to pay 99$ and then credit back on your amex card for 100$? Please advise if I am wrong

    • +1

Please advise if I am wrong

      Yes you are wrong.

      • Where? Can you explain please.

        • Where? Can you explain please.

I think you get $100 MyFreedom credit (perhaps an egift card) so no cash back on your Amex.

        • @RockMeLoOn:

          Thanks.

  • How could I make this work for me? I've just paid for the membership and have a purchase with a delivery and payment outstanding in process.

  • Nice they targeted me!

  • Thanks - worked for me. We are about to purchase a new entertainment unit, so it works out well.

  • Anyone want to give me their code ?

    Cheers ;)
    Pm me

    • Are you still after one?

  • Anyone got the credit yet?

    • To reply to my own post. I got a welcome email today but still no credit.

  • Let me know if anyone wants the code. Went to Freedom today, didnt see anything I want so didnt register.

  • Just tried to put an order through on the Freedom website (a nightmare to use), however it froze at the checkout page after I entered the payment details and submitted. I didn't get to the order confirmation page and they have charged my credit card. Its not in my orders either in the my account section.

This happen to anyone else? :/

    • Their website is total crap. See my post above.

      • Did your order show in progress immediately? Mine has nothing under orders

        • My account has orders..
