About 5 to 10% better than Tiger's. My general advice would be to leave plenty of leeway. Not much you can do if a flight is canceled (come back tomorrow!) however.
Qantas and Jetstar are just trying to compete with Virgins sale last night.
yeah lol just received two newsletters from virgin and qantas… fares are pretty good. qantas bne-syd $75 and virgin $55+$10 for luggage. I would fly qantas because they don't have those crazy ads on the screen in front of you and there's tea/coffee and a cup cake (which would almost cost you $10 on virgin anyhow).
MEL-SYD for $79 is good with Qantas. A cheap Tiger fare ($30) plus baggage ($25) and credit card fees will bring you very close to QF.
Just wondering can I buy the ticket first and then buy the extra baggage ($30 for 5kg) later on? Or can I only buy the extra baggage when I buy the ticket? Doesn't say anywhere on the website.
how reliable is jetstar? I need to book some flights, but they have to be on time..
