  • what it is good at? i can't see it at all. from my understanding, it is just a normal card and get 1 year fee waived.

    • +2

The 0% 12 month balance transfer. That's great for those trying to minimise their debt.

      • so many card over BT for min 12 months with no annual fees.
        e.g. AMEX, ANZ, NAB etc….

  • Is it 0 fee on transfer? Usually ANZ charges 3% of the balances transferred. Seems to be zero free in this promotion.

  • I did it recently..Not many cards are truly no BT Fee plus no annual fee u can just close before you are charged for year two

Most BTs charge u a few percent BT fee

So this is a good deal

  • Here is the complete information in a Nutshell….

  • Could someone explain me as what is the exact meaning of this sentence ?
You will not be eligible for interest free days until the balance transfer amount is paid in full.

    • If you have any outstanding balance transfer amount left in your card, then the interest free period (normally 55 days) doesn't apply to you. To enjoy the 55 day interest free period, first you have to clear the balance transfer amount. Otherwise, ANZ will charge you interest for all the purchases that you make from the date of purchase.

      • Thanks my friend….

  • does this promotion have an expiry date?

    • as such no end date has been given

  • I got this offer. I don't see they mention any BT fee, can someone confirm please?

I've been thinking to consolidate credit card balance from Commbank and Master28. I have never done BTs before.

    For example:
Commbank about 3K (due end of next week) - anyway I will pay off this balance because I guess BT process will take longer than a week
Master28 about 1K (due end of May)

I am planning to put request to BT 12K from Commbank to ANZ, and 1K from Master28 to ANZ (my credit limit is 18K).

My understanding is I will have 12K in Credit (surplus) on my CBA credit card.

Anyone has the same experience? any tips or pitfalls (fees etc) I should aware of?

    • @Smaland : Let me clarify your doubts

      1) there is no BT fee as such with the above ANZ offer with Platinum card..

      2) planning to put request to BT 12K from Commbank to ANZ <<—— Your understanding and needs don't match here.. You are availing ANZ BT offer here and NOT the other way around.. Meaning.. you will consolidate all debts from various or simply other credit card and use ANZs BT offer from your approved platinum card and pay off other cards balance… ( typically ANZ will do a BPAY for the BT amount you tell them to do )..
In your case, you will ask ANZ to pay off CBA and\or Master28 bill and you will inturn pay that BTransferred amt back to ANZ in simple instalments in 12months.. (2% being the min monthly amt).

  • Thanks @smiles.

When ANZ BPAY 12K to CBA, I can pull out that 12K out, is it correct?

    Thanks again

    • No - Remember one simple rule - Do not ever ever withdraw money from Credit Card.. Instead once the money is transferred to CBA, you may use it for further purchases…
