Guess you dreamt alot back then mate ;)

    • When I was a strapping young thing I didn't go in for a $3 joby, a 3 way the free way was always the best way!

      • Guess you got really toasty back then hey :P

  • Wished it was longer so that the strap can go across the chest.

I'm not trusting a $1500 camera to something that looks like it has the built quality of the Space Shuttle Challenger.

  • actually quite a good strap

Please do NOT hang your DSLR off this, it's only rated for 600g. It's for smaller mirrorless, and point and shoot cameras.

From the Amazon page: "DSLRs, CSCs, super zoom cameras up to 1.3lbs (600g)"
    Digidirect: "- Strong Cord - Holds 600g"
BHPhotoVideo: "DSLRs up to 1.3 lb (0.6 kg)"

Any claims that this strap can hold ~40kg are a misinterpretation of the marketing material: "The cord incorporated into the strap holds a maximum weight of 90 lb." - BHPhotoVideo. This does NOT mean the entire strap is rated for 40kg.

    • +1

Yup, even basic entry level DSLRs with a kit lens are around 1kg. Put this on a full frame with a hefty lens and you'll be out of pocket a lot more than $3

    • And yet there are all those YouTube videos showing it holding full frame DSLR's!

      • +2

It will hold but for it's not designed for it. You could wear thongs to go hiking and it would work… but it's not designed for it.

  • Yeah, I don't think I'll trust putting over $2000 worth of gear hanging off a $3 strap…Probably good for portable cameras, definitely not an SLR.

I ordered and paid for this last night for pick-up at Broadway HN as it was listed as in stock.
Now I receive a phone call from Broadway HN saying they don't have it in stock and would I like a refund?

Harvey Norman simply cannot do online shopping to save themselves. They are just clueless!

They are Hardly Normal, after all.
