    i don't trust them…

    • why not? i've been with them since 2004 and have not had a single problem? have you ever used virgin?

      • Yes, their customer support is often clueless about current problems… Billing stuff ups, outages, you name it, they don't know about it…

        http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=1471470

So you were happy when you didn't have access to the google domain for a whole week recenty ???

        • TBH, I did not have that problem, or at least I didn't notice it. I understand that it would be very annoying.

          • @tomsco: Very annoying when your Calendar for work appointments does not SYNC for a whole week… And you call the support team and they are not only oblivious to the problem for days, but once they do acknowledge, have no idea how to fix it…

    • I'm on Virgin - never had any issues that would call in to question their trustworthiness…

Dealing with the crap Optus network they use on the other hand…

    • don't feed the troll….

  • Im with virgin, just changed my plan to smart caps, was on the rollover cap plus before. Loving the new data plans with it and unlimited sms text.

Now I can tether away with my android to laptop.

    • Did you go to the shop or change online?
I'm using $29 rollover plan. The new 29 plan on website has 100MB data but on upgrade page only 50MB 0_0

  • Their Android prices suck!
Galaxy S $10/month on the $49 Cap when it's free on the Optus $49 Cap! $12/month for the Xperia X10…

I'm in the market for a new Android or iPhone and iPhone4 is looking tempting at $44 compared to their ridiculous Android prices!

  • for new customers only…

  • Virgin is great with free Virgin-to-Virgin (cough). Hardly use all of my cap because I mainly call/text only a few numbers. Internet is bloody slow, though. :(

That said, this deal has been in place for various phones for a while now, and I'm not sure it's anything special. I guess this time it's for a lot of phones! I've had a friend who also haggled the same thing with a dealer for a phone not on the online 3-months-free list.

Also, I'm not entirely sure it'll work with the code, but you can also get 4000 free Velocity points (which is admittedly only 2 Hoyts tickets) if you're a new customer. Sometimes it goes up to 8000 but I lost in my battle to get upgraded, probably because by the time they'd sent it out, I was out of the promo period. :(

    • True, being on a cap and having free V to V means that I spend very little on my bill (except for my iPhone repayments)
