    • Yeah not got much hope unfortunately

    • yeah we all know… but live in hope!

  • anyone know how to cross a line through text so I can update deal.. cant remember lol

    • +3

Double ~ at the start. Double ~ at the end.

  • Nevermind, the Ultra still has stock….

  • Bought an ultra, fingers crossed this actually goes through! (Although im expecting a cancellation email tomorrow)

  • Got an Extreme Pro from the ebay store.
Then couldn't help myself and got an Ultra II off their website, which I got a confirmation email for.

As with everyone else I am 100% expecting the cancellation notices tomorrow.

    • +3

Its not a massive saving for the Ultra II over retail. I noticed MSY sell the Ultra II 960gb for $369.

Still a good saving, but nothing like the Pro was.

I'm sure it'll be refunds all round! Some worker is going to come in tomorrow and be like WTF 1000+ orders!

      • i bought one of each in case they honor one.

i've been in the market for a 1tb ssd for ages

        • Well if both get refunded, head to MSY, they sell the Ultra II 960gb for $369. ;)

    • That's how low our standards are in this country. In 'merica I'd be expecting lawsuits lol

  • Is this compatible with Macbook pro? Retina screen model

    • +3

no. Nothings compatible with the rMBP lol (i own one).

      • Oh okay, thank god I didnt buy this lol

      • Not true! I have an 850 evo m.2 in my 2012 rMBP 13". Later models switched to PCIe SSDs, but the first gen retina was still SATA

  • While there is a good chance that we will just get refunded, j remember previously they have a store voucher.

I think it was when they had all the Canon lenses priced ridiculously

    • +2

Surely against to law to not refund you?

Otherwise I could set up a store with only one product, say it was a price error then leave you with a voucher for my store with no other products!

      • +3

I think impoze meant graysonline offering full refund + free store voucher as gesture of goodwill

        EDIT: found it

        • Ok thanks I took the meaning to be that they would give you voucher instead of refund! But $50 bonus nice.

        • @leTintin: yeah me too…. Its like voucher? no…. refund or product thanks. But I will take refund AND a voucher.

    • yes, still i can remember Canon lens deal, i got $40 voucher… Bought a printer using that…

    • refund or product. No voucher, against the law in this case.

Some Broden bloodline out there bought 30???? If they shipped every other order but cancelled this one, it would make my day.

I don't have a problem with people making a living, but this is OzBargain. You need to share the love. Big purchases like this make others miss out, which if this deal was LEGIT meant many of the "Pro" units were picked up by greedy people who bought more than 3+

    • 1 is already greedy. I think you may have bought 2 :0.

      • +1

        I bought 1x Ultra + 1x CF card.

    • m***r ( 2054Feedback score is 1000 to 4,999) AU $210.95 30 09-Mar-17 22:14:00 AEDST

      He spend $6000 ???… really??

      • +7

spends 6k to make 3k, easy money

      • Spent $6k buying them @ ~$200, turns around and sells them for ~$400 each. Clear $6k profit!

    • Hope they did that through their site then as it would have worked out HEAPS cheaper, as the combined shipping and lower costs would have brought 30 in at under $5,500.

    Kogan'd

  • hmm paypal was auto authorised to take payment with graysonline…. how do I disable that? can't seem to find it on paypal nor graysonline. (edit: nevermind, god paypal is a maze!)

oh and what happened to cash rewards? I remember graysonline used to have like 9 or 10% cashback or something.

    • Yes done that for me to, I wanted to choose a different payment method and it just skipped that straight to processed.

  • Bought one. Thank you, Original Poster.

  • Bought one earlier and just received an invoice now via email.

Has everybody received their invoice previously?

    • +1

      Wait fot delivery tracking email.

  • Well I decided to enter the Gearbest lottery too and purchased an Ultra, the price is just too enticing.

Thanks OP/Ozbargain, hope we all get lucky (except the Broden's out there buying 10+, ya greedy mugs).

    • Graysonline rather, doh!

    Price error
Knowing Grey's they'll be sending out the email this morning to say sorry we didn't actually have the stock

Good little interest maker for them

Technically they don't have to honour the price if it was an error which clearly it seems to be

    Good luck though

    • +1

If they do that the only thing they will get is negative interest. Its taking them way longer than I expect to act on this one way or another. Surely it doesnt take this long to pick up on massive influx of orders.

      • +2

        Negative or not
People clearly can see it's an error and try to take advantage of it

Either way they legally don't have to honour it as per their disclaimers on their website

If they do then it's a bonus and a lesson learnt if not I don't see why people should be shitty over it

End of the day it's their business not ours and they can run it how they like in compliance with the law

Price errors happen all the time and if it's not financially viable then they won't honour it , simple as that

Yes it would be good if they did honour it in good faith but from history on Ozbargain good luck

        • +1

I felt like I was reading a really bad poem.

    • +3

interest maker? haha yeah no. The money will be sitting in their paypal account that pays ZERO interest.

This will cost them money in man hours to refund/cancel the orders and if they offer a voucher like last time, it will cost them $50 x approx 1000 units sold = $50k

      • -8

You do realise PayPal would be the ones making interest

Please don't comment on topics you have ZERO idea about

        • +8

You implied greys had been making the money on interest, nowhere did you say paypal. So don't be a (mod: personal attack removed) when called out!

        • -5

          @Level380:

          Thanks for the personal attack

Good to see ozbargain allows it here

As for being called out think what you like

I hope they don't honour it just to spite every broaden and person who's going to threaten their company over it

        • :)

        • @Level380: Probably just pissed that he missed the deal judging by his comment below yours. Even though I'm sure it'll be refunded I'd rather be in it just to be sure I don't miss out if there's a 0.1% chance it gets honoured :)

        • @snackerjoe: yeah getting that feeling as well. Hopefully my shipped or refund email will arrive soon!

  • +3

I bet most of you buying from ebay forgot to use CR to get extra 1.3% off… :/

    • +1

No point if there's a refund involved, you won't get the cashback

      • +2

        still worth trying.

    • I went direct as the savings was more than CR.

    • I remembered CR, but it was slow at the time. So I just give up on CR and bought the ssd straight away.

  • I can't buy it last night but I just tried again in this morning and I can order one……
    Thanks op

  • We're sorry, there is not enough stock available to process this order.
Please either remove this item or lower the requested quantity.

    Just in checkout… ARGH!

    • items are all out of stock. How are you even ordering!?

      • -5

really? Does this need explaining to you ….

        • :)

  • +1

    spoke to soon.. deal ended

  • Damn, the one deal I could have used now. 960gb of Extreme would have been amazing. I wonder if they'll honour it now.

  • +4

    From past history
I doubt it will be honoured
I strongly doubt they have the stock levels let alone the ability to cover the costs of these items

Officeworks / other companies have always refunded in full the cost of a price error

I don't see Gray's being any different, they're not going to run their company at a loss let alone give away a 500+ dollar ssd for 179, it's just crazy to think how someone could stuff this up when retail prices are no where near this price even at wholesale levels

I personally haven't seen Gray's let alone most other companies honour huge price gaps ever

Whirlpool thread regarding past graysonline pricing errors for more reading (I'm not too familiar with pricing errors on grays myself, but the stock volume is definitely out of hand for the ssd + compact flash)

    • One of these SSDs are not a $500+ SSD as you say. For example, MSY is selling the Ultra II 960gb for $369 today, walk in, pay, walk out.

      • -2

        Never said they both were
        So nice try

    • Staples honoured their price stuff up years ago. I still have leftovers over from that one.

  • Anyone know why the Ultra invoice keeps referring to POWERHOUSE?

    • I'm guessing cause they're pulling a data feed from Powerhousepc for their prices and products. The pictures seem the same on that site and Grays. FWIW, my Extreme Pro from GraysOnline says the same thing

  • Too good to be turn, guys. Remember.

    • +29

      Remember to speak english

      • +1

Every single word is English !

      Turnt down for what

  • +4

Does everyone have the pitchforks nice and sharp in anticipation of the outcome?

  • Yeah with these I just don't bother anymore
Just end up with my money tied up when a real bargain comes along

Good luck to you guys though!

  • Well i just got my eBay order confirmed so chances just improved of slightly, maybe???

    • Confirmed means it's been paid for
When you see the delivery and tracking number then feel free to update us

  • Still holding my breath

    • Deaded yet?

      Any updates from reps?

  • Anyone got any email confirmation? I can only see a paypal transaction.

    • Not here
bought from their website and used debit card around 9PM

    • Do you mean, rejection letter?

      • Sorry, should have said I bought it from Gray's website. But never got an email confirmation of order being placed apart from the page after paying via paypal.

        Was also multi-tasking so I don't really remember what I did…

        • +1

yeh same except used a debit card no email at all

        • Woops, used my partner's email… I do have the invoice hahahaha sorry ._.

    • +1

I think their server went down after that influx of orders and they haven't quite caught on the shit that they're in lol.

    • I purchased on gray's website, i got the order confirmation, paypal transaction and then 10 minutes later got a tax invoice sent to me.

  • i got a email offering extended warranty on purchase from them

  • +1

I got positive feedback from them at Ebay just before, saying it was a great transaction. I guess we'll find out how great soon enough.

  • I got feedback from grays too, but I dont think it means anything. Prob just automated. I put my order down when there was only 3 comments in this thread so if anyone gets theres I prob be one of those ppl. I can post in this thread if they happen to ship it.
