  • I have not received any email regarding refund, I purchased from Grays. Should i put a claim via Paypal?

    • +3

I purchased direct and still have no refund. I have put in a claim via Paypal. They stuffed up, at least refund us ASAP.

      • They want me to cancel my claim before they will process my refund. That sound normal?

        • +2

There is no reason to cancel your claim - you won't be able to reopen it. They are the ones in the wrong, as they have your money and you dont have your product. You have nothing to lose by keeping the claim open, either they volunteer a refund, or paypal will force them to refund.

        • @pinchies:

Thanks mate, I thought that might be the case, but wasn't certain.

Bugger them, they can refund me, then I'll close the case.

        • +3

          @Baltoski:

Same situation, no way am I closing the case that's saying the issue is resolved when it's not!

If I don't get it today I'll be emailing every manager at greys online.

Why is this still a 'bargain' despite being confirmed as price-error, and refunds issued by the company?

It's been reported but the mods seem unwilling to reclassify….

    • People should revoke their votes. But a lot won't bother and even more won't know how.

  • How do you check if you got the giftcard? Is there a place you check on ebay? Will that guy who purchased 30 get 30 giftcards? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

    • Will that guy who purchased 30 get 30 giftcards?

No, he'll just get a greeting card saying "suck it up, buddy".

    • And if he does, will he have to purchase 30 items to be able to use them? as that would be quite useless.

  • +1

Has anyone who ordered from eBay received there $20 voucher yet?

  • Hoping that tonight, on the one week anniversary of this (profanity) up, we can hit them with the negative feedback.

  • +2

    Can finally Neg on Ebay,

    • Yeah, can see the neg comments already lol. May leave mine later tonight.

    • Submit mine already~

    • Left my neg…

    • left my neg vote

  • +2

Negative feedback submitted. Encourage everyone else to do so also, lets hit them hard.

    • +7

From my understanding they need to keep 98%+ feedback over the last 12 months to keep powerseller status (we all know eBay wouldn't revoke it from a cash cow, but in the ozbargain spirit lets try it anyway!)

      We need 295 Total Negs
      Current count 135

I normally would not consider doing this, but grays have made it a habit of theirs to screw us over, and the fact it took them this long for some refunds (not everyone has been refunded) they need to be punished to learn from their mistakes.

      • They already have my vote. Kinda wish I split my order up so I could give more than 1.

  • Finally receive an email from GraysOnline…a week since purchase.

    Dear Richard

This email is to let you know that your refund relating to case XXX has been approved.

  • Refund email 1 week after purchase, refund delayed till probably next week and no voucher yet… poor form

*** Edit, received voucher but 2 business days for refund means I wont get the money back till next week.

  • I was one of the first to order this drive when it was posted on ozbargain. I used ebay and paid by paypal. It took them 8 days total after receiving my order to get a refund back to Paypal (which takes a further 2-5 days to get back into my bank account). Imo this was too long. They couldve ATLEAST acknowledge the pricing error within a few days, while working on refunding buyers but they didnt. So I left negative feedback for them. Anyways no more graysonline purchases I think.

Still waiting on a refund. Email to them just repeated rubbish about it being 2-5 business days away.

  • +1

they dont even respond to my emails about cancelled laptop order. Useless time wasters Will leave neg feedback at earliest opportunity.

  • +1

Do Grays use the American date style? I hope so otherwise my $20 voucher expired in January (7/1/2017).

  • SUbmit Neg to them. No refund and voucher till now. Will avoid them ever.

    • +1

      What? Stil no refund?

I haven't received an eBay voucher yet. Has anyone else?

  • +1

Just keep an eye out guys. They opened a case for non payment on my SSD order after they refunded my payment. Ebay kinda squashed that case but it's still a pretty dodgy move. It was just brought to my attention when a rep contacted me earlier this evening about a different case.

    11:09:38
I have checked and can see that seller opens unpaid item case against you on 15 March 2017 and was closed after investigating on 16 March 2017.
    11:10:11
i see … even though i paid for it and they refunded
    11:10:22
    those dodgy bastards
    11:10:32
    the case has been investigated.
    11:10:53
Now, the case is closed and you do not have worry.
    11:11:42
so is there any marks against my account ?
    11:11:52
    No.
    11:12:06
    Case shows closed.

Anyway just keep a eye out peoples.

    • Amateur hour.

    vs.

    • 98.4%

      • I haven't left a neg yet, I'm waiting to secure the $20 voucher first. Then it will be 3 negs from from my household.

At this stage they have only received approx 100 negs directly related to these Sandisk products. There were over 1000 cancelled Sandisk products .

        • people dont leave negs usually for price errors however in case they should be.

        • I'm not leaving a neg for the pricing error, it will be for holding onto my money for nearly 7 days for no reason. My comment will reflect that.

    • down to 98.3% … am sure it can get to <98%

  • +1

I only got the refund today, never got a voucher and wouldn't use it anyway as I won't buy from them again.

Already left the negative feedback on eBay and left a negative review on

    • +2

I think a lot were angry more of the slow response to reimburse. I don't get it though that you want to get compensated with a $20 voucher but then you want to leave a negative feedback. I asked my wife who works in retail, how long does it take to reimburse. She said you need to verify the item then make the reimbursement and it could take 3-7 min per reimbursement, depending on how fast you can work on it. We all know nobody can work straight 100% efficient at 3min/reimbursement. Assuming you have 3000 reimbursement to do and you have 2 staffs who also has to do other things like work on vouchers, inquiries and unrelated transactions. They might allocate maybe 1 staff to do the reimbursement. You do the math on how long it will take.

I can't blame people being mad at them for always making this error. Obviously they should have some alert in place when an item is rapidly sold within 15min so they can verify and correct it.

    • +3

It's not about not honouring the deal it's more about the slow communication. Not to mention the fact that once the errors were made about a hour or so after the eBay listings were updated on their end, so they had opportunities to correct the error before it got out of hand. 99% don't care about the voucher, I know a lot of us will only use it if we can find the sales manager / executive's address and we can send them 20$ worth of dildo's or items to similar effect.
Most people are upset that there is still a large number of people that still are yet to get a response or refund I know for myself I am still waiting on 3 of 4 refunds across all of the "data feed errors". I'm also pretty pissed off that they tried to flag me for non payment aswell after they refunded the eBay purchase.

    • +1

      @dsq

You just don't seem to get it. Time for you to move on.

    • @dsq Agree waiting for voucher, before negatively voting isnt really fair. In my case I felt like those above, that the level of communication was really poor. Even when the deal was cancelled, instead of admitting an error was made, which there was, they just said "no reason". If they dont send me a $20 voucher because I voted them down, so be it.

And my comments to them when I voted, were related to the communication, NOT the error.

Sounds like they should stop employing ex journalism graduates whose life spin is "dont admit to anything".

Now if only the pollies and the newspapers could accept that mistakes can be made, we might have more human..ity

  • +2

Enough chatter chatter, they're at 98.3% feedback rating, get hammering with the negs if you haven't already.

  • Anyone else still not gotten their money back?

I bought 1 from ebay and 1 from their site, got 1 refund and 1 voucher.

    • +1

I'm still yet to get money back for 3 of 4 transactions. My eBay was refunded but transactions through their site have not been refunded or even emailed about. If you paid using PayPal might be a idea to make a claim through them.

      98.2% almost there.

  • No refund yet
3 transactions through their website, paid using PayPal

  • I haven't got a refund yet either, how is it so hard

  • +1

    98.2%

still no voucher as promised - probably take them another 10 days ffs

  • Got my refund last week

    • +1

Got mine too but I'd paid through eBay. Looks like the ones who haven't yet been refunded are the ones going through their website. Pretty crappy tbh, do they put less priority on those who bought via the website, maybe they're hoping if they refund quicker via eBay then people won't leave neg feedback?

  • done - 98.1%

  • Anyone got their ebay voucher yet?

    • They mentioned one being sent, but nothing added to the Ebay account yet. I'd never use it anyway so no biggie.

      • You should use it for a $20 item, otherwise to them this whole fiasco costs them nothing other than a reputation hit. If everyone who's actually received them uses their $20 vouchers then at least it will hit their hip pocket too and maybe they'll clean up their act.

  • Down to 98% now. Any suggestions for the $20 voucher?

  • Used my voucher to purchase American Crew Defining Paste for $3.

  • Bought via Ebay, refund received back to credit card, but no $20 voucher.
In the ebay email about the Cancellation Request, it says
If you don't take action by 22-Mar-2017 (tomorrow), the seller will be able to cancel the purchase without your consent.

So while some people are waiting for the voucher, their sale can be cancelled without their say so and they can't Neg feedback after?

Did they just sprinkle $20 vouchers at random to keep people's hopes up?

    • Yes, if you don't use your vote by tomorrow you'll lose the ability altogether.

  • Where do you look to see if you have the voucher?

    • +2

Just checked, it came to My Ebay Messages in last 24h

      • Ahh yep. Got it too. Thanks

  • Got my voucher but will not be using it to buy from that corrupt company

    • So you reject their free 20 dollar item? Win Win for them then.

      • sure did not getting my business i gave the code to my mate

        • You might want to look at point 8 on the T&C -

          1. The voucher is linked to your eBay User ID and cannot be transferred.
  • When I look at something at Grays eBay, the system indicates that the voucher is good until end of the year (31/12/17)

    • +3

Plenty of time then for a future disappointing experience with them.

  • Well done all, they've now dropped to 97.9% positive feedback.

    graysonline-australia (258587)
    97.9% positive feedback

  • I had a $20 voucher fail moment. I found a $15.90 item and somehow I was charged the full amount….damn!

    • Paypal invoices usually show the full amount when coupons are applied. Check your bank account, cc or whatever you used.

      • Yeah I was hoping that too. I expanded the detail of the transaction and there's no mention of a voucher. I'll just give them a call tomorrow.

  • I think to get the voucher you have to cancel the order first. i got mine after i cancelled it. The big thing that pisses me off is that grays doesn't admit it's a price error, they just say they don't have any stock.

  • 97.8%
They are a eBay Top-rated seller

I don't need power seller next to their account anymore

  • My voucher expired today, waiting for it to be gone completely… :)
