      • Even with shipping, this link is cheaper. They accept PayPal too.

      • GST is included, backed by paypal on grays direct website as well.

      • +2

$195 shipped to Melbourne from greys direct, paid via paypal. So $15 cheaper than ebay!

    • Shipping was about $17 for me!

      • Sorry I meant if it is a price error, easier to get money off PayPal with eBay. Have had problems chasing up refunds with graysonline in the past

        • graysonline use paypal as well isnt it?

  • I was jujst in the market for an SSD so one with a 10 year warranty is a YES PELASE :)

  • +2

Having dealt with them directly through their own site, I suspect we'll all have problems here, but if ebay, paypal and my own credit card company are behind me, I figure I can't lose too badly by buying 1 and hoping it arrives….

    • You can pay paypal direct to the greys website. Its $195 shipped from them. You have the 'paypal' protection.

I doubt you'll have any issues. I ordered one. I fully expect it to be refunded in the morning as a pricing mistake.

      • Ah, I didn't bother checking their own site.
Still, worth the risk I guess, but yes 99% chance of a refund. No way they're going to just take the huge loss by actually mailing these out.
Especially since they'll probably sell another 1000 before tomorrow as word goes around.

        • Yes I expect a refund email in the morning saying pricing error, but just on the off chance they honour the deal, I brought one!

Great price if they ship it! If they don't, nothing lost.

  • +2

Purchased 2 pros. Let's see if it's real or not. Seems too cheap. Obviously neg feedback if falls through.

  • +10

    what did i just purchased?

  • So this is the one they screwed up their pricing with

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SanDisk-SSD-Plus-480GB-2-5-inch-S…

    • ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

They screwed it up on ebay and on the greys online website.

The 960gb model is $210 delivered via ebay or $195 via greys delivered.

      • At least on their website they can claim a misprint, but on ebay.. well either lots of negs, or Ebay will hand them a get out of jail free card.

        • As a seller, you can cancel the sale of a ebay item, no questions asked. Buyer can't leave feedback then. So no negs.

        • @Level380:

Oh Lame, that takes the fun out of this now.

        • +4

          @Level380:

          From Ebay

          Things to keep in mind
If you cancel a transaction, the buyer may be disappointed or feel that you didn't honour your side of the bargain. Keep in mind that:
If you cancel a transaction, it is considered a transaction defect and may affect your seller level. Learn more about seller performance standards.
If you cancel a transaction, the buyer can still leave you negative or neutral Feedback about the transaction.

SWEET BRING ON THE NEGS :) or I will be happy to receive my SSD

        • +1

@scissorspaperrock: Oh they must have changed it again. Interesting you can leave feedback on a cancelled sale!

Being a 'large' seller. I'm sure they have some special T&Cs and will get around that ;)

  • HIghly doubted they will honour it, they may want to , but won't have enough stocks.

    Anyway, bought 1 to test.

    • How will they not have enough stock? They entered an amount into the system of stock they have. Once its sold, its sold.

As to honouring it, I expect a refund in the morning for sure. But just incase!

      • Graysonline is not a wholesale, it most likely acts like a half-retail, when you sell a huge amount of HDD because price error, its supplier will refuse to provide stocks to avoid price crashes.

        • Graysonline is wholesale to a point. They are a dumping ground for suppliers, end of line items etc. Hence why stock changes all the time.

If they got 1100 units in as reported elsewhere in these comments. Then they will have 1100 units sitting ready to go.

Now if they want to sell at this price, thats another point!

I don't think many stores stock over 300 solid state drives of one type. They probably don't even have 1/3rd of that stock imo

  • Definitely get the pro version.

    • +2

You arent going to get a 960gb ssd this cheap for a while.

      • +4

No one is going to get a 960gb ssd this cheap because it's a pricing error.

But, hey, bought 1 of each anyway. Might get lucky.

  • Can't seem to get past checkout on their site once I enter Paypal as a payment method.

    • greys site? Click place order after the paypal auth.

    • same here, but i eventually got it on 3rd/4th try , i ended up switching to click and collect, not sure if that made a difference.

      • Thanks guys.

The issue was with Paypal express and the shipping cost wasn't carrying over. Worked fine using standard Paypal checkout.

Price is probably legit but referb models advertised incorrectly like most grays online products.

    • They can get sued for that because they're advertising as brand new, highly doubt they're doing that.

      • -1

Yeah, and especially with Grays' business model, if they killed their own reputation lying about products, they'd go bankrupt. Unless they are going bankrupt…

Someones definitely hit the wrong upload button:

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SANDISK-SDHC-SDB-32GB-CLASS-4-/20… $120.95 i'd say they are dreaming….

    Here's hoping though :)

    even better http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/KINSTON-SDC10G2-8GBFR-8GB-microSD…

    8gb for 186.95

and my final one … this has no hope of being honored … oh well

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/microSD-SDQ-2GB-/401288166076?has…

    2gb for 208.95

    • +2

Maybe someone on their last day having a laugh.

  • Gotta be in it to win it…grabbed one to see what happens.

Just noticed a $30 voucher in my ebay…Bought another lol

  • got one, lets see if it comes
cost me AU $180.95, with the $30 ebay voucher

    • +3

Is the voucher forfeited if they cancel the order?

      • +2

nah usualy they go back as a voucher

    • how do you get the $30 ebay voucher? Ive been using ebay for yrs and never receive any vouchers from them

      • Slept with the Australian directors wife

  • Have the 480GB version of the 960 and it's still going good so far for over a year

  • Well I better join the band wagon and purchase one myself, Let's see if they will honor this :)

  • I placed an order. I dont know how they are going to get one for every person who placed an order. Lets see what happens.

  • +1

For those whacking this into a laptop this car charger seems reasonable for less than $10:

Thanks OP! Noticed on checkout there was an error about the seller making a change to listing. Clicked to pay again and it went through.

    • Lol I had that too and immediately checked the price, was the same so I continued to pay up :)

  • Maybe this is the reason why it is cheap…

    On GraysOnline website,
    Warranty:
    12 Month Vendor Warranty

    • Even no warranty still a bargain.

  • -1

This will not be honored. 1. No company stocks this many 2. they would lose heaps of money 3. it would take a long time to get enough stock. you will get an apology letter in the morning and a full refund. I bought it just for the fun of it though :P

  • +1

530+ sold which would be around $110k+ in payment to grays in a little under 1hr 45m, paypal, ebay and credit card banks will be working overtime if this goes south.
    Check back in 12-24hrs.

    • I highly doubt they have $110k worth of ssds in stock, to suddenly put on a firesale. They wont be getting new stock just to fulfil this typo mistake, but maybe they will sell the ones they have in stock for the listed price.

      • I suspected that which is why I didn't use my $30 ebay voucher as Im sure those get wasted when the seller cancels a order. Even if they fulfil this it might only be for the first 100 orders or so if they even have that much stock but I didn't buy until after there was 300+ sold. You'd kick yourself if you didn't try and it actually worked.

  • +2

    Payback time!

    SAVE UP TO 75%*

  • +1

ok caved..purchased for under $200 from the graysonline website instead of ebay

  • +3

Bought 2. Add this to the amazon 16tb wd nas and thats a lot of $$ spent on storage which I don't really need! But the savings!!!!!

  • +1

ahh f it! bought it. will work out what to do with later!

  • +1

Couldnt resist for a bargain. Bought 1

This shall go nicely with the MX300 750GB

  • +1

    bought and wait for cancelling

  • Like others I've purchased just in case they honour it - it did say half way through the seller has updated the item, but it let me re-add it to my basket at $210 from eBay - went there just for eBay and PayPal protection.

    Fingers crossed.

  • They must of sold almost at least 1000 SSDs.

  • +1

I wonder if we'll get called "professionals"

    • -3

i bet 7 news (worse news channel) will jump on this if we dont get them.

      • get ready to say Hi to a lot of new ozbargain accounts commenting with the same set of questions

  • +1

jumping in on the refund bandwagon, hope the poor sap who has to clean this up aint the year 10 work experience kid :D

  • Bought but expect a refund

  • +6

No word of lie this is what happened to me

    1. Holy crap 960gb ultra ii ssd for 960, buy x1
    2. damn! the extreme pro was the same pro
    3. Convince yourself that they have less reliability due to a post I saw once
    4. Buy 960 extreme pro x 1
    5. Go back to ozbargain.com.au to write about this and then see comment about cheaper on grays site
    6. Buy 2 x 960 extreme on grays site

    $800 later….

And I didn't need an ssd in the first place

I hope I can return the eBay ones.

    • +1

Just simply resell them for $1600 later!

    • Don't worry, little chance of them honouring the order

  • Not sure about buying from Greys. Had issues earlier. Giving E-bay a go now

  • +1

Bought one. Now just need to buy a laptop to put it in.

  • Thinking of cancelling the eBay orders and reorder from Greys directly. Pros & Cons?
Is it possible to cancel ebay orders before they are shipped like Amazon?

    • No stock at either for the pro units. So too late.

  • Looks like fun is over, now it says in my cart "Item not available".

  • Who here bought 10 lol

    • -5

      Lol i did 😂😂😂😂

      • Lol, I was just speaking to my workmate, he didn't know about this deal but his pal from Dell did, who said that his mate bought 30! Immediately thought of your post hah.

        • probably intending to resell them on ebay for a tidy profit. I would do the same thing but i'd feel like a major (profanity).

    • This guy bought 30! Must be Broden under a different account!

    • +1

      This kills GraysOnline

    • +1

      and that just for ebay.

777 seems like such a dodgy number haha

  • You can still get Pro on Grays online direct! I just bought one!!

  • Seems too good to be true, bought one!

  • The Pro is out of stock on eBay but it's still available on the graysonline website
