Preorder Kick-Ass DVD, released 19/08 - 50% Off

25

Preorder the DVD 'Kick-Ass', out on the 19th August for $19.95, starring Nicholas Cage.

KICK ASS tells the story of average teenager Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson), who decides to take his obsession with comic books as inspiration to become a real-life superhero. As any good superhero would, he chooses a new name — Kick Ass — assembles a suit and mask to wear, and gets to work fighting crime.

Theres only one problem Kick Ass has absolutely no superpowers. His life is forever changed as he inspires a sub-culture of copy cats, meets up with a pair of crazed vigilantes — an eleven year old sword-wielding dynamo, Hit Girl (Chlo Moretz), and her father Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage) — and forges a friendship with another fledging superhero, Red Mist (Chris Mintz-Plasse). But thanks to the scheming of a local mob boss Frank DAmico (Mark Strong), that new alliance will be put to the test.

  • Very good movie!

  • This is not a bargain. Or it is at least defined wrong.
50% off? That would make the original price $40 ($39.90).

  • Maybe the bluray rrp $40, but you should easily find this in stores for $20 when it's released. D store should be cheaper, but once again it's not.

    • add $9.95 to that price and that reflects dvdland, ezydvd and jbhifi

  • his looks like the plain vanilla single disc edition. Which usually sells cheap anyway. If it were the 2 Disc Special Edition then it would be a bargain for a new release. Who actually pays the premium price for new releases anyway? If you wait a month or two they will be much cheaper.

  • kmart wil have it for 19, they always bring out the new releases on dvd for that price to start with

  • Good movie, bad bargain.

  • -2

god knows im one to neg if its warranted, but im yet to see a reason to do so. Like most dvd's it pays to shop around and at best, its $29.95 (after checking 3 sites) and its also worth mentioning, its a pre order (if you think you can get it cheaper, thats no reason to neg)

movie sounds like its awful anyway

    • Places like jb hifi and kmart do sell new releases for ~$20 at release before they jack it up the next week, so yes, you will be able to but this for less that $27 at release.

  • 1 of the best films I have enjoyed this year

  • Povo.

I thought that the 50% off price was for pre-orders only, but it says nothing about it being a pre-order price/deal only.
Regardless, over inflated phoney "List Price" of $40. And $27 total cost including shipping.

I haven't seen the movie yet, missed it in the cinema, can't wait for DVD release.
