This is a great buy for a fantastic mixer. I bought this in may last year for my wife for $799.
This one in my personal opinion is a better mixer than the kitchenaid artisan. We have tried both and the connection/attachment of the kenwood is more solid. Its a far more powerful machine and the end products are amazing.
Good gift for wife/ mother or if you fancy baking yourself.

So needy…
I wouldn't mind being baked.
You self-raising, I am?
I admit I was a little skeptical reading that you thought this is better than the KitchenAid. According to Choice you are correct as it scores slightly higher in "ease of use" 75% vs 68%; both score 100% in all other categories.
The attachments to this are pretty useful, I have a food processor attachment as well, which i dont believe the kitchenaid has. They both have a heap of attachments but the food processor was unique to the kenwood
I stand corrected lol. But the design aesthetics and price???
Kenwood version http://www.kenwoodworld.com/en-au/products/kitchen-machines/…
$399 vs $169@maverickjohn: Yeah I hear you on both counts! The Kitchenaid version I believe has a removable bottom so you can use slicing blades and have the slices fall through to a bowl underneath (like into a salad bowl for example). However I don't think it's worth the price difference.
Good find on this deal OP :)
Baking is awesome, I would only ever marry a woman who could bake and knead.
