Thanks to Price Hipster i found these Metal signs for sale. Personally i dont have a need for these but ordered one of each for pickup anyway.

Not sure of the dimensions but they are battery operated.

According to Price Hipster they use to be $30

Although these are no longer available for purchase online. They will still scan at $2 if you find any in store. I just picked up the last two arrows from my local JB store. Both scanned at $2, even when they had a big sale sign on them saying $9.95 each.

      Ordered two OPEN ones, two arrows and one & from Doncaster JB.
      Upon pickup I see the ON AIR one discounted so I swapped an OPEN one for the ON AIR one.

      It was a pricing error but they were nice enough to honour it anyway.

      On the video posted above, if its the same one, you can power the lights via a usb cable.

      Anything's possible, yes. A simple plugpack with enough oomph at around 5V should do it. Note the OPEN sign is the only one that specifies LEDs, the Ampersand and Arrow specify 'Lamps' so that may mean actual old-skool filament Lamps so they'll suck the juice when compared to LEDs. 500mA or 1A should do the trick I'd say. Pull the thing apart and connect it direct to the wires coming from the battery box. Twist together with sticky tape is all that's really required but obviously a nicer job with a soldering iron and a DC socket would be far better. Who knows… they may even have a DC socket and those 'Lamps' may in fact be LEDs anyway. Wont know til I pull one apart.

        Nah, all LEDs these days, it's basically a short string of Christmas lightss.

        The 'globes' are little plastic ball that clip onto the LED. Neat idea actually.

          i did a 3x order then a 2nd order of 2x when i realised i could run the open sign off usb ports…only saw my order on the counter waiting for pickup (dandenong, vic) so i reckon pretty limited supply and we cleaned them out hence the 404s this morning

    Same here… I got pickup notification earlier (2x items). Funnily enough the website threw up an error message when I ordered last night saying it wasn't completed, call customer service etc… BUT I received the confirmation email straight away so just ignored it. Looking forward to getting this useless purchase. Good storage for the eneloops.

    This deal is still available instore. Just went and got 2 x Open lights and 1 x Arrow one for $6 total. The Arrow is bigger than I anticipated too. As I was leaving the stooge on the door refused to accept the docket was right for my big bag of stuff and made me wait there until he went and clarified it with someone at the checkout.

    It was embarrassing being treated like a thief but I suppose JB don't normally have such large items instore for such cheap prices so understandable.
