Note card has a $150 annual fee but you may be successful in getting it waived for the first year if you ask politely or try to combine it with one if their business packages. Has anyone tried combining it with "Special Offer - Business One Low Save up to $120 by having the Monthly Plan Fee waived for the first year when you open a new Business One - Low Plan account by 28 Feb 2017." and getting their business credit card annual fee waived please let us know? note you need an ABN to apply.

Not a bad offer as there isn't often promotions for a business credit card. The other comparable current offer is the nab business platinum rewards card which has the annual fee waived in the first year but you need to spend 15k within 90 days to get the bonus 80k nab reward points ref http://www.nab.com.au/business/business-cards/nab-rewards-bu… However the westpac choices rewards card you get the 80k bonus points with any purchase amount. Note also i think you earn points if you pay the ATO with it but not on the NAB business card.

  • Note need to have an ABN.
I think that 'Westpac' should be in the title.

    • I have an ABN, but no current active business. Would I still be ok to apply for this card?

      • as long as you have a personal income of 30k and are a sole trader you should be ok. they didnt ask me to provide proof of any of the financials as ive been trading more than 2 years i guess they do a credit check and abn look up as a minimum pretty easy approval.

    • Westpac in Title and Abn info now added (No I am not going mad folks:))

  • anyone successfully managed to get the annual fee waived for the first year?

  • The Aquire Points your business earns can be converted to Qantas Points at a rate of 1:1 to any Qantas Frequent Flyer account.

Because it mentions the points your business earns, can we still convert the 80,000 bonus points to QFF?

  • yes you can transfer the Aquire Points your business earns to Qantas Points at a rate of 1:1 to a personal Qantas Frequent Flyer account. i think there may be a minimum amount i.e 10k+ balance you need first

  • Has anyone been successful in getting their annual fee waived?

    • i managed to get it waived for the first year last year (40 k points) when i applied over the phone by politely asking and negotiating with rep before submitting application and they agreed but i still got charged per quarter. so called up to complain but luckily i wrote down rep name and they checked notes made on my account and refunded me later on. it all depends on your relationship and products held with wbc, who you speak to on the phone, their authority and your luck i guess. i plan on reapplying later on in May under another ABN and will try once again to get it waived for the 1st year then.
