7-Eleven Fuel App Watch - Nationwide - January 2017 to January 2022 » All Comments

    • That's a tough situation you were in. But i'm pretty sure they can manually do it if something were to happen. There should always be another alternative but don't quote me on it.

    • +16

      read the t's and c's
the app even has a way to lodge this process and upload the receipt…
      Settings->Missed Discount

      couldnt be much easier

      • just tried that, hopefully no issues. Thanks again

    • Just call them up, they will credit you the difference. Have done that couple of times.

    • I got a “refund” for this once, they loaded the difference as credit in my 7-11 account.

  • +9

It's now 122.9c U98 at 7-Eleven Eltham, Sherbourne Road, Eltham.

    • +3
      • +1

lol actually I just had one expire right now….so I've locked in again.

So that means everyone else hold off, it'll keep dropping.

I might have to stock up on a few more of these cheap Catch/Kogan sims I suppose I only really need 7 all up.

        • +1

So that means everyone else hold off, it'll keep dropping.

          you have… the POWER!
          $1.219

    • damn it.. just locked yesterday.

    • +7

freakin hell, by the looks of it, my tank will get full just by refilling 2L at a time trying to lock in a lower price.

  • -6

    Hello folks,
Must have been asked b4, apologies in advance. Been away for a while, hacked 7 11 app says something along the lines that there is a new app version avaible with EXIT and APP STORE buttons, it doesn't let me lock the price with diff location. HELP?
    Use Note 8.

    • +3

Delete the app and install one of these

      • Thanks guys, appreciated.

    • read……this……thread…..

      • Got it and worked like a charm. Love your work.

  • +3

Eltham still going down. Now $1.219 for 98.

    • Hmm I see terminal gate prices have started to rise again.

      https://www.aip.com.au/pricing/terminal-gate-prices

The question is can we get 98 below 120 this cycle????

    • Gone back up folks

    • +1

      Gone back down!

      • +1

        $1.209 :D

        • +4

And i filled up at 1.219, like the sucker I am.

          • +1

@[Deactivated]: Now would u wanna hold out for $1.199? 😏

            • @Sweetnsour: Well the self sacrificing person that I am, I'll take on for the team, lock in 120.9 tonight, which will mean it'll drop below 1.20 tomorrow.

              • +2

@[Deactivated]: Haha thanks for your sacrifice. But don't worry eventually you'll be right when it rises overnight. Not worth trying to save $0.50 when it's costs you $5.00 (assuming rises to $1.30 @ 50L.

              • +1

@[Deactivated]: You have a gift…you should take this power and use it for good..

                U98 is now 119.9c

                • +1

@SBOB: I shall now lock in mid week before any long w/e.

  • -8

    Hi guys,

Any idea if 7 eleven can ban or trace if we lock in cheapest prices Australia wide rather than in the state where we live?

I live in Vic but if NSW and qld keep having cheapest prices will they somehow blacklist my fuel app account?

  • -5

Just opened Nox after a long time and error comes up that a new version is available .
Anyone updated the app on Nox via Play Store and still using it ?

    https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/71725/66619/capture.jp…

      • Thanks
Was just about to edit my post,, but someone was too fast with the neg !
Ah well, suits me for jumping the gun !

        • +1

          no you werent…
someone posted the same question like 3 posts above yours..
if you cant even skim the last page before posting, what makes us think you'd go back more than that ;)

          • -2

            @SBOB: Couldn't see it ….
Had been negged to oblivion by people like you, hence collapsed

      • -1

        ;)

  • +2

This is great, cant believe Ive never seen this thread before today. Got the fuel app up and and running on NOX, and checking the best location price via https://projectzerothree.info/prices.php. Im going to go grab a 7-11 gift card to top up my account, but just wondering whats usually the best day to actually lock a price in? Im guessing prices may vary dramatically based on the day of the week in different location around the country?

    • +2

You can set up price alerts on the "projectzerothree" site Here

    • +9

Props to finding this thread today and figuring it out without asking the usual questions!

There's no real "best day" to lock in. I just lock in when I see that I'll need to fill up soon and figure that prices most likely won't drop much further (except for those big drops from stations that run out of 91 and sell 95/98 at 91 prices for a bit).

A lot of the time I lock in right as I need to go fill up.

  • For the last week or so I keep getting an error trying to lock via the web portal. Can anyone help please?

    IndexError

IndexError: list index out of range

    • +2

Yeah I had this problem the last few times.
Try using manual mode and enter the name of the suburb instead of postcode to lock.

      • That worked, cheers for the tip

        • +3

Yep. I'll work on a fix when I have time (I'm in the middle of trying to get the SSL on for the public version, just waiting on Catalystic to reply with something). I had a couple of ideas for a fix.

The problem is from what I have gathered is that the geocode part tries to pinpoint the central location of a postcode, but if for instance Bankstown has a few surrounding suburbs that use the 2200 postcode and so Google (or the script in particular) doesn't know where the central point is - if that makes sense.

          • @Freighter: Thanks for the explanation. I very much appreciate this tool so thanks for the ongoing support

  • +12

    U98 is now 119.9c @ 7/11 Eltham North.

    • Just locked this in, still good.

  • +12

    U98 - 117.9c Ashwood, VIC

    • +3

Gone back up. Showing $1.34 for me.

      • Dang waited too long

  • U91 - 114.2 Wanneroo, WA (Equal predicted cheapest for Perth, 11th of Feb)

    • its 111.9 in Bankstown NSW at the moment.

      • Just locked in Ashwood ;)

        • me too. i think this will be the lowest for 2-3 days

  • Not sure if this is derailing the thread in a way, but thinking perhaps others are interested in knowing this too. What's the reason for the diesel price being consistently above petrol prices.
? I remember years ago a sudden surge due to increased demand in Asia for industrial purposes. Is this basically still the case?

    • +1

I posted a link in here as to why there's no cycle like petrol (basically most diesel is wholesale and a overall higher demand makes it quite a different market). As to why it's more expensive though I'm not sure.

  • +14

With Freighters help, the web portal is now running SSL - Happy for people to reach out if you have any concerns or questions.

    https://fuel.ethergroup.com.au/

    • Love yours and freighters work. Very appreciated. You'll be saving the Ozbargainers group thousands.

    • great work and working .
Questions : if I lock in 10 liters, could I put in 20 liters and still use the voucher for the discount ?

      • nope.. i went over by less than a L once and was told i couldnt use the voucher anymore

        • +9

nope.. i went over by less than a L once and was told i couldnt use the voucher anymore

you get the discount up to the L value you lock in, then sign posted price for the amount over

      • +4

the voucher (discount) is only good for the #litres you locked in. so you get discount on 10L, and remaining 10L is at normal pump price. (refer to T&Cs)

        • +2

          well i got rorted then

          • +1

@ssjmark: don't worry. you've found this thread.. all wins from here ;)

          • +1

@ssjmark: If you have the receipt, maybe you could try the missed discount option in the app

    • Apologies for my lack of knowledge, but in layman's terms does this mean our information is more secure?

      • Yes essentially it means that information that is sent between you and the server is encrypted so that someone in the middle won't be able to read it.

        • -1

though technically Catalystic can still access them..
so you need to trust they arent going to run off with your 7-11 credit ;)

          • +4

@SBOB: I can't access anyones details though as a FYI.
Only the IP They're accessing from.

            • +2

@Schema: Even that now you can't even see. The log file doesn't show anything now for example:

2019-02-11 00:32:24,001 INFO success: nginx-app entered RUNNING state, process has stayed up for > than 1 seconds (startsecs)

              • @Freighter: I have been wondering about this. Solid OpSec, makes me feel much more comfortable suggesting this to close friends/family. Don't want the word to get out too much!

            • @Schema: Cool. Didn't mean to imply you were.
Perhaps I misunderstood how this was setup, as the SSL connection just encrypts between client and server.
So assumed that,if one was inclined to, the scripts running on the server could be modified to log things such user and pass.

But if it's all running client side, then misunderstanding on my side…

But +1 for setting this up for those that need it.

    • -4

      Hi Catalystic,
I'm trying to locate the guideline but couldn't find any. Could you show me how to use this? Thanks in advance.
      https://fuel.ethergroup.com.au/

Does it mean that we just have to login using 7-11 app email address and pwd? What is the pre-requisite? To have the same email registered with OZBargain? Need some enlightenment here. Many thanks.

      • +1

Just need to log in with your 7-11 credentials.

        • Many thanks Catalystic. Does it mean it can only support gmail? My login email is yahoo.com and looks like it couldn't find the account.

          • @cliff-rock: Pls ignore the above. I found out the issue. Thanks and have a great day :)

      • You need to top up your account via the 7-11 app to ensure you have funds to lock in the voucher.

  • Looks like 7/11's fuel division is gaining considerable marketshare: https://www.insideretail.com.au/news/7-eleven-battles-brutal…

    • +1

A bit old to post though?

  • -4

    Hi all,

I am an android user. My 7/11 app has updated & I am unable to use a fake location to get the best price.

How can I download a a version of 7/11 app which helps to fake a location.

    Thank you!!

  • +6

ULP95 is $1.149 at Hampton Park if that suits anyone. Theyve only recently started selling 95 right? They were the ones who always had cheap 98?

    • Boo :(
Hope they also run out of P95 soon :D

      • +4

        U95 - 112.9
        Hampton Park, VIC 3976

        • No servo near me has 95 :(

  • Can 7-eleven refuse ur voucher? because they think is not genuine ?

    • The store can. But if your barcode is real, you can upload the receipt through the app. They will send the credit to your account

      • +1

Like now Im buying diesel in WA.. @129.9 and the whole wa store selling it @139.9.. the store staff keep grilling me where so I get 129.9 from.. I just pretend speaking other languages and they just accept my code…

can they actually refuse the pricing from 7-11 app fuel lock?

        • +1

They may just be genuinely curious. I get asked most times where I lock it in and I always give them an answer to which they reply "It's a really good price!".

        • +5

Tell you got it in NSW on a trip.

        • It's really none of their business tbh. The franchisee doesn't pay the discount afaik

  • -6

Cheapest 98 ATM? Eltham North has gone up.

    • +4

Feast your eyes on this website and you'll never have to ask for the cheapest price again!

      https://projectzerothree.info/prices.php

      • +5

genuinely amazed how El Grande found this thread but ignored everything about project03??

        • Not that amazing….. the IQ of any population can be represented as a bell curve, so by definition, 50% of people must be on the left of the the mean ;)

    • -5

Going to piggyback on this and ask when does everybody think 98 will drop back down?

Trend seems to be downwards and I've got two weeks until next fill.

      • +1

Let me check my crystal ball and I'll get back to you.

        • +1

Was only looking for opinions, of course I don't think anybody knows for sure. I've only been using the 7-11 app for a month and a half so I'm not quite in tune with their cycles yet.

          • @OZBMate8911: just have a read through of the thread..I think that's why you got negged

Most people want to be spoon fed info

            • @[Deactivated]: I have, and fair enough with the negs. Didn't put enough info in the original post.

It seems most use the ACCC price cycle stats to determine when is the best time to buy. However, as far as I can see it's very skewed due to the Australia Day long weekend price pump. Despite the ACCC saying now is the best time to buy, 98 prices has jumped 8c over the week (12c if you count the short period it was 117.9)

              • @OZBMate8911: It'll probably be a bit screwy the first half of the year, with School hold/Easter/Anzac over the last 3 weeks of April, plus NSw election at the end of March and Federal one in most likely end if May (or evem early June). May also have some impact.

          • @OZBMate8911:

I don't think anybody knows for sure

            There's your answer.

  • +11

    U95 - 112.9
    Hampton Park, VIC 3976

    • Nice… Time to fill the Jerry Cans!

  • The servo guy questioned me about my Hampton Park lock in price (he definitely knew what was going on) so i told him I did a trip down to New south wales during the week (:

    • +1

I don't show them the price, I scroll down so they only see the bar code on the screen. Works a treat.

    • +2

Most the 711s i go to the operators are like "wow thats a good lock bro, should have brought jerry cans". Then if they ask where I got it, I say I got it in Sydney. (since i live an hour away from Sydney theyre like yeah seems legit).

    • +4

Except Hampton Park is in VIC, not NSW.

      • The barcode doesn't show where you locked from

  • Melbourne servos are starting to bump their prices up for 91 above 140, so if using Coles/Woolies vouchers (plus flybuys or wish cards), better fill up.

    • +1

TGP is rising 0.2-0.5c per day..
      Doesn't really justify a 20c increase >=\
      Greedy servos

      • Coles was still 115.9, Caltex at 143.9, so nearly 30c!

        • +1

          Other way round here..
          Coles at 140.9c here
          Caltex still 117.4c :|

Hopefully this means people will start filling up all the 112.9s and the 7/11 fuel gods will answer our prayers with a fun P98 price!

  • +2

    Hampton Park (VIC) has increased it's 95 1.129 -> 1.559

    • +1

Damn it! I was planning to lock this morning but have been busy all day :(

      • Just filled up one car and as I was going to lock in for the other it changed :((

        • If you're quick, Fairfield East, Vic has 98 for $1.109

  • +31

    U98 - 110.9 Fairfield East Vic

      • yup

    • wow perfect timing :-)

You are absolutely amazing! Thanks :)

      • +1

165.5 at my local 7 eleven. Massive saving thanks

    • +4

Thanks for the post, now to watch the people post it on the front page to try to get upvotes I guess

      • Already posted
Shame it wasnt by the same poster assuming they were the first to find it

        • +1

It never is. Someone posts it here and then a 2nd person posts it to the main deals page.

  • I've just locked in the 98, if I go fill up now, can I lock it in again? Is there a limit to how often I can lock? Or is it as long as I dont have one, I can get another?

    • +3

Limit of 2 fuel locks per 24 hours

  • +2

Dunno if anything like this has been posted before, but I've been tracking my savings in a Google Sheet. Figured I'd post here so they can take a copy of it helps anyone.

It calculates the locked price and discount based on what appears on the receipt.

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11e2B3Zcd-HJUWzeBEvQl…

    • +6

This will be of great use to any potential stalkers of yours out there.

  • I'm just curious - what prompted the price of P98 to match or even go lower than P91 sometimes? Don't tell me it's due to the servo was out of P91 and had to sell P98 at P91 price, because recently, my local 7Eleven was out of E10 and P91 and only stocked P98 but they were still selling the P98 at their original retail price. I would think that there's no way the store be able to provide you with P98 at cheaper price because they would be losing money.

    • That's what happens apparently.
Your local 7Eleven must be funny then.

  • -1

Damn app won’t let me top up, and I’m running the latest version of the app on an iPhone XS Max that has never been jailbroken or anything. (Error Code: Harry) Anyone know what this means, couldn’t find any mention of it in the thread? Then I tried three different 7-Eleven stores for a gift card, and they were clueless as how to process a gift card sale. It seems like they are really making it hard for me to give them money!

The last time I successfully purchased a gift card in store, the attendant was pushing buttons for what felt like five minutes, before they eventually got it to work. Does anyone know what their POS process is to explain how to add funds to a gift card?

    • you probably have a CCV that starts with 0?

    • -1

Does anyone know what their POS process is to explain how to add funds to a gift card?

So that you can teach the attendant on the spot?

  • Does anyone know the reason why I can't add a credit card to my account? wanted to lock in current fuel but won't have a chance to go to 7 11 until after work.

    • Didn't work for me with either account and not with nox either. I'm suspicious.

      • Same happened to me once…waited 6 hours and it started working again. Was right after the 1.7 update if that helps at all.

    • I ended up going to a 7/11 and got a giftcard and locked in the 98 for 110.9 :D

But yeh, a bit worrying about the error.

      • Guess what, Just tried added my card to the account. It's letting me do it now……

        • +1

dont use 7/11 credit. just pay by card.

  • +7

So within the last 30 days there has been 1906 API requests as of now on https://fuel.ethergroup.com.au

500 of those were within the last 12 hours.

    • +3

I don't use it personally (prefer the modified APK) but you're providing a great service. Kudos.

      • Going to get negged to oblivion.. because some selfish people believe any publicity will destroy our secret.

Actual truth: only OzBargainers are bothered to save $10-$15 every week per car.

        • +2

That's $500+ a year. Almost pays for rego. And I have the convenience of filling up wherever whenever and I can ignore the pump price.

Also many people have multiple cars

          • +4

@Levathian: You'd be surprised at the amount of people who claim they can't be bothered..

            • +1

@cwongtech: Yup. Deals where you save 50c/L are pretty rare but I do think it's a great app.

I did try to explain it to my family but they can't be bothered checking the site haha

              • @Levathian: Same here. I told my workmate, even I send voucher screenshot. She is scared.

              • @Levathian: I've considered setting up a script for myself that checks a certain few servos every 3 hours or so that constantly runs out of fuel or has cheap fuel and if the price is less than a value (say < $1.15 for 98) it locks in the price for me.

I'm honestly surprised more people haven't done stuff with the script/program I released, at least not publicly since all of the code to lock in and check a fuel price is in it.

          • +3

@Levathian: Since most people are at tax marginal rate of 32.5% plus 2% medicare levy, it actually saves you a taxable income of $750+.

In Australia, saving effect is magnified as the tax rate is high.

          • +1

@Levathian: +1 for convenience. Previously had to factor in location for independents or woolies vouchers and time the cycle. Now it's streamlined to just scan at any 7-11 at any day of the week. Plus enjoy my free coffee every month 👍

      • Regarding the modified apk method…do I use that in combination with a fake GPS app? What are the preferred apps for this?

        • +2

Yes. All it does is remove the mock location check and (probably) remove the check to see if your phone is rooted.

So you either need 2 different apps installed or use the above link to reduce the hassle of searching/finding a GPS coordinate with your fake GPS app and then locking in. The above link will automatically lock in the cheapest fuel it can and the maximum litres your account allows.

          • @Freighter: oh okay awesome…think i prefer the simplicity of the website then.

Does the website do this with api's or something? Is the source code open, wouldn't mind having a look? All good if its not, just thought I'd ask.

            • @IdBuyThat4aDollar: Yep. Pretty much it just emulates the app. It's completely open-source, so you can happily modify it to do something else you prefer (like automatically login when you load the website etc).

          • @Freighter: Can I have a link to this apk please?

You have saved me more money than our Government.

        • +1

Ha! When I released the first modified APK on here one member who seems to be bloody active on OzBargain wanted to send me the savings their mum made on her first fuel purchase, it felt like a weird suggestion to get money for such a simple modification to an app.

  • +3

@Freighter made some changes, i also downsized the VM it was running on as it was going to hit the $200+/ month Azure credit i have and start costing me.
So It's been downgraded to a $13/m VM which is costing me nothing, just don't need to worry about it starting to cost anything.

Please let us know if any issues are occurring for you.

    • +3

Dynamic duo! We solved the problem we had and it should be running smoothly again. Full steam ahead - choochoo!

  • just had a weird issue with my workmate who I showed the website method too a while back.

She has successfully locked in previously for a few weeks, but today when she tried to lock in ULP at 110.9 the website gave an error of can't lock in as the price is higher than the cheapest price found at postcode 3042 (or words to that effect).

So we tried doing a manual lock, by putting in that postcode and it successfully locked, but at a price of 142.9!!!! Which is heaps higher than even our actual local price. So weird.

    • Niddrie just went up, so might've been an error related to that?

      • yea, just reading a few comments above it seems that VIC is on a dramatic upward move at the moment, so it is very possible.

    • Same thing happened to me. Looks like the issue occurs where the price has changed but Project Zero Three hasn't yet updated.

      • That's what happens. Because the price script only updates every 3-4 hours it isn't always showing the correct cheapest price (like what happened in the post above). Perhaps I should add a confirmation page for the manual search after it starts the lock in procedure but I'm not sure yet how it should or would look, and we had other ideas to implement first.

        • +5

It actually is set to update every 1-2 hours. It's currently down because I'm making tweaks which include 2nd and 3rd best prices.

          • @master131: That's a great idea. I'm not an IT person but is there a way to display if the cheapest price is trending downwards or upwards? Or at least the previous movement is up or down?

Dont worry if it's a hard thing to figure out. Thanks for your mastery :)

          • @master131: Love the updates! Thanks. Especially the trend graph.

  • Quite rare when I don't have to lock in a interstate price!

  • +2

Ive got a U95 @ 114.9 for 45 litres, expires tomorrow 12pm, if anyone wants it, first in first serve.

  • +2

Being running my late model 150 kwatt car on 98 after locking in recent prices

Fuel economy is the same as 91 unleaded. Performance is the same and if there is a difference probaly marginal

Can someone explain to me why this fuel is so popular. Unless you own a high powered sports car or the manufacturer stipulates you use a high octane then this is money down the drain.

    • Because people can be easily fooled by their fallible memory.

    • People think it's much cleaner for their engine to warrant the price.

      • Yeah my local mechanic reckons it's just cleaner. Showed me the carbon build up on the spark plugs. But I'm always unsure with mechanics how much is true and how much is just heresay. I've heard many stories over the years about which brand of fuel is better, that E10 is full of impurities and water, that Ford's are better then Holden's and that Toyota's are Jap-Crap, etc etc

Anyway I switched and I reckon the acceleration is noticeably better. Economy is marginally better. But when its been only a few cents more, I'm happy to use it. But if it's 8c+ more I won't bother. If 95 is 5c+ more I won't bother.

    • +1

Would help if you specified exactly which model car you are driving. But, yes, the performance benefit is mainly for high performance cars that are tuned to run on higher octane fuels. Don't expect to feel much difference if you are driving a Corolla, although the additives in P98 do help to maintain a clean fuel system.

      • -3

Didn’t specify car as I Don’t want to be identified lol

My car does 0-100 mid 6 secs which is faster then your average car. My fuel says use 91. Only ever used 95ron when e10 was the other option.
If I need better performance i just push the pedal bit further

        • How would you be identified by telling us what car you drive?

          • +1

@billy_bob: Must be 80K high yield investment vehicle

          • +1

@billy_bob: Yeah I don't see how that is possible but I'm curious now lol

            • @tarken: I know my cars and am just curious to know what car with around 150kW can do 0-100 in 6.5 seconds, and runs on 91 fuel. I'm guessing it's a hot hatch like a Golf GTi or something, but I'm pretty sure they specify 95 octane fuel.

              • @billy_bob: Veloster turbo, Elantra SR, i30 SR, Cerato Koup perhaps?

                • @shiznit: You might be right, but no way any of those are doing 0-100 in 6.5 seconds.

        • Just tell what car it is or it’s not real.

    • this is money down the drain.

Unless you get it at 91 price :D

    • If your car is tuned to run on 91, you won't get much extra gains running it on 98.
One area which 98 is better for any car is the lower sulfur content of 98 (50ppm) vs 91 (150ppm)
I only use 98 because my car specifies 95 and then I upped the boost so pretty much needs 98 to prevent knocking.

      • Is there any way to tell what cars are tuned to run on what fuel? I’ve 2012 Mazda CX-5

        • +1

Supercharged and Turbo charged engines usually require a higher octane fuel.

Your fuel cap lid should also specify minimum requirements.

Not sure if that answers your question.

        • Your fuel cap lid should also specify minimum requirements.

          +1

Open up the little petrol cover, there should be a little sticker that says minimum RON required or even E10 suitable

The sticker was labelled by the manufacturer, so whatever they designed the engine to use.. just use that.

    • Car requires minimum u95….u98 is cheaper than u95 at times so why not :)

      • +1

^^ This, plus none of the 7/11's near me even stock 95. I found that out the hard way.

        • Yeah i went to one the other week where only one bowser had 95…whicb5 is what i had locked in. Teach me for not using local one

    • Just get the fuel that your car requires. Unless 95/98 is cheap as 91, it's not worth it.
It's a marginal difference for regular cars.
There have been some experiments, can't find the article but it's pretty straight forward.
If the economy gain % is great than or equal to price % then buy, which was about 4% 91 to 98.
      Similar to 91 and e10.
Only get e10 if price is less than or equal to 91 by 4%.
Percentages may vary dependent on vehicle.

Wonder what would happen if it were to be plotted against national average..

  • +1

@master131 would it be possible to set up price alerts with a "if this then that" formula?

i.e. If the price of 98 is within 6c of 91 then send me an alert

    • The feature is already there. Subscribe to the alert

      • It isn't. You can't do a compare against another price, it only lets you hard code values.

Just got grilled by attendant about my lock-in price. Called it a scam. He said that the lock-in price was never that low around here. Wanted to know where it was locked in, I said Victoria. He didn’t believe me. He was rude, even touched my phone to move the screen up and down. I told him not to touch my phone. He said he was going to take my details “ to report it to head office” ( his words) I Didn’t give the details. Asked for my details again. I said no. He was not bringing up the payment on the eftpos so I could pay saying he wanted my details again, I refused ,So I said this is legal lock-in and that I wanted to pay and “ are you refusing to let me pay” , all of this in front of several customers. He then let me pay , and I left after getting my receipt. He then chased me out, after serving the next customer I suppose, to write down my rego..
    Lock-in price 110.9 for 98.
Will not go back to that station again. He was rude.

    • +6

      Wow what a farce

      Definitely report him to 711.

My attendant didn't bat an eye when I paid with my lock in

      • +9

You need a local to go to. I bet he was Indian?

Don't want to sound racist but did have an unpleasant experience.

I had an Indian chasing me on foot while I was driving, waving his hands on the air, told me to pay. Thought I did a drive off.

Had to show my receipt. Didn't even apologise. Just looked sorry and disappointed. I was just in the store man.

We have a nice lady at ours. She's sweet. Likes when we get a good fuel lock.

    • I feel you my dude! The attendant yesterday said that there was a 'system issue' and that it would take a few hours to fix? Not sure if he was bluffing? He said that if he scanned my voucher, the system would freeze?

He said that I should contact 7-11 support and they will credit my account. U98 110.9. I had to pay full price in-store as he wouldn't even try scanning my voucher…Price was 160 for U98 at the time…What a big waste of money and time!

I feel like now that my account will get banned. Fingers crossed it doesn't!

      • +1

Telling the truth. Froze for me too. Sent a missed fuel lock and got a top up on my account within a day.

        • Was yours genuine though? I am in NSW so I feel like it will be suss! I sent them an email already…No reply yet

          • +1

@knight321: All I can say it was a great fuel lock when I was in Morisset. The day after it worked as well. They were having issues. It's not because of you.

            • +1

@Korban Dallas: Great! Yeah I was fully cooperating with him, and paid accordingly. It just annoyed me that after filling up I get advised that there was an issue aha.

      • +1

Froze for me too. Paid full price and chased up missed discount. Credited amount in less than 24 hours. No problems, easy as.

        • Fingers crossed I get it too! Sent an email 12 am today. Lets see what happens :)

    • +3

Just tell him not his business and the app is not designed in the way this idiot described. It can only pick up the lowest price around a neighbourhood area however it does not mean the lowest price in a neighbourhood cannot used anywhere else in Australia where 7-11 is available so he is just an idiot. It could be you were travelling in another state where the price happens to be much lower than your home state - nothing wrong about it at all.

As to asking your personal details request, a completely idiot.

      • +1

        Completely right.
This fool is acting WAY out of his range.
Anybody can 'catch' any good local price they see driving around and lock it in. There is nothing area-dependent about the price ever.
        He needs to be reported.

    • +12

      I feel you.
This happened to me in Victoria the time it was 0.01cents for 95 petrol.
The attendant started filming me because his boss said not to accept it. He said he was going to press the button that they press when someone doesn't pay for their fuel.
I then took my phone and filmed him saying my app was fake and him abusing me.. I then said I won't use the fuel lock voucher and just the credit on the app as I don't have my wallet, he kept saying the money was fake on the app too. I ended up using my credit card and took down his details - he was very proud to give his name too.

So I took it up to head office 7/11 the next day(took them a while to reply) but the lady on the line was very sympathetic and I told them I have video evidence. She gave me the whole transaction for free (as it should be) And I said if I see that staff member working there again, I'll post the video. I still go there often and I haven't seen him since!

  • wow I never had any issues. I show only the barcode, not the lock-n price.

    • Yes I was just showing the code. I think now he thought I had somehow scammed the app as I had been there several times beforehand with great lock-in prices. On another thought is he was jealous that I had a low lock-in and he could not get it. P

    • How do you show the barcode and not the lock-in price? The "voucher" covers the screen with the lock-in price at the top and the barcode below. Unless you cover the price with your hand?

And anyway the system tells them how much you saved so it's not difficult to work out (roughly) what the price differential must have been, even if they don't see the lock-in price on the screen.

      • +1

Once it tells you how much is saved, it's all already been paid for so if they ask questions you can just say thanks and walk out.

Edit: just checked the screen with barcode, yeah, doesn't look like there's a way to hide price unless you screenshot and crop. It's a pretty crappy thing for them to hound customers where people got the lock prices from. Especially when they clearly dgaf when we ask them to get freebies from the back room.

        • +1

Split screen so that only the barcode could be seen.
Attendant always asks me what price i locked in, which means they can't see the locked in price on their monitor.

          • @zah: Thanks zah. Split screen is the answer. I don't usually use split screen but I see how it works. Not that I have ever had any trouble at 7/11.

      • Maybe it depends what phone you have? On my s7 I can conveniently scroll down so all they see is the barcode and then the saving.

        • Same here with my Mi6. Attendant nearly fell over when he saw the discount lol

  • Thanks everyone. Will take your advice and stories on board. Hope no one else has to suffer this experience. cheers

Haha I have three accounts. Had two locked in at $1.10 for 98. On the way home from work I filled up my car, got home, changed shirt then went with folks to fill up their car at the servo. Arrived back 30mins later, same pump, same fuel, same attendant, same phone with lockin- I don't think they even noticed. Didn't say anything.

  • Waiting for another good price lock

    • I dont see why the negative votes… 3 of my local servos are cheaper this week so it's not worth me price locking

  • +45

I'm seeing a lot of comments around negative behaviour of 7-Eleven staff when shown a cheap 'lock in; price. As a manager at a corporate 7 eleven store, I can confirm that the company pays for the discount, not the individual franchise store. The commission a store makes on fuel is 4c/L flat regardless of a fuel discount or not.

Furthermore, I'd encourage you guys to send a complaint to our customer service at 1800 247 711 if a store gave you a bad experience. 7-Eleven representatives should honor your coupon regardless where you locked it in from. :)

    • Thanks. by the way are you gonna report us for using fake location :-)

I just happened to be in the right place at the right time.

An odd thing happen to the modified 7 eleven app. My primary account with a locked in price disappear when i logged out of the account, log in to a secondary account and re-logged to my primary account. Anyone experience it?

    • Nope.

    • Not sure about the modified app, but in unmodified, you can view your lock history in your settings.

It will say what price you had lock for and when it was redeemed/expired.

      • Thanks. Realized what happen now, it expired on 12.27pm.

  • Looking in to this website https://fuel.ethergroup.com.au/, I believe it can only lock in 10L of fuel? It doesn't have the option on how many L you can lock in.

    • +5

Mine locks in the max amount of litres that my credit amount allows

  • Do you guys change your password everytime you use https://fuel.ethergroup.com.au/ or do you keep it the same unique password?

    • well.. ideally you should. but then it depends how much you trust people.

    • +1

I believe the password isn’t sent to the servers it’s all done client side so it shouldn’t be an issue.

      • That's absolutely true.. And person may be trustworthy.. But things can change at anytime.. so if you want to be cautious change it, theres no harm in doing that and takes a mintue. Saying that.. it's all on you.

      • +2

It most definitely is sent to the server. Fuel locking cannot be achieved client-side in a browser due to CORS restrictions. This mechanism prevents web requests to servers (7-Eleven) that do not explicit give permission to websites (like Ethergroup) to access their (7-Eleven's) content.

just add credit on your phone and lock using bluestacks in that case

      • I guess my greater concern was they were on to me and the next step might be to freeze my whole account with funds on it. I was also wondering if it could just be an error rather than a block.

A little bit of an update for those who use my Python script for themselves or the public version of the online fuel locker (https://fuel.ethergroup.com.au), I have added a page that lets you verify the price of a manual lock in. It should be working completely fine but if there is an error let me know. It's a little complicated to work with the lock in page with only one account :o)

So the step now is this:
    -> Log in as usual
-> Click either automatic or manual.
-> Automatic will automatically (try to) lock in the most amount of fuel for the cheapest price of your fuel type the project zero three page says.
-> Manual lets you choose your own postcode*/suburb and then it will land you on a confirmation page where it will tell you the price it found. If you continue it will then lock in the maximum amount of fuel you can.
—-> If you don't like that price and want to search for a different suburb just press cancel.

-> Now that you have locked in a price you should logout.

*I'll work on the multiple postcode bug a bit later. I have an idea on how to solve it, I just have to find the time to do it. The bug refers to if you try to lock in in a postcode with multiple suburbs it makes an error i.e. 2200 for Bankstown in Sydney

    • Does anyone have any tips on how to build this python script as a simple Docker container?
I had a bit of a play around with compiling for Docker on my DS916+ Synology but couldn't get it to work.
Ideally I'd like to set the script up as a Docker container and run 24/7 with the Flask internal port mapped to an arbitrary external port. Thinking this would then basically be the same as the fuel.ethergroup.com website but running as local version on my local network.

      • PM me I might be able to help.

    • I currently get the folllwing error after logging in using my 7/11 credentials:

      Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request. Either the server is overloaded or there is an error in the application.

    • mate, what do we need to do when you get this error.

Edit settings.py so that the APP_VERSION is "1.8.0.2027".

You can also download the latest version of the script if you want, it has new features since this post was made.

On Android try this: type in cd FuelLock or whatever the name of the folder where the script is downloaded into.
Then type in nano settings.py - this will open up a text editor.

You'll need to scroll down until you see APP_VERSION. To do that, you'll have to hold the Volume UP button and press the s key for down and the press the d key for right. (Imagine the W A S D as an up/down/left/right keys on a keyboard).

Then change the APP_VERSION, press the ctrl button above the keyboard and tap the letter X , it should prompt you to save the file. Press Y for yes, then press enter.

        Now run the script again.

        • Thanks! You are really a genius. Great work!

G.W. seem to go cheap very often- I'm guessing high traffic and cheaper fuels being sold out, then they mark down the Premium fuels?

  • Thanks Andyman1908,

Just read through the guide at the beginning of this post, and set-up automatic notification emails. Works a treat.

    • No probs, that's where I got made aware of it too!

  • Hey guys, since the android update what's everyone's work around to take location? I seem to be no longer able to trick the maps or 7/11 app into a location. Uninstalling updates on Google play services no longer works. Help!

    • +1

https://fuel.ethergroup.com.au/ login with your 7-11 app credentials

      • Thanks mate, I just did. Because I already have a look it displays that. How does it work when no lock is active?

        • +1

It lets you lock the price by selecting the fuel type automatically selecting the best available price. There is a manual option as well where you can select the suburb.

        • +2

So the step now is this:
          -> Log in as usual

That's how it works. Eventually I'll write a guide on the site on how to lock in but I think it's fairly straightforward.

You may need to logout and then re-login on the app for the voucher to show up

          • @Freighter: Thanks heaps mate. You're a life saver. Haha

          • @Freighter:

Eventually I'll write a guide on the site on how to lock in but I think it's fairly straightforward.

        • +1

Looks like Hampton Park (vic) has 95 for 123.9

The TGP keeps rising (up over a cent since fri & 2c on the week). I wonder if they're gearing up for a drop in time for the NSW election on the 23rd?

          • @[Deactivated]: TGP shouldn't be controlled by politics?
Or are you speculating it might drop.. :D

            • @cwongtech: Wildly speculation. With the banking Royal Commission, I wonder if the petroleum industry is concerned that they're on the radar (it'd be pretty popular with the voters). They can blame falling $Au, Singapore refinery prices , whatever, but we are one of the few countries in the world which have such wild pricing cycles.

Look at the retail price of Caltex in Singapore, it's fluctuated a cent or two since 1 Jan

              http://www.chenlim.com/fuel/

Yet we have these large pricing cycles which as fair as I can tell aren't related to anything to do with costs.

              • @[Deactivated]: Overseas Asian countries don't have much fuel fluctuations due to govt regulations.
Most of the fuel is sold by state owned enterprises controlled by sovereign wealth.

In aus, not sure if it's related to discounting. So either 130c daily or… 115c to 145c range. In other words, the high peak subsidises the cheap troughs.

$3 box of shapes but I'd rather pay for $1.50. Otherwise aldi sells it daily for $2.20. It's a hungry example.

          • @[Deactivated]: The AUD has fallen slightly against the USD so I guess that has helped push prices up a bit :(

            • +1

@Levathian: Yeah i accept the price (or the price cycle bottoms) are increasing.

The price has been fairly stable for the past 10days or so, which is unusual. So I was wondering (speculating) if they're holding so they can co-incidentally drop around NSW election and then maybe the same for the federal election (which will come after the expect high in the price cycle around the School Hols-Easter-ANZAC holiday period.

              • @[Deactivated]: The federal government can't control the TGP/wholesale price though? Isn't it just set by free market conditions?

                • +1

@Levathian: In theory they could, but they don't (I'm happy with that). I think the price cycles are fairly unique to Australia.

anyway I was just wondering loudly if the current cycle lows would co-incide with elections.

    • Can't see it.

      Must have gone back up.

  • I had an issue today where the cashier scanned the voucher and it printed a little receipt saying "scan/lock invalid" or something to that effect. I didn't push the subject, just paid for the fuel at the normal price and left.

But just wondering if this was just a little glitch, where he should have just scanned the bar-code again? or if maybe 7/11 are starting to smarten up?

I locked it a few days ago in a Victorian location (not that far from where I tried to use it).

    • I had no issue today, locked to VIC and filled up in NSW.

    Badda bing, badda boom!

I've updated the Github repo this morning with a few changes. One fixes that stupid bug that when you locked in it would error. It was caused by getting rid of the session variables too early, so now they are removed just before it redirects to the index page after locking in.

Second one was something I've wanted to do for a while (it turned out easier than expected actually). Now the first time you run the script it should download a file called "stores.json" into the folder you are running the script from. Now when you do a manual lock in it will search the stores.json file for the postcode you entered (i.e. 3106 for Templestowe this morning) and then it will use the coordinates from that store and with a few minor alterations (so you are still in proximity to it) and then show you the confirmation page.
Also, someone wanted a Dockerfile. Here's a stupidly simple one that seems to run fine on my NAS. I'm sure it can be easily modified and probably needs to be but it works.

As always you can view a live version minus a semi-average CSS styling sheet at Schema's site —> link to online lock in.

Any other feedback let me know.

    • Is it possible to add a feature to cancel a current lock ?

      • +2

That would have to somehow simulate the message sent from the 7/11 store to the 7/11 server telling them the voucher has been used..
Not sure if even possible :O

      • +1

Not from the app. There was at one stage an API call that said the code was used but it seems to be invalid now

    • +2

      Thanks Freighter, you're a legend!

Managed to get the Dockerfile to work on my Synology. Note the linked Dockerfile on your repo is missing a closing parathesis ] at the end of line 11. Once I fixed this I was able to compile and run the image.

Brief howto for anyone interested: Copied the app zip file to a folder called fuelapp, added in my api details to app.py, compiled using docker via ssh - change into fuelapp directory, and then run 'docker build -t fuelapp .' without '
Used Synology docker GUI to launch the image created and mapped external port of my choice to internal port 5000. Browsed to nas-ip:PORT and app is running!

      • Ah, thanks! I'll update it now. Is that the reason why the Diskstation Manager doesn't install it and I had to SSH into my box to install it manually?

        • I don’t think there is a way to compile a docker image using a Dockerfile in DiskStation manager. Once I’d compiled it from command line ( docker build -t fuelapp . ) it then showed up in DiskStation manager’s Docker app as an image, I then clicked Launch on the fuelapp image under the Images tab of the Docker app and set my port mapping. After that it started as a container and has been running fine since.
Note you need to have root access via ssh to use the docker command which is achieved by sudo -i and also have cd into the directory where the dockerfile and app files are located to compile the image. In my instance it was cd /volume1/docker/fuelapp

      • I can't seem to get it working. Are you able PM the instructions?

    • +1

You should be on the Ozbargain hall of fame!

      Thanks!!

      • +1

Along with Tightarse and JV? Ha!

    • Can this one be installed into my google cloud? Maybe Google app engine?

      • I assume so. If it can run the 3 extra requirements and send requests to external websites I don't see why it won't work.

    • As always, love your work.

Feedback wise, and I'm not sure if this has already been suggested - after screwing myself out of the 120.9 U98 tonight I was thinking about running a local version that automatically locks a price in if it falls below a preset price/certain %ge below the local 7-11.

Would this be hard to implement?

      • +3

        As always, love your work.

        Thanks!

running a local version that automatically locks a price in if it falls below a preset price/certain %ge below the local 7-11.

That would be easy enough. You only need to login once I think as long as your access token and device secret are active then you shouldn't have any issues. If you want to try and hack a script up by yourself then you pretty much just follow this pseudo code:

        -> login to your account
-> while(True) <—- (so we are in an infinite loop)
-> Either search the script in the OP for the cheapest price or query your 'favourite' stores every hour or so (I think a maximum or 10-15 stores run out of unleaded quite often).
-> if price <= your maximum (say $1.20)
-> lock in the price, otherwise sleep(30 minutes)

Otherwise hopefully tomorrow afternoon I can write you something up. I'll upload all of the API calls that I have bothered to convert to Python on my Github page hopefully tonight or tomorrow after I clean the code up a bit.

        • @freighter how do we do auto login?

    • Does this work on mac osx/iphone?

      • Yes. It's browser based so it is OS/mobile platform independent. That's a reason why I made it.

It should run natively on OSX too if Python is installed by default (I think it is)

  • +5

Fuel prices have shot to $1.50 in Brisbane and I can still lock in 91 for < $1.20. This app really shines in times like this.

    Ive subbed to patreon, cheers.

    • +5

Agreed. I saved close to 50c per litre yesterday on 98!

      • +1

Agreed! Saved around $20 yesterday on 95 fuel (filled up 40 litres) :)

  • For people who use the website to lock, occasionally you get an "500 server error". After that, the 7-11 app refuses to update the lock or even find cheap fuel nearby. What fixed it for me (android), was to clear the app data from the settings, reboot the phone( probably not necessary) then log in again to the app. The locked price should load in a few seconds.

I suspect this happens because the 7-11 app is in the background when the website tries to fuel lock. In order to avoid this in the future, I'd clear it from the recent apps list whilst getting a lock from a web based service.

    • +3

For people who use the website to lock, occasionally you get an "500 server error".

Interesting. Does it come up with an "oh no! 500 error" message or something? I should try and add proper error handling so you guys can tell me what the error(s) actually are!

With the 7-11 app not updating the lock, the app itself polls their servers for a fuel lock when you first open the app if you are already logged in, and if you aren't then when you do login. And then every 3600000 milliseconds (so once an hour) after that.

I usually just logout and relogin to get my fuel lock to show up.

      • @Freighter just curious, do our passwords saved on any database ?

        • +2

Nope. The only log that shows up is when the script was started. We/I don't log any usernames or passwords or IP addresses. The only metric we have of tracking how many lock ins were made was through Google Maps API but now I edited how the coordinates for lock ins are made that metric is next to useless

      • I usually just logout and relogin to get my fuel lock to show up.

Force close via opening in multi task view a couple of times in android and iOS usually works too

    • +1

Just logging in and out of the app fixes this. Correct in assuming it's because the app was running in the background.

  • +1

    Hi All.

For some reason, Microsoft has closed my Azure account (The account that https://fuel.ethergroup.com.au is being run on)
It seems to still be running at this time, aswell as my other services i'm hosting with Azure.

So depending on the cost of the VM, i may or may not run it up again if it goes down. (I don't want to be out of pocket)

But this is all dependent if it goes down (hopefully it doesn't) and I'm trying to speak to Microsoft to get it re-instated and figure out what has happened.

    • +9

What is the cost of a VM?
Maybe we can all chip in considering we are all benefiting from it?

      • +1

Still looking into options at the moment, I don't like what Microsoft has done and just made it vanish without any notification, was going to do some maintenance on it and had come across it.

        1) I'd be looking at a cheaper one to start out ($5-10ish), and if it becomes a pain in the ass / slow etc i'd be looking to scale it up to a better VM ($15-20)

        2) To be honest, i'd also be looking to host my personal domain on it (low resources), and possibly redirecting the url of the fuel locker to a subdomain on it, as i don't want to renew the ethergroup domain to reduce costs.

        • +1

My azure VM was hitting the $200/month in resources which was super overkill, but was making it flow nicely.

Currently on the phone to Microsoft as they called me back to investigate further, will keep updated on what i'll be looking at doing.

    • +4

I'm happy to chip into a VM too.

      better late than never ;)

  • 40L of 95 @ 123.9 - PM in case you need

    • Hi, when is the expiry?

    • I just PMd you. Cheers 😀

  • +3

Google closed all my API projects now, after my issue with Azure..
So it may not lock fuel with the web portal until i replace the API, i dont have access to a PC at the moment to fix it.

    • +1

For the most part it shouldn't be a problem for many users since we've moved to using the stores.json file. But when you sort it out it'll be good to have again!

P.s you have horrible luck with your Google API!

    • Do you know who is the developer for this ether vm?? How can I chip in few $$$ to support him??

  • +2

YO I just saved $18+ on a tank of 98.

That's a years worth of Patreon in one hit for master131 so I've just subscribed. Thanks for your work mate.

    • +1

Only Just realized master has a patreon.. I'll also subscribe for this invaluable service

  • Can anyone comment why the price of 91 seem to be climbing higher and higher, when previously it was around 10 - 20c less ?

    • +3

Global fuel price going up again.. TGP has risen from like $1.10 up to $1.29/L and going up.

    • +1

The reason isn't so much the $au or the price of (tapis) crude oil, but mostly the refineries are increasing profit margins.

Have a squiz at this graph.

      https://www.aip.com.au/pricing/international-prices/internat…

In the first graph, The blue is the price of oil, the green is the price of (refinery) ULP. You can see in late Feb, the refineries were selling 95 for less then the price of crude oil. Then you can see in March they're decided to make some money (not that they were losing money, because they had bought the fuel under contract at a lower price).

      • What can we do about it? We get screwed by everyone.

        • Buy a Tesla :)

        • Cheaper alternatives to Tesla are Nissan Leaf or Hyundai Ioniq.

        • +2

Keep locking in the cheapest fuel in Oz ;-)

Saved $26.4 today on U98 locked # 1.23. Even the attendant was impressed.

    • Yup same here saved $24.3.

Saved $37 last night and attendant was impressed too

    Hey Guys,

When i was having issues the other day with my Azure Hosting for the https://fuel.ethergroup.com.au site, a few mentioned that they'd be happy to possibly chip-in for a new server for when Azure closes it properly (They did the same thing to me AGAIN a few days ago, and spent a couple hours getting it back) - So i'd say the end is near for my Azure service and i will need to start looking into an alternative, possibly running one side-by-side as a "backup" site for when the Azure one goes down, which i think will possibly be soon, as two times now i've had to have "paid" incident requests to have my service restored (2 out of 3 have been activated (Free) )

I'm assuming i've setup this Patreon correctly and whilst the service to use is free, and always will be - It would be appreciated (You're not obliged) to chip in for a hosting service for this site to run without any downtime.

Thank you for supporting the web portal & Freighter along this journey.

Just as a FYI - Over the last few months, every time 98 drops to a decent price (15c) or lower, it seems 1k+ People lock in that same night, so i believe we've hit over 7-10k+ Lock-Ins in just a few small months.

    https://www.patreon.com/join/fuelportal/

    Thanks again all,
    Schema.

((Migrating to a new VM now)) - Vanished again and am over Microsofts antics, may be down for a few hours - Sorry for any inconvenience.

      • +1

Mate it’s no inconvenience. You’re doing an awesome service to people! Will definitely chip in for this!
        Cheers

    • Done! Shoot me a PM if you need more than that each month.

      • Thank you, Appreciate it!

    • +6

I just came across this thread. I know it's not much, but I put $1 a month. Someone shared the website with me and it was down so I had a dig around to see why and here I am. Keep up the good work!

      • Thank you mate! - Sorry, Having issues with the auto-redirection due to the server issues.

  • Hi mate, I can get through to login page, but user name and password keeps returning Oops, page

    Is it still down??

  • Not sure how I let this happen but my 98 at 123.9 expired while I was waiting for my tank to go down a bit so I could fill up and now somehow its super expensive. Where is waverley gardens when you need it?

    • Same thing happened to me!

    • +4

Not sure how I let this happen but my 98 at 123.9 expired

The 7 day expiration is very giving for those who drive regularly. Even if you don't, the app gives you a 48 hour reminder notification that your voucher is going to expire.

    • I thought I was the only one… My voucher just disappeared, normally it notifies me if it's about to expire 1-2 days beforehand.

  • Do you have to set the reminder? I haven't seen that

    • Maybe just need to enable notifications for the app from your phone Settings. I get it. I also get notifications for new offers and when people are “locking in around me”.

  • +6

    Hi Schema,

Check your inbox. I'm happy to put the whole VM on my Azure account and fund it provided it doesn't exceed a certain size.

    Let me know.

    • Just responded mate :)

  • How do I log in? I tried my email and password from patreon but didn’t work.

    • With your 7/11 account details.

Going to put instructions on the webpage possibly tomorrow, seems it's getting traffic from outside of Ozbargain and it's not really self explanatory what it is, apart from the webpage title.

      • Is it possible to show the prices even with a fuel lock? I don't know if I should use my voucher with 1 litre so I don't miss out on a good deal. It's hugely annoying not being able to see the best prices once I've locked in a price!

        • For example, if I lock in at 127.9 and it's not great but it's better than 134.5, I'm stuck not being able to check for 7 days unless I use it at 127.9, meanwhile I might have missed a 123.9 in that time. I could go out 50c in and use the 127.9 voucher then lock in 123.9 and fill up using that

          • @NoApostrophePlurals: make a second account?

            • @mmd: Sure, that's one way to do it, but implementing this change would be far easier. I do log in with my girlfriends account that has no price lock. I just screenshot my account lock if I need to and send that to her. it's just a request.

              • @NoApostrophePlurals: I'll see what i can do.

              • @NoApostrophePlurals: I've implemented it to show up when locked in, probably not the nicest way of doing it - but i don't want to spend a long time on it either, enjoy :)

        • +4

Why not just look it up on the projectzerothree site? Link in the OP in case you missed it.

  • +6

    Fuel Locker is down! :(

  • Merged from How Do You Use The 7 Eleven Price Locker in Different Locations?

Hey everyone I just wanted to ask a quick question. So before I used to be using this website to lock in prices around Australia to my 7/11 app:

    https://fuel.ethergroup.com.au/

Recently, this website has been down and it doesn't work anymore :(
I just wanted to ask If there was any other way to lock in prices around Australia. I have tried using fake gps but when I open the app it gives an error saying something like this:
You are using a fake location
    and then it doesn't work

    Any help is much appreciated
    Thank you all!!!

    • +5
      • +1

        Thank you very very much!!!
Appreciate it very much, have a good day! :)

      • I don't know if someone's already mentioned this but is that alternate site run by someone here too?

I've always used the first link if I'm out and about or Nox if I'm at home.

    • +3

Go read the thread you got that link from in the first place …

      • Keen to have a read as well. Could you post a link to the thread?
        Thanks

        • Where did you get that web link in the first place?

Someone sharing that link around outside ozbargain I assume (and taking credit for others work?)

          • @SBOB: The only other site that has linked to my GitHub repo was a Chinese bargain site. So unless they've advertised on there, then it's possible.

          • @SBOB: If you're asking me…I didn't get any web link. I merely replied to a comments by you on a forum post started by someone else.

  • +1

    Hi everyone,

I seem to get this glitch today "The fuel price is too high compared to the cheapest available. The cheapest we found was at 2322. Try locking in there!" on the auto mode. I can lock in on manual with the same suburb code for a slightly higher price. Any fix around this?

    Thanks for the wonderful website.

    • Lock in earlier 😅.

The automatic mode should find the cheapest price available (according to project three zero - is there another name for that site?), If what 7-Eleven says the pump price is is more expensive than 11/7 then it won't lock in.

      • haha… nice one.. :P

Well, the website is down now for maintenance.. so I'm hoping it comes back online soon for more savings :)

        • Yep 7-11 app still down for maintenance, hope their not deploying defensive countermeasures.
Not that there should be anything to defend against but…

          • @Global Nomad: Still down. That's some maintenance. I smell a rat! Lose my previous price lock tonight now :(

  • I used the apk, but tried to install it on my new phone but it is now requiring an update. Has anyone found a workaround this?

    • +2

Just don't update it or turn off the autoupdate for it.

      • When I open the app, it says New Version Available and I can't bypass it.

    • Are you referring to the modified apk? Is so, Google play will not try to update it as it wasn't installed from Google Play.

      • Yes. I downloaded it from this thread on a mirror website. Google Play isn't trying to update it, the app says "New Version Available" and I can't dismiss it without exiting the app.

        • +1

You may have installed an outdated one, delete it and install one of these

  • +4

Hi Team OzB. I just tried to jump in and lock in some fuel using the modified APK however getting an error saying "the system is currently down for maintenance" and closes.

I have not used it for a few weeks, I did read back the last few pages and didn't see anything similar. Anyone else having this issue?

    • Same happening here, unfortunately…

      • I am getting it in the Modified APK on my phone, and the unmodified one in on Nox. Strange!

    • its definitely down, doesnt even work on one of my phones with the legit app with no mods

    • Looks to be actually down ATM. Down on iphone here

    • +8

I wish the prices went down too…

      • bam boom tist'

        • Still down and a few posts from visitors (2) on their FB page but no official word from 7/11 yet.

    • Yep, down, really annoying too, locked in a price yesterday, went to fill up and app didn't work, hoping I can claim it back

      • I usually screenshot the price lock once it's done, so I have it on hand when paying.

        Perhaps try that?

        • Yeah I usually do as well, but didn't this time, can't even open the app now.

  • -1

Anyone called customer service to find out why app is down?

    • +6

      Can you please?

      • My app appears to be working fine

        • Mines all good now too 😁

    • They’re probably reeling from everyone claiming 20c per litre + off! Haha

      • 20c? Amateur! My last 98 was 40c cheaper. I was only devo'd because I locked in 70, but only squeezed 67 out.

        • +3

I too like to lock in a super low price, wait until the price cycle is high before filling up to see the money saved value increase.

  • Whose 7/11 account got terminated? Just received an email from 7/11 HQ for using a third party website.

    • I've never used a third party website!

      • You mean you only used Fake GPS on your phone or emulator to do it?

        • They said third party website. I've never used any of the websites people have created here. I might have logged in to one to check it out but I don't recall ever using it to lock in fuel. I only ever used fake gps.
And I've only received one email, not one per account.

  • +5

Did anyone else.. Get an email?

  • Just received this from 7 Eleven.

    Dear Fuel App User,

We have identified use of your 7-Eleven Fuel App log-in credentials via a third party website(s) not affiliated with 7-Eleven designed to circumvent specific features of the app.

This activity is in clear breach of the app’s terms and conditions, and accordingly your account is being terminated.

To arrange a transfer of any remaining funds loaded to your account to a physical gift card to be mailed to you, please contact [email protected].

    Corporate Affairs

    7-Eleven Stores Pty Ltd

    • Also received this and was about to post. Is this the beginning of the end? Or will the nerds fight back?

      • +2

Probably create a new account and only use nox/GPS spoof to lock in? How many users never used the websites to lock in that got terminated?

        • Yeah, would like to know too. If the GPS spoof is still all good, I'll just make a new account and use that

      • I hope not! I guess we request our physical gift cards from here and see what the next step will be?

  • +2

I have no idea which account is being terminated because I have 3 using the same end email account.. Ummmmmmmm

    • You can’t tell in your email client which email they sent it to?

      • No.. the to field is blank! If it's the acct that only has $0.50 in it I don't care but one has $90.

        • +1

Are you using Gmail? If you are, you will need to open the email, then click on the 3 dots on the top right, and choose Show Original. You should be able to find the email address amongst the gobledy-gook.

  • Well (profanity).

  • +2

As soon as this was being thrown all over the front page I knew a good thing was going to come to an end. Was fun while it lasted.

  • Anyone who has a site for locking in fuel should probably shut it down ASAP.

  • I wonder how did they figured that out. Maybe account that has locking coming from the shared server most people use here? But then again some above said they never used the website tool.

    • Might have been just a template they used to email everyone. I thought it's would be quite easy to pinpoint all the 'cheats', by just searching users who have lock in locations that are all over the place. Or maybe they keep their own records of what's the cheapest price at each point in time, and cross reference to see those users who consistently lock in the lowest price.

      • They only sent it to one of my emails though so I dont think it's a blanket ban yet.

        • So I'm a little confused, you say you have 3 accounts but did any of those accounts use the website to lock in a price?

          • @uggugg: Now that I think about it, I probably did lock in once via a website (I've locked in dozens of times via nox). Definitely didn't do it regularly.

        • +1

          Just got the email.

I’m wondering if we have to enter our license details to sign in, could they black list people from re-signing up?

I’ve used the fuel lock website before, did anyone who received an email not lock in fuel via that method?

I wonder if it’s from the website or fuel lock in general.

I’m going to email back asking for proof. Let’s see how this plays out.

Weird part is it still let’s me lock in fuel.

    • Same IP Address from fuel locking server? Glad I didn't use the website.

      • Did you get an email?

        • Neg

    • Took a little more than three months: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/6742029/redir

      • Plot twist, it was set up by 7-11 as a means to catch people.

  • +1

Never logged in to 3rd party websites and have not received a termination email. Love my jailbreak.

  • -1

    party's over folks

    • +1

      Only for some

      • +1

        The afterparty has just begun!

    • +1

      Not really.

  • Is there a way to transfer account funds? I can still log in.

    • If they send a physical gift card..
You can essentially phoenix and load up a new 7/11 account..?

But then if you ask for a physical gift card.. then it's admission of guilt

      • :( I don't want to give them my address

      • LOL - you're a lawyer are you? I'll keep this in mind.

        • No but I wouldn't trust them not to send me a nasty legal letter.

          • @Levathian: Fair enough… they are a bunch of knobs though with their own legal concerns stemming from employment practices

      • Just blame our nerdy teenage kids for messing around with our phones.

    • +1

Go to 7/11 and spend it whilst you can.

  • +6

I think we pushed it too far with the website. I'm sure 711 could tell something was amiss if all the requests were coming from the same IP.

    • +2

Just doomed it faster imo, was destined to happen one way or another.

      • @Schema will you release the API again? I'd love to spin up my own, private instance then tie it to the same VPN that I use to log in with the App. That is if they used IP's to help figure out whose who

  • so what's the plan boys???

    • Go back to the OG method

      • OG? create a new account and use the location spoofer method?

    • Use the modified APK.

      • -4

Where can I find this APK?

    • +1

Lock the FULL amount now and fuel up to the full amount.
Pay with the digital GC and spend the full balance.

Don't use the website again or at least run up ur own instance.

  • +1

My app seems to still be working despite getting the nasty email. Anyone else in the same boat?

    • Yeah, can still log in

    • have you tried locking in?

      • Just filled up about 3 hours ago, so no

      • +1

I've been able to lock in.

  • Ok, so I have also got the email at 3:16 PM today. Most of us using the same website have been doomed. I think the only way forward is to use the APK / NOX Method. Unsure how I proceed with this email as I have about $50 in the account. What are you guys replying to the email?

    • +1

I think we should proceed with caution. We should continue using the app until they freezes our acct entirely. So has anyone who received the termination email, used the app and successfully locked and paid?

  • or is this a scare tactic which they sent out to all 711 fuel app registered users? and those who replies admits guilt like what was said above.

    • Not to all users. I only received one email, and I only ever used the fuel lock once.

My concern is that they'll now track all the IPs connected to any account which used a locker, and block all those other accounts too.

      • How did you lock your fuel that one time?

        • Sorry I meant I only locked in once with the website for that account.

      • +1

they'll now track all the IPs connected to any account which used a locker, and block all those other accounts too.

Nah, because most companies only have a few public IPs, so if say you work for NAB, that might affect 1000's. And mobiles have dynamic ip's. So it'd be pointless blocking those.

I'd say if ur a/c is blocked, get a cheap sim & sign up again

    • +1

      I never got this email.

Mind you I never used that 3rd party website.

  • +4

I originally used NOX for a long time and then recently set up my own private version of Freighter's Fuel lock script on my Synology NAS. Haven't received an email yet.

    • Hey L45er. Any chance you can share the script as I'd love to do the same

      • +4

See my earlier comments here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/7066258/redir

You need SSH access to your Synology and Docker package installed. Need to enter own API details into Freighter's script and then compile your own version via docker commandline.

Someone smarter than me may be able to create and share a docker image in which one can enter their API details by way of a -e parameter or similar when running a container for the first time.

        • +1

Thanks so much mate. I'm no coding wiz but I'll sure as heck give it a go to continue my savings :)

And yeah if someone creates an image that would be sweet!

        • I have my symbology, can you help me setting this up??

  • +1

Or we could pick up a physical gift card from 711 and quickly transfer the funds onto the card while the app is still up and running. Then we don't have to email them and ask them to send us a physical gift card.
I have only used the website to lockin the price twice and haven't locked any prices in last 2 weeks and no email so far.

    • How do you do that? You can only transfer from physical card to digital iirc.

      • Oh! I thought it worked both ways. So it won't let you transfer funds from app to physical card?

        • +6

Why is everyone so worried. They won't steal your money.
Maybe they haven't activated the block on your account yet.
Once it's blocked you call/email them they'll send you a GC with balance
and you just make a new Account and use other methods.

  • +2

Hmm I might make an Australia post account and have them send the physical gift card to a parcel locker.

    • +4

You can have it sent to me.

      • +2

Well I've already got a parcel locker if you guys want to save the hassle and send it to me :)

    • Letters aren't accepted so you'll probably have to collect over the counter.

      • Hmph just looked it up. You're correct.

    • Why did you delete your story about 7-Eleven removing your credit and terminating your account?

  • +2

Tried to use app to buy giftcard in store - did not work. Just says declined - not valid.

  • For those affected, try:

Lock the FULL amount now and fuel up to the full amount.
Pay with the digital GC and spend the full balance.

Don't use the website again or at least run up ur own instance.

    • +1

I've removed the website for now to prevent anyone having issues

Going to see how this pans out over the next week

      • +1

        grabs popcorn

A lot of people pitchforks wanting the fuel locks served on a silver platter.

        • 🤷🏻‍♂️

          • @Schema: 7/11 must have felt the dark power of OzBargain

            • +2

@cwongtech: Now we know why azure closed the account…

  • +9

You know something is going on when you see 100+ new comments in this thread in a matter of hours. :(

  • Nice, i cant even sign in to my account.

    • What error message do you see? My app appears like it is still working… Just waiting for something bad to happen. Have used a certain website a few times :/

    • +1

      Are you actually associated?

    • I'm signed in but the credit is greyed out.

      • +1

I just work at a store, but yea it won't let me login. Says contact support

  • -2

App still works, but credit has been removed from it now, so no more locking with this account I suppose 🤷‍♂️

  • Account disabled and credit removed from one of my accounts.

  • no email so far for both of my accounts. I always use website for lockin. got $100 credit on both accounts

    • +1

I think it's better to use them off before you get an email, just to be on the safe side.

      • yup thanks mate.

  • -1

Why can’t you just keep making new accounts, buy credit and lock at the same time you fill up and use the digital credit..

    • It expires

      • What if you do it at the fuel station?

      • It doesn't.

        • Good chat

          • @Kustard King: What are you on about?

            • +3

@Kustard King: I haven't been locked out, but my 2yr credit hasn't expired. What you talkin about Willis?

  • Surely the best option now is just to run a local instance of Freighter's script, with all the requests coming from the same IP before with the website locker it was bound to be found out.

    • Friend of mine who regularly asks for a voucher screenshot was refused today. Staff have been advised that only in app vouchers will be accepted. So you're basically fkd if they are down

4/ Your 7-Eleven Card unique 13 digit number"

      • +1

My wife was refused to redeem a screenshot voucher and gift card yesterday. They ended up only accepting the voucher only and said it's nolonger acceptable if you don't have the app no redemption.

        • Wow they must really be cracking down now. Can't she just download the app and login under whichever acct the voucher in?

        • +3

Why not download the app on your wifes phone and sign in on the same account so the voucher shows up? No need for screenshots.

          • @brandogs: That's literally what I just said.

            • @Levathian: She has iPhone I haven't bothered checking out how it would work. But that is under consideration. I have a sumsang

              • +3

@Ginger1: Doesn't matter if it is samsung or iphone. You can log into whatever app from whatever phone with the same login details to gain access to the voucher.

      • Running the script locally still locks the price in within the app, so no issues there.

        • How does that work? Can you please link me to the relevant post/comment?

        • @dinglejerry

          me too

  • +1

Just had a reply from the said email.
    Vis:
Thank you for contacting 7-Eleven Customer Service.

I would like to inform you that we will be sending you the remaining balance to your requested address.

    I’ll wait in anticipation

    • im waiting on mine as well…

  • NOX user here. Did not get a mail. Also I was able to show a screenshot in phone and fill up an hour ago.

    • Good to hear. Hopefully it's not the exception

    • +1

Wasn't the issue with people using a website to login and lock?

NOX is jist an Android emulator, so they won't know (or care) if you're using nox. Its no difference to using an Android phone to lock in.

The public website is easy to detect lots of different accounts locking in from the same location/ip address.

      • -3

Hi @supabrudda, can you link/show how to use NOX?

        • +1

i've never used it, but Google is your friend

  • +4

Buy a cheap android phone. No issues. None… never. Skivvy kiddies, you over pay for your Apple toys, if you don't want to pay $25-40 for a android phones, then you'll over pay for your fuel.

Nice thing is if you activate the sim, you'll get 2 x 711 a/cs

There was a $22.50 Telstra android phone last week. Use the phone to lock in …log into that a/c on your skivvyPhone. You get the locked in price on your skivvy phone!!!;;!

  • I logged out of my account and now I can't log in. Guess I have to get them to send me the gift cards

    • U got the warning email?

      • Yes

  • -1

yet to receive any email, and have been a regular weekly user of Schema's website for the last few months.

Will transfer across to using NOX now. Had a fiddle with it last night, but I'm guessing I have to install the modified APK linked a few pages back?

    • +4

Nope you use the normal app and just change the location through nox

      • Might be a dumb question as I am new to this, but when I go to the app store (Android) it comes up with quite a few different apps called Nox. Which one should I be downloading to change the location?

        • +6

So Nox is pretty much an Android emulator, you need to download nox on to your laptop or PC and it is basically a mobile phone on your computer.
Once you've done that you install 7/11 through the app store on your Nox system and change the location on Nox and that's pretty much it :) (there's a location button thing on the side when in nox)

          • @shapers: Thanks for that, very helpful. Any idea if there is a way to change the location on my android phone directly without using the pc/laptop?

            • +1

@ABZ300: Yep so assuming you haven't tried it - you can get the modified APK from here then download a fake GPS app to change the location. (You need to enable mock locations from developer mode). I've been using this method and haven't received any email or anything :)

              • @shapers: I did try that way when i first came across it, however it stopped working a day or so later as it kept telling me there was an updated verison to download, which is when i came across &using the other website to get to the lower price. However thought i would see if there was a way to change the location of the phone while still using the normal 7/11 app rather than the modified apk verisons. Thanks for your replies, very helpful.

                • @ABZ300: there is an updated version of the apk out there

      • ah righto, so the modified APK is only if you want to do it on your phone, but if I just use the PC, then just using NOX is fine.

        • bingo

  • Hi guys. Where can I download the modified apk?

  • I wonder what the regular site users that avoided the email were doing differently to those who got it. There might be another thing 7-11 are looking at rather than the site's IP address…
Does anyone know what sort of user information gets tracked during the lock in & subsequent purchase? Could some privacy apps on a mobile interfere with the purchase tracking and hence that's how some people weren't connected to the site?

    • I used the fuel site and haven't received an email. I use Pi-Hole on the home network and only locked in fuel from home.

    • i have no idea, but i had locked in both from home PC and work PC, so don't know if that made any difference. no email for me.

    • +2

I never got an email, only a notification about security when I opened the app a day later or so. But I never locked in with a publicly hosted version.

REMINDER: Protect your account by securing your device, regularly changing your password, and not sharing your log-in credentials with anyone

The only things that are sent to 7/11 when you login are your device id, the device model, email and password. And then when you do lock in it wants your location (latitude/longitude), how much fuel you want to lock and the fuel type.

Apart from that stuff there is their usual analytics which tracks everything from opening the app to mock location errors to logging in to starting a fuel lock.

      • Freighter is the device id and model a static variable?

        • Device id, no. That's how the public version allowed so many people to log in. It's set when you login to a random 15 character string on line 290.

Device name, yes it was. On line 288 you can change your device name and OS version to what you actually use to make it less suspicious.

I was going to push an update over the weekend to make it easier to adjust those I just never tested it (yet).

      • Hmmm makes it hard to pinpoint how they determined which accounts to close down. I wonder if it was something in the analytics? As with the inconsistency, it could be explained by people who do and don't have device-wide privacy apps? Or could they have compared the device model of the lock with the device model of when it was redeemed?

  • +23

Been working on this over the afternoon and into the night. A small little tool called iFakeLocation which mocks locations for iDevices - can be used for any app and no jailbreak is required. Tested with iPhone 6 and 6 Plus on iOS 9.3, 12.1 and 12.2.

    https://github.com/master131/iFakeLocation

Download is in the zip file on the Release tab.

    • Does it need to be side loaded weekly?

      • +1

There's no sideloading involved. You just plug your iDevice into your PC and run the tool from your PC whenever you want to mock location (which means you can't really do it on-the-go).

        • Oh. I didn’t realise it was tethered.

    • Thanks! It worked as expected.

      iPhone Xs Max 12.2

    • Hi. Great stuff! Is this windows only?

    • Many thanks for your efforts. I got it to work. First, the maps wouldn't load (work internet) so I used hotspot from my phone. Then, developer dmg wouldn't download, so I changed the location of the app, then it worked. Then, it couldn't load the developer disk - had to turn off hotspot, then it worked. Then I could get the fake location.

    • @master131 - Is it possible to get a DMG version for us Mac users ?

    • Thanks so much master! This tool is fantastic. Just had to install iTunes and it worked first go

    • Hey master! Thanks so much for this! I can get it recognising my iPhone X… and I can click on 'set my location' but I can't seem to get it to actually change to that GPS locations.

      I'm running it on MACOSX

      • +1

I can give you tips on getting it to work on an iPhone via a jailbreak if you like.

        • I'm on software 12.2? Can you jailbreak this? I'm keen to hear your tips! Thanks!

  • -1

I have never used NOX , is it safe to install ?

    • I think poster means does it contain a lot spy/malware?

  • I emailed support to give them my address so they can send the gift card, and then got emailed a case number, I've now gotten another email saying the matter is 'resolved' but the comment field is completely blank. They haven't committed to sending it.

If they've stolen my money can I do a charge back or anything?

    • Have you emailed/called them back for confirmation?

      • It was an automated email

Please be advised that your recent contact to Customer Service has now been resolved. Please see below for the resolution to your enquiry.

Short description: Fuel App - Blocked Card

This task has been resolved automatically as part of the first call resolved functionality.

We thank you for taking the time to contact us and look forward to hearing from you again soon.

If the response you received did not meet your expectations, please respond to this email with Reject in the first line, or click on this and your enquiry will be re-opened.

        • Have you emailed/called them back since you are not sure that they will be sending you the GC.

        • How much have you got tied up?
They've got to refund your money.

If you log into the app does it show your balance is $0?

    • I received the same email as well.

      • Just follow up with them again, they replied back once I did and confirmed they were sending the gift card to my address.

        • +1

Yep they told me that too.

  • Is anyone else having their root detected? I have ticked the 7-11 app in magisk hide. It has worked perfectly for a year but all of a sudden today I run 7-11 app and it says Rooted Device Detected.

    • Are you sure Magisk Hide is working correctly? The app uses the RootBeer library by scottyab [and doesn't seem to mention it in the terms & conditions page which might be a software licensing violation]. Try the RootBeer sample app and check if it detects that you are rooted (uses the same detection code as 7-11). You can also use the patched APK in the previous pages.

      https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.scottyab.r…

Note that the "Root Management Apps", "Potentially Dangerous Apps", "BusyBox", "SELinux" and "Root Cloaking Apps" checks are (currently) not used.

      • I removed then reinstalled magisk manager and it resolved my issue! Cheers.

  • +5

I'm SURE 7 Eleven will be monitoring this thread closely for all the possible ideas for app patching to ensure the terms and conditions are followed….everyone contributing is providing valuable information…they should be paying you ;)

    • +11

If they are, it doesn't seemed to have helped them too much for the last couple of years that this thread has been running and everyone has been able to block!

      • +3

Yeah, I can imagine 7-eleven hiring master131 on big $$ to be their IT Systems guy, to help shut this thing down. Kind of reads like a movie script haha.

  • +16

If 7-11 is reading this thread, then you should be happy that there is a group of people actually buying your fuel every week, we are not re-selling the fuel, we are buying for personal use. So you should not be too strict on us. We are supporting your business, in return, you areselling cheap fuel to us. win-win.

    • +19

You are getting downvoted, but I kind of agree with you. If not for this app, I wouldn't be using 7/11 fuel as often as I am (was, until banned). Other petrol stations had the same price I was able to get on the fuel lock app, but I went with 7/11 because I liked the savings.

      • +14

I agree, I never used 7/11 prior to this hack. They certainly have more business from me…… Although I think I'm ahead with all the Jan freebies and fuel savings.

        • +2

Same here. It was woolies or costco.

      • he's getting downvoted because beggars can't be choosers

      • +1

tbh if I didn't use 7/11, I'd follow the general fuel cycle more closely and fill up at woolies caltex or puma when it's cheap, and fill up only the bare minimum when it's not cheap.

Still haven't decided what I'll do if/when I get my physical voucher. My other accts only have like $4 on one and $1 on the other; im not keen on putting more money into them if they're gonna get terminated too.

        • Someone said you can load a voucher onto an account in store

  • +5

There were a few requests earlier to make iFakeLocation cross-platform, so now it runs on Windows, Mac OSX (Sierra 10.12 and above) and Ubuntu (16.04). Please make sure to have the necessary requirements installed before trying to run the app (read the README on the main page). Again, it's small little tool which mocks locations for iDevices via USB. Does not require any jailbreak.

    https://github.com/master131/iFakeLocation

    • Hi and thanks for all your hard work!

Is this no longer working? As I downloaded, but can't seem to find the actual program. Unless I'm doing something wrong?

      Cheers!

EDIT: Worked it out. Thanks :)

  • +1

Any chance 7/11 would block any CC's used with another account and the fuel locker? Tried adding mine to a new account but it won't accept, says error code "Light"

    • Actually, can't add any CC's to the app atm, must be a broader issue.

    • Same issue, tried multiple cards. Ended up just going and getting a gift card

      • That's fine in the short term but a bit of a pain to do every time isn't it? Hopefully it's just a temporary issue

        • +1

Technically yes but you only have to do it once. When you pay for the fuel use a card you have on you, not the App credit. The credit will always stay in your account for future lock-ins :)

          • +1

@Preet: Ah, right… well anyway, there must be an issue application wide - I tried with a newly setup account and can't add any credit cards at the moment.

  • For anyone wondering, NOX worked great for me. I've created a new account, new email, dummy mobile number, topped up the account with a gift card. Installed NOX, locked in a price and just used the 11-Seven to see whats cheap where. Filled up. All good.

I noticed on NOX there maybe a way to change Device ID. Was doing some Googling…. haven't actually tried it yet. But I'll see if I can change it to what my actual phone is. Model will be different but oh well.

    Back in business baby!

    • "I noticed on NOX there maybe a way to change Device ID. Was doing some Googling…. haven't actually tried it yet. But I'll see if I can change it to what my actual phone is. Model will be different but oh well."

      Can do multi-instance NOX

      • that's only available through Windows and not on OSx

      • Thanks mate. Will have a tinker tonight :)

    • I'm looking at doing this too, did you use the same name? Also, how did you top up the account with a gift card?

      • Same name as in Device ID? I haven't yet, but cwongtech said it's possible, just gotta start a new instance.

Gift card - go to a 7 Eleven, buy a 7 Eleven gift card, use card to top up App account by clicking "My Card" top right in the App.

        • Sorry meant same name as banned account

          • @SuperC: Nah I used a new name, new email, fake mobile number.

            • +1

@Preet: Perfect, yeah that works. Thanks for the advice.

            • @Preet: Oh don't they check the mobile#?

    • Anyone having issues in nox setting the location? My google maps stops working and I have to set the manually set the coordinates in.

      • Having the same issue.
I just positioned the map over the area I wanted and clicked move here. I guess it randomises the exact lock in location a bit which is good, if they start tracking that sort of thing.

      • I typed in an actual address instead of using the pin dropper.

Just typed in an address close by to the petrol station I wanted

      • +1

I'm getting a "Google maps won't load" message with NOX. Anyone else seen that?

      • Yes, same problem . I just typed in lat/long co-ord’s And clicked move there and it worked.
Sounds like Nox hasn’t paid their google maps licence or something like that.

      • I updated my emulator and google maps started working again

    • Thankyou NOX worked great for me too

  • +1

Use baidu maps. In the drop down box in nox Move manually to desired local

  • Is Nox a bit unreliable when booting? A couple of times it has stopped at 34%, 37% or 41%. Only managed to boot it once properly since installing.

    • Mine has always booted up 100%. Is your hardware a bit old?

    • I had to uninstall one security patch on Win 10. Kept getting a blue screen at say 70%. That fixed it. Can't remember the security patch off the top of my head, but it was a common issue with NOX and Win 10 and that particular patch.

      • Reasonably old but still not terrible - i7 earlier generation, geforce GT730, windows 7 though! It did load once and worked fine which is what makes me wonder what the issue is.

        • Just checked and hardware virtualisation is enabled.

          • +1

@leyton01: I was running v5 (didn't read the instructions) and created a new instance of 7.1.2. It now gets to 67% or 71%, not sure if this is better or just as bad??

  • Does anybody know how to get your Android devices Device ID? Will probably run an insurance of the script locally with the same ID

    • Why would you want the same android ID?

      • +1

If they are talking about the script I made, why would you not want the same android ID if you are only running it for yourself?

That way it looks like you've locked in from your own device, not a random one.

edit: I assume this will work: http://www.android.pk/blog/faqs/how-to-find-your-android-dev…

        • "If they are talking about the script I made, why would you not want the same android ID if you are only running it for yourself?"

2 fuel locks every 24 hours per device ID :)

I see, yeah, I guess if you have jumping device IDs.. that could be highly suspicious

        • Yep, that's what I meant. I don't know how they picked up specific users but my suspicion is that that they may have been picking people up based on number of ID changes.

That's assuming the script generates a new one each time, which I seen to recall is the case?

  • +1

For those interested, I got my gift card in the post so good news

    • +2

      Levathian would be interested.

    • Excellent!

So have you got a new a/c so you can start locking in again?

    • When did you give them your address? Still waiting for mine

  • I got mine yesterday as well on a registered express post too.

  • Haven't got mine. My flatmate probably stole it lol. :-(

  • -9

Would someone kindly give me the lowdown on how to set up a mock location on android?
Missing these amazing fuel locks :(

  • +8

I don't know why we don't just sticky or place in the opening post; the site for the modded app and short instructions. Stop the same questions being asked.
We've already got/had the fuel locker site on the top if its a matter of 'staying' under the radar is long gone.

  • -6

I wouldn't mind if a private group was setup with a monthly subscription with the developers so to go under the radar tbh.

    • +2

      Lol.
Or you can.. read the instructions, theres 70 pages of comments, full of info, curated over 2 years.
      Two working methods:
      1) NOX
      2) Modified APK by Freighter/master131

      • -1

Master created the fake location app for IOS not apk.

        • +3

Then why did he post links to the APK?
Freighter and Master131 both know how to make the modded APK.. Freighter was the first to do it
The latest release was distributed by Master131

          • +3

@cwongtech: I even published how to make it for yourself. I think there's a Pastebin floating around here with the tutorial

      • Yeah only for this method to become more popular and 7/11 to discontinue fuel locking due to rampant abuse.

Or change the app so that fuel prices per location is no longer displayed so the projectzerothree can't draw this data.

  • Just wondering for those who got their account locked, did you guys usually lock them just before fueling up?

I was thinking of locking then use right away but if the locked location and the actual servo are far apart, it’s a bit suspicious.

    • +4

Pretty sure it was only people who used the website to lock. If you used the website at all I'd say you're a high risk of getting your account locked.

I have always used Nox and have no issues. I almost always lock fuel price just before filling up.

    • +4

I’ve had very short trips from WA to Vic and didn’t get my account locked.

    • +2

Nah they've so far only banned people who logged into the website. I only had 1 account banned and it used the site once; none of my other accounts were effected so the gps hack should still be safe.

      • +2

I used the site on both accounts from early on, probably a lock on each a day for the entirety of its existence, no bans. Maybe the later takers got done more.

Can't put a theory on it though as I think there were some who took it on early who did get banned. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

  • +8

Waiting for Supreme 98+ Fuel for U91 price.. its been a while :-)

    • +1

Its school hols in Vic & qld, so hopefully soon!

    • +1

Just happened to correlate with when they started banning accounts for using the website so … something tells me it's probably going to be a little while longer :-(
(I do hope I'm wrong though)

  • I got a E10 126.7 voucher who wants it?

    • +8

U91 is cheaper than that at the moment, so I'm gonna assume no one wants it ;)

  • Had my account terminated, signed up for a new one

    Same name,
    Different birthday
    Different email
    Same mobile
    Different CC

It doesn’t add let me add funds via CC on my current iphone (error code Helix) or Nox (error code: Sierra) so I tried my old iPhone and it accepted the card but is now asking for my drivers license details to verify my identity.

Didn’t feel comfortable giving them this info. Anyone else ran into similar issues ?

    • +2

Have you tried loading via gc?

      • Good idea, will try that. Thanks.

        • +3

I had the same CC issue but loaded up the gift card they sent me and it worked!

  • My account still seems to work but the cash I had in the account is gone. I've sent them email to get it sent to me as a gift card.

Should have locked price this morning coz it's already gone up in my area.

    • Yeah the TPG was steady at the beginning of the week, I thought we'd hit the top of the cycle, then it bumped up another 0.5c at the end. I suppose it is school hols, Easter, Anzac holidays

  • +1

    Hi guys
just recently downloaded the 7-11 app (late to the party I know)
just reading the last 10 pages or so I've seen lot of mentions of the apk app and NOX. I've downloaded the modified APK app (Back on page 61 of this thread) but do I need a fake GPS app too? And what is the NOX method? Sorry I'm a noob and any help would be appreciated

    • +3

but do I need a fake GPS app too?

      Yes

Modified APK disables GPS spoofing detection.

      NOX = Android simulator.
Kind of like VMWare but for running a virtual phone on your windows computer (you can do it on mac as well).
As NOX is a completely virtualized solution, official 7/11 app cannot tell hardware from software gps locations.

NOX method shouldn't need modified APK to function

      • thanks for that cwongtech,

Seems like NOX is the better method here, would you happen to have the instructions to use NOX for a mac?

  • +1

Super late to the party but I loaded $20 the other day so was only was able to lock 13 litres or so..
Assuming I put ~$70 I should get the lock for the full amount I am going to buy of U98 at the pump for around ~40litres, right?

I will pay that with card so $70 should remain on my 7/11 app. Can I instead use the fuel app money to pay for the petrol instead?
And just load money everytime I am going to purchase fuel instead of leaving $70 stuck on the app?

    • yes you could go about using and reloading your credit on the app everytime.

    • you could… but its just easier to leave the money in the 7/11 app so you can lock in a price whenever without having to think about reloading

    • Especially considering sometimes people have issues loading credit on to their account.

    • thanks gang

  • -26

So what's the current way to lock in cheapest prices? (mod: removed non-working site) doesn't seem to be working anymore

    • Step 1. Buy a lock.
      Step 2. Lock it.

    • +5

      try reading the thread….
you know… this one..the one you originally found that link in

Ok I will thought someone could help a brother out since this things like 71 pages. You know life and shit prevents me from reading this post every single day, can't even remember the last page I was at when I checked a couple weeks ago.

EDIT: ok all up to speed now. Is a rooted phone the only option? Or can I run my own instance of the python script that runs the local web server?

        • +5

          Dude..

if you had read my comment like 15cm above yours… You don't need a
          rooted phone.

Heck, you don't even need an android phone.

          Clearly not up to speed..

@cwongtech: my bad…I kept seeing references to NOX in the last few pages thinking it was an app to run on a rooted phone.

Thanks your post is clear, and that actually sounds a lot easier than booting up my backup rooted android and setting it up

  • Received my gift card today so they did honour their promise :)

    • +6

Have you met my imaginary cousin? Levathian 2? They like to fill up at 7/11 too :)

      • +2

They also have a job which makes them need to visit Waverley Gardens on a fortnightly basis, though they never need to fill up in Melbourne itself.

        • So you're in logistics and have to pop down to the woolies DC to check up in things?

Or maybe you're into the gee gees and watch your nag do a lap around Sandown?

    • How long it took you? I still waiting for mine. Did they reply with an email to confirm the gift card?

      • Emailed them early last week, got it yesterday.

        • They even rounded mine up to the nearest dollar, so I made money out of it. Thanks 7.11, you rock!

  • +1

Sooo they've blocked my other accounts (they had minimal funds), no emails sent tho. Just can't login. I think they block based on phone number.

… And downvoted. That was quick.

    • I’m confused why you were downvoted. Thanks for the update.

Did your other accounts lock in using the websits? Or did they share the phone number of the account that was originally blocked?

      • +1

Nup, only used website once on the account which was banned. Phone numbers were the same, I guess that was my mistake.

I'd be interested to know how many others got banned too.

        • I tried using the website once but luckily for me it came back with an error when I tried to lock in haha.

Just curious what's it say when you try to log in?

          • @shapers: Account error Foxtrot, contact customer service.

            • +1

@Levathian: Invest in another sim to setup a new a/c.

  • im glad both of my accounts did not get suspended, have used both with the website several times. Ended up using up the credit on one just to make sure it was all good.

  • Can't seem to load google maps on Nox anymore- says for developmental purposes only. Anyone with the same issue?

    • Yes. Had same issue

    • I was getting this when I first installed NOX until I removed some windows update that they recommend doing to keep NOX stable. Been working since just after the 7/11 crackdown and I used it last night to change location and lock in with no issues.

      • Do you have the link to the recommendations?

        • +1

          Uninstall the system patch KB41000347

          • @applecracle: Hmm, I don't have the KB41000347 update installed to uninstall…

            • @AnDyStYLe: Had another look… No wonder I couldn't find it, it's actually "KB4100347" (one less 0)

          • @applecracle: Thanks- looked up how to uninstall this particular patch, rebooted computer and nox is working again! Thanks for the tip :)

    • Not sure if its related or not but just put in an order with harvey norman online c&c and their google maps store location wouldnt load and had the error for development purposes only too..

    • Happened to me just now. I restarted Nox and managed to change location very quickly before it happened again.

Hopefully it doesn't continue to be buggy!

    • +2

The "..developmental purposes only.." message relates to all Nox users in the world collectively making too many API calls to Google maps over a 24 hour period.

Google maps isnt free for commercial use (used to be), if the number of worldwide Nox user requests for the maps/location function exceeds what the Nox developers are prepared to pay for that message will show up and functionality might be crippled for the rest of a 24 hours period (or Nox devs might pay more to Google to restore functionality earlier).

Uninstalling the Windows system patch isn’t related to this issue (but is still apparently a good thing to do to improve performance - I havent bothered)

  • I keep getting the you have to wait 24hrs to top up even though its been 72 hours, looks like it's time to purchase a gift card.

  • Bit off from recent posts here. Has anyone had issues with staff demanding they handle the phone to scan the voucher to ensure it's not a screenshot?

Not an issue with me but I can understand why some people would question it. all 4 stores I have been to recently, the scanner is not within customers reach to scan the voucher barcode themselves.

    • +5

I've had staff take my phone to get it to scan properly. They never seem to be checking that it's not a screenshot.

      • I hold my phone close to the scanner and the scanner is on a stretchy cord so they bring it across. I haven't had to hand it over.

    • I thought they weren’t able to handle the customer’s phone, just in case it drops and breaks.

      • I wouldn't let a 711 attendant touch my phone anyway.
It's a personal item and hygiene is a factor

    • Last week my wife was told that they won't accept screenshots anymore.
When I go my local has the scanner pretty far back so they usually pick up my phone and scan it themselves

  • +1

Looks like 7e.h4k.win is offline as too.

  • +3

I'm getting "new version available on appstore update for newest… ". Is there a new apk in the last few days? Thanks.

    • +4

Just checked.. Yep it pushes you to a new version of the app. looks like we need a new modded apk

    • Google Play says Updated on 1 Apr 2019. Late joke.

    • yep, same here

      • Yep my modded apk was working just this morning, now getting the "New version available" message. Need Freighter or master131 to post new modded apk.

        • Modded APK is blocked may be?

          • @andylch: 711 could simply be enforcing a version check. Probably really easy for Freighter or master131 to fix up.

    • Locked in price this morning, just went to 7/11 and got petrol only for the friggin app to tell me i need to update, hitting exit shuts it down! Forced to pay full price, such BS that they lock you out of your own funds and force you to update.

      • Yeah I learned the hard way to check and get teh screen up before I fill up.
If you use the modded APK on page 61 it shouldn't be an issue

        • +1

He is on the modded APK.
The issue is that an official new version was just pushed out and anyone on the old APK can no longer use it.

Time to wait for new APK.

      • +2

Next time you could have just uninstalled and install latest version from Playstore for that transaction!

      • +3

No big deal. You simply had to uninstall then install the update. Your locked price is kept in the cloud and accessible from the official app.
Once the mod is released its a matter of uninstall/reinstall.

      • +2

Keep the receipt and contact customer service. They might credit your account the difference.

      • Wait, why does it matter if we update? I had no problem locking in with Nox after the update.

      • Not entirely lost. You can still send a missed discount application via the app. They’ll send u a credit for the missed discount. You’ll need a photo of receipt.

    • +1

Yep, happening for me too. Also waiting for the latest APK, thanks guys!!!

    • Yep happening for me as well "New Version Available" and forcing me to the app store with no update available. Will have to wait till Master brings out an updated apk..

      • +1

They already did fix it, about 15 comments down

        • Awesome! Thank you!!

  • -1

How to mod the apk? Is it a difficult process?

    • +1

There are a couple of excellent members here who do it and offer it to the community.
Hopefully they will release the updated version soon

      • +1

Fingers crossed desperately need the new app

    • What's the latest version number?

      • You just messaged me I think.

You'll need to pop in 1.7.1.2012 instead of the 1.7.0.2009

        • Yes thanks!

  • +39

    Edit: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/7157036/redir

If the app acts weird on first use, swipe it away from multi-task and start it again.

  • Does anyone know how to fix app not installed error on Android? I tried to install the app but no luck

    • +2

      Uninstall the existing app first.

      • Hey master, thanks for the app.
Unfortunately I am having problems: getting the old "mock location error" with it and fake GPS
Was running beautifully this morning on the old version, but I cant get this new version to work
I have tried every trick and combination I can think of but I just cant get past it.
        Any ideas?

  • For those using NoxPlayer, has anyone found a way to overcome the issue with the Location tool prompting as follows?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/288802?page=70#comment-715…

    • +1

Use the coordinates box to search position.

      • That’s the issue, the map displays “For development purposes only” and there’s a prompt on the search stating “This Page Can’t Load Google Maps Correctly” so cant even search position 🤔

        • Weird. Works for me when I input coordinates using the coordinates field box.

        • Just find your location manually then click move here.

    • I'm using Baidu Maps to pinpoint location for the meanwhile

  • Thanks master. Legend.

  • -8

My mod app giving a message for force update anyone else ?

    • +4

      Please read the posts above.

      • +2

What? There's too many important people here to read what us riff raff have written.

  • -3

    177.9 P98 at my local 7-Eleven (NSW)

    price going up :-(

    • -10

Glad we have 70+ pages here of useless information so we will have to pay full price for petrol :)

  • -11

Looks like an update is needed for the APK to work.

    • Yeah Freighter's script isn't working atm, so would seem so

      • +1

Should work? We (some contributors) pushed an update to just change the app version to the latest 1.7.1.2012 .

        Still doesn't work?

        • It wasn't working this morning at around 8am, I'll check when I get back home. Thanks mate.

          • +2

@dinglejerry: Hopefully over the weekend I can have a tinker to see if anything needs fixing

            • @Freighter: Hey mate, I updated the script on my local pc and it all works now, so thanks

          • @dinglejerry: Worked fine for me last night (changed version as mentioned yesterday)

            • @b0b: Yeah it worked for me fine last night, but when I tried to login this morning it wasn't working. I can't run the script now as I'm not at my home PC.

      • Looks like working fine. I just logged in successfully after updating the script and settings.py. Haven't tried to lock the price though.

  • Out of interest, is everyone locking in the cheapest prices within their actual state they reside in or also locking in cheapest prices from other states as well?

    • +4

      Nope. Whereever's cheapest.

    • +27

I drive to whereever is cheapest to lock in the price - no matter which state it is in … totally worth it.

    • +4

Based on my own messed up and completely inconsistent morality, and a little bit of paranoia about getting banned, I only do for my own state. Theoretically I could be driving about the state locking these prices so it’s all OK….

It would be fairly trivial for them to analyse their records and isolate customers who are bouncing around the country locking in the cheapest price.

Can only hope/assume that they are aware of users doing it but the volume and the financial impact on the program isn’t high enough for them to take action. The entire thing is done for 7-Eleven’s financial benefit so it defies belief that they don’t have modelling to compare fuel discounts locked in VS some other $ metric.

That said, it’s often scary what can get overlooked for a long long time in a corporate environment.

      • +3

yeah I tend to stick to the east coast.

I figure if they actually do get any intelliegence, they'd know I never fill up in WA.
But I do occasionally do in Syd, Newcastle, Brissy, GC and Melb.

      • Whats to say im not a person who travels the country by plane doing business and I happen to lock in my petrol at cheapest at the time?

        • +1

Nothing at all – but this isn’t a court case where you just need to create reasonable doubt to escape a conviction.

If 7/11 get sick of all this and decide they’ve had enough of being played all they need do is invoke term 15.2 of their TCs en masse after isolating all of the fortunate interstate business frequent flyers:

…we may suspend or terminate your account immediately where you fail to comply with a material term in these Conditions or where we reasonably suspect that you are misusing the App.

The party has been going a while and no reason to think it will end but just incase I’m staying in my own state.

    • You could be having a very reliable "friend", "relative" or "fellow ozbargainer" who happens to be living/driving by the area where the fuel price is cheapest and he/she asks you to share the login details and lock teh price for you on his/her phone.

      • +6

That would be breaking terms and services condition 4.3b wouldn't it?

        you are the only person that uses your account. You must not authorise anyone else to use your account;

    • +5

I have been locking in prices within my state if they are within a cent or two of the national lowest since the crack down. However If there are good savings to be had I might take a road trip interstate.

    • I have been using this for a couple years now and refuel weekly using the lowest price nationwide. Have not had any issues at all. I didn't use the website, just my phone and Master131's app. All works beautifully

    • I've locked prices from another state and filled up 10 minutes later.

At first I was sure they were going to block my account.

They haven't yet so I'll keep doing it.

  • I've locked in fuel today and when I tried to lock again for other car nothing happens. Both with mock and real locations nothing happens after I choose my fuel quantity and push the lock button.

    Any ideas?

    • +1

Max 2 locks in 24 hours.

      • Oh true. I did lock yesterday. Thanks!

  • +24

    Meow.

I don't know if people are interested, but I've updated my guide on how to create your own modded APK. Hopefully it is simple enough for people to follow, if you have questions I am more than happy to help you. It should be easy enough to follow along, I didn't really explain what everything does this time but I'm more than happy to help like I said. I don't need to release a public version since it's already floating around on here but shoot for the stars and create your own!

    Linky -> https://gist.github.com/freyta/b0bb77577f89e2ac59b53d5d190fa…

    • Thanks :D

      • -1

I'll stick to downloading from the comments unless I am forced to do it

    • Great guide. Followed it and made my own custom 7-11 apk.
Slight mistake in step 7.1 - I assume you mean search for "mapsAPIKey"
Also just wondering why we need to replace the Googlemaps API key with our own?

      • +2

Yep, I meant that. Will update later. Any other comments?

You need to replace the API key with your own because (most?) releases use a key that matches the certificate used to sign the APK. That way Google knows whether to restrict usage of the certain API key to APKs that are only signed by the developer. (Shocking explanation, sorry!)

So for instance because master131 doesn't restrict his API by using his own certificate, you can use his API key in your own APK until he blocks it. Also, from memory he will have to rename his app to something else instead of au.com.seveneleven when signing his app i.e. "au.com.sevenelevenmod" otherwise it won't allow him to sign his APK and use the Google API.

        • Thanks for explaining - makes sense to me.
Since master131 uses his own Maps API key, that means if there are enough people using his modded APK, he will get charged by Google?

          • @Trojan: Possibly. I think you get "unlimited API hits" for the first year or so and then it charges. I'm not sure how it works exactly to be honest

  • Hey guys, will the servo attendees care if we use a picture of the barcode via nox as the fuel lock in or do they prefer to see the app?

    • Screenshots not permitted. Sometimes works, sometimes not.

    • why would you need to risk it?

Use nox on your pc to lock it in
Sign in with the legit app on your phone to redeem

      • when using NOX on your PC, do you need to login your 7/11 account first? so you can lock the amount you need? then re-login on your phone after?

        • Not sure how else you think you'd be able to lock in a price within the 7-11 app in Nox, if you didn't log in first….
          :/

      • +1

Just me worrying if my account can be geolocated, lets say I locked at Southern River NSW and 5 minutes later Im in Canberra. Doesn’t really make sense and is violating their TOS.

  • +1

Why does it always say "your selected fuel type is not available at your current location" ? Any fix? It does this for all fuel types..

    • You didn't set the right location maybe

      • For some reason when I click find a local store it took me to somewhere in Asia! But I am using coordinates for Southern River WA. Really odd. Nox is playing up and is very slow/laggy, doesn't register typing etc. Making it very hard..

    • Also getting the same error. Although I've only tried the Southern River region.

      • Try swapping the latitude and longitude on nox

    • Did you find a solution to this? Mine is doing this now for every location which is not where I am - so if I am based im Surfers paradise and use the app naturally it locks in but if i engage a fake location it says no Fuel type available? any tips ? Using the app on my phone

  • +1

Reinstalled Nox and it is driving me nuts. So slow to the point it is unusable, try to search for 7-Eleven app and it crashes. Useless.

Any other emulators which can be used?

    • Reinstalled Nox and it is driving me nuts.

Have you increased the core count and memory allocation from your comp to NOX?

    • Haven't tried it for 7-11 and GPS Faker, but I have used Bluestacks before for other stuff on Android, and it was quite good.

  • Just a noob question with using Nox on your pc. After you locked in your fuel how do you retrieve the barcode from the pc to your phone?

EDIT: just need to open up your account on your phone? First time try it…

    • +3

Logout then login again. Or I think if you search for a price it should show up

      • i see, so need to logout the app from your phone first?
