Nah it isnt
for anyone wanting something slightly smaller i recently purchased this http://www.kongcomputers.com/product-detail/gamers/metabox-a…
Now that's not too shabby. I'll have to keep 'em in mind for when I'm shopping around in March. +1
good price for the new cpu and graphic card
Seems like much better value.
How is the build quality?,
Havent recieved it yet as it was a pre order , but ive looked everywhere and from what i can see they have a pretty good build quality , best spec to quality ratio i could find
Have bought from them before, build quality is great, well put together and for the price its one of the best options out there for laptops.
I've ordered one as well, but through http://www.affordablelaptops.com.au/ as they don't charge delivery & Paypal fees for extra protection on my side.
i would have gone with them aswell but kris from kongcomputers has been great on ozbargain and when i contacted kris i was given a code for a small discount
Would be nice except for the GPU - too weak for the rest of the specs :/
probably better than the 960m , its the gtx1050 which means its not a laptop chipset its the same that is put into desktops
Where'd you get 1050 from? Says "Video Card nVIDIA GeForce GTX960M 2GB GDDR5" on the site.
1050 is nothing great though. There's laptops with 1070's for similar price.
Not to be rude but maybe 3 years later then a 1070 will be sold for that price…..btw if u read the comments above then u would know what the 1050 is about
Can't believe they still don't put bluray drives in a machine like this. Or just no optical drive at all.
Showing in stock - probably not
Don't trust PC Byte. Very bad experience. Recently order a laptop that advertise 8GB of ram. When I received it. It only has 4GB. When I contacted they, they asked me to post the laptop back to Sydney from Melbourne. I guess it will be at my cost. I suggested that they post me the extra 4GB ram. They said okay. After waiting for nearly 3 months, still have not seen the ram. Dishonest. Stay away.
Would strongly recommend spending the extra $500 and getting the 1060/1070 versions.
For gamers, which this laptop is targeted at, the 1060/1070 absolutely trash the 960m (which is essentially a well binned 860m).
Having gone from a 960m to a 1060 the difference is astounding.
Is the keyboard backlit?
