Important to highlight (1.5GB for first 6 months then 500MB).
Just looked at the fine print, and it says: "No minimum term applies to the Mobile Plans 4G." I assume there'd be nothing stopping you moving after 6 months then?
Edit: good to see more value in the lower end of phone plans, for people who have wifi at home and work. Nearest competitor I can think of is OVO - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/282154
Thanks Cloudy, Sinners and Kati for noticing the 500MB after 6 months and no exit fees. I've updated the title and description.
The previously posted OzBargain deals were:
- OVO Mobile Plan Specially Designed for Kids: $9.95 /30 Days 1GB Data, $200 Calls UNLIMITED SMS + Free Cyber Security Service
- Kogan Mobile, $10.36/1GB Eqv. Per Month, When You Pay for a Year Upfront [Expired]
- Vaya 12 Month Unlimited Std Talk/Text Mobile Plans from $120 (New Customers) [Expired]Kogan Plan expires on 31 Jan 2017.
TPG also still has $10 for 1.5G for first 6 months (19.90 from then on, new customers only). I ported out for a while for an Optus special then ported back to TPG with same number and it has let me have the $10 new customer deal again. Great experience with them, good service and no excess charge if you go over, just cuts you off.
Do you have a link?
ill stick with vaya
Exetel still have the $10 per month deal for six months with 2GB and $600 call credit.
I really don't get signing customers on a plan and then changing it 6 months later. Don't they want to keep these customers?
They pocket $10 upfront for every sign-up in the guise of activation fee, so the more "new" sign-ups the merrier
Beware, the 1.5 GB is for first 6 months, its 500mb afterwards.
Also, there's a $10 per GB fee if u go over ur data. That's pretty hefty.
All else, not bad.
