  They should give the machines away for free as they make their money selling you over priced coffee pods.
  You can only buy/use the Dolce Gusto pods to use with this machine.

    There are places claiming to sell compatible pods - do they not work?

      They work fine, I rather the official ones taste wise though, about $0.53 a pod regular price & the compatible ones I tried weren't much cheaper. There are slight discounts at Officeworks, eBay, some supermarket specials (2 for $15 / $0.47 a pod at Foodland SA tomorrow etc.)
